CoH Put AE in Faultline

Well after an almost three year hiatus I've come back to see all the shiny new goodies they put in . Fantastic stuff, great work devs.

Although this is almost definitely going to be overlooked, since there seems to be complaints about the farm spam, why not De-Hazard Faultline, and just stick it in there? You can finally get some traffic in (my old favorite zone)!

This would be its biggest surge in popularity since the first month of release!

Faultline still has some of the best written and playable stories in this game. I still have no idea why they put up a new AE building in a disaster area! Gotta fix the roads and plumming b4 the economy no?

If ever a zone was a hazard zone just by the look of it, Faultline and Boomtown qualify. Not sure they would de-hazzard it. While I agree, that I wish traffic was better there, it seems the only draw is the story of what really happened to Overbrook.

Putting an AE in a Hazzard zone when it is accessable to all lvls anyway doesn't seem to make sense. But the truth is Atlas park is as far as u need to go for AE now-a-days. Faultline is a quiet getaway to work in peace. It seems to be drawing as well as Perez, Striga, and Dark Astoria right now. Only NPCs....

It was somewhat tongue in cheeck, I always loved Faultline (and the original Boomtown for that matter) but even before I took my 2 year hiatus those places were ghost town.
Boomtown never recovered after I1 when the sewer section became irrelevant.

Taking AE out of the main zones and sticking it in the (close to) zero traffic zones is one potential solution from separating out the farming crowd from the oldworld content crowd (at least until it dies down)

I want it put in Boomtown and nowhere else blueside.

The problem with the theory that "hiding" AE will stop people from spamming about needing an AE team is that people do it in locations that have no AE building to begin with.

It will stop people from spamming in Atlas for the most part.

I hear no one spamming for AE *farming* teams anywhere but Atlas. If I go somewhere else (like Steel) I have a greater chance of someone wanting to run a real mission in AE instead of a comm officer farm.

Also, I don't play on Freedom so I'm not used to Atlas being the idiot spam fest that it currently is on every server now >.>

So? There is no absolute bar to spamming of any sort. The idea is to substantially reduce it from high traffic areas and the people interested in that sort of thing will tend to gravitate to where the AE is.

I've leveled an alt from 1 to 34 since AE came out, and I've seen AE spam in every single location that I've been to. I play on Virtue.

It won't stop people from spamming in Atlas, because they spam where the people are, and if AE is in one spot, and all the spammers magically go there, then people won't be there and the spammers will follow them back to civilization.

Watch a freaking zombie movie, man! It's the fundamentals. :P

Putting it in Boomtown only puts it in the lowest traffic area in the entire game.

It'd be like if, before AE, they moved the freak farm mission into Boomtown. That'd move the farm recruitment broadcast spam out of PI as well.

Most people who want to be PLed or farm will go where the PLing and farming occurs. The PI example proves that. (prior to MA existing)

Even on Freedom a lionshare of the farm/PL spam in broadcast was in PI.

Have you seen Faultline lately? If you were gone for two years, does that mean you haven't seen Faultline since before I8? It's not exactly a ghost town any more. Check it out. You may be in for a surprise.

Some people (like me) go there quite often just for the donuts... ;0

Faultline is my favorite zone, and it makes sense to have the AE building there, as they're in the rebuilding mode anyway (all those new apartments).

I don't understand why there's an AE building in RWZ, though. That makes absolutely no sense from a "Paragon City" perspective.

Please try my arcs:

Arc# 63910 "Why Do Bad Girls Like Bad Boys?" (length=Long, levels 40+)
Arc# 401500 "How to Be a Successful Professional Criminal" (length=Very Long, levels 1-10)

Ah ha. Well, that does make sense (for gameplay) then.

Maybe they could house it in a bunker-looking building with armed gaurds and machine gun nests instead of the lovely office building complex they current have.

Have you noticed the missile batteries and giant mechs outside?
