On a more serious note, I don't give a flying [censored] about this topic one way or another. But I could have sworn someone made that very same suggestion just yesterday. Search before you [censored].

    [/ QUOTE ]
I did search, but my search-fu is weak. For example, sometimes I can't even find my own arcs in MA...
  2. I know that many SGs are creating SG-specific MA arcs, but for the arcs to earn tickets for people playing them they must be published on an individual's account. This uses up one of that person's arcs, and makes the arc visible to anyone, including non-SG members.

Instead, how about allowing designated SG members to post SG-specific MA arcs on the Mission Computer and Oracle items in their bases? That way the arc would not use up one of an individual's arc slots, and would only be usable by SG-members.
  3. There are also at least two illicit arcs about you, but I can't tell you how to find them...
  4. [ QUOTE ]
    "What do you want?"
    "Information. Information. Information."
    "You won't get it!"
"By hook or by crook, we will."

Yay for the Prisoners. I may have to do something with these guys now in an arc.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    "What is your number?"
  5. I haven't published an arc with flying custom enemies yet, in part because my custom mobs only fly if they absolutely have to. If they can get where they want to go by running, they run. They only fly if there is no other way for them to reach their objective.

I would prefer another option for some of my custom critters: Always Fly. That way they'd always fly to their objective, and if they close to melee range they'd hover next to their target.

    Holy Cow!

This is what caught my eye from this page: :

    [/ QUOTE ]
I think it's too soon to assume that everything on that survey page is going into game with the Rogue Expansion. Better to be pleasantly surprised if more of them do than to be bitterly disappointed if it's "just" the stuff mentioned in the press release...
  7. [ QUOTE ]
Good, maybe now all the demons, "T3h 3vil D00dz", and emo red and black-colored heroes will GTFO and go to the Rogue Isles where they belong.

    [/ QUOTE ]
OK, but only if Paragon City takes all the cat-girls. Do we have a deal?
  8. [ QUOTE ]
Those words aren't considered swears. And I did find it kinda funny having that error message pop up every time I typed "assassin."

The issue isn't "what is considered profanity and why are people so hung up on certain words?" it's that the filter is blocking perfectly legitimate words.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Are you still getting error messages for "assassin"? I used the word assassin several times in arc 2134 with no errors, and that was published within a few days after Issue 14 went live.
  9. Once you have entered the mission, click the "i" in the red starburst in the navigation compass. That will display everything except the after-mission debriefs.

I didn't realize that even existed until a guildmate pointed it out to me during an AE mission.
  10. I try to put at least a brief description on any custom NPCs I create, though for "cannon fodder" it's sometimes just a sentence such as "Shroud Gunman prefer to attack their enemies from range". I try to be be more descriptive for my unique "named" NPCs in case the palyer bothers to check, but I don't put any story-vital info there.
  11. [ QUOTE ]
Cannon = big gun mounted on a carriage or chassis.

Canon = "official" story or history.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Cannnonites = fanatical literary cult known for loading their cannons with heavy history tomes. One of their common battle cries is "Let's throw the book at them!"

How did you discover the plot of my next arc? I haven't even tested it!
  13. In my experience pre-patch, the Police spawned differently at different level ranges in the same mission. In other words, if I ran my mission with my high-level toons, I got different types of Police than if I ran the same mission with my low-level toons. Perhaps that is what you are seeing?
  14. No - according to JLove, the NPCs use a different character model than player-created characters, so our editor cannot process them.

... , anything that deforms the player avatar..

You mean like this? We had this in COV Beta, but they "nerfed" it after I reported it as a bug...
  16. [ QUOTE ]
Have you seen Faultline lately? If you were gone for two years, does that mean you haven't seen Faultline since before I8? It's not exactly a ghost town any more. Check it out. You may be in for a surprise.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Some people (like me) go there quite often just for the donuts... ;0
  17. One of the NPCs in my "Hentai" arc has a pet gerbil on her shoulder named Gere in honor of a certain gerbil-related urban legend.
  18. I don't think Vahz are as bad now as they were when the game first launched. Back then, no players had any toxic defense, which made the Vahz very tough.

    Stumped.

I only use Defeat All if there is a plot reason to do so. Even then, I prefer to use smaller maps for it, if there is a suitable one available. I also try to use other options to reduce the enemy counts, such as adding more clickies to use up spawn locations.

I know from reading these forums that some players will skip my arcs because one mission out of four in is a defeat all, but I am primarily creating these arcs for my own enjoyment. If a few other players find them entertaining as well, so much the better.

    Jenkins is MIA

He's probably somewhere goofing again. Either that or he got captured again.
  21. Personally, I'm hoping the devs give a truly "small" cargo ship map. Maybe just have the first "room" that the current long ship maps have. From a plot perspective, I needed a ship for one of my arcs, but I don't need a big one. In fact, a small ship would fit my plot better.

Some people in this thread have mentioned a problem with objects spawning properly in ship maps. In my ship-arc, I have run through the map dozens of times and never had something not spawn (I use floor objects). If you want, I can look up which map I use when I get home to my game machine.
  22. Ran into one yesterday that I think was unintentional. There was an ally by herself in the first room, so there was no way to avoid picking her up. She was set to aggressive, had long range attacks, and apparently increased perception. Throughout the entire mission the ally would pull from a different group on each shot. Since she was a minion, she didn't contribute much DPS, but boy did she try to grief us!

Now imagine a large map with long site lines, such as a warehouse, with several allies like that. Put it at the end of a multi-mission arc so the player has some time invested in the arc...
  23. In my experience, any escort mission counts as "failable", regardless of whether or not it's actually possible to fail the mission. Just put "Error - how did you fail this?" in the failure text field and you should be golden.
  24. I ran into this a couple times. Not sure what causes it (bug puts unprintable character in trigger name field?), but the only sure-fire way I know of to correct it is to delete the trigger event completely, then recreate it from scratch.
  25. Haven't seen it recently (knock on wood), but while testing one of my arcs every medium-length tech map would sometimes (and only sometimes) put the one ally spawn designated as "middle" before the spawns designated as "front". Since my plot called for the tech maps, I eventually gave up and hoped that players wouldn't one-star me if they ran into the ally right next to the door, instead of just before the end boss as I had planned.
