  1. Many years and several accounts later, I'd like to thank certain Justice players who made my COH experience so wonderful.

    In COH Beta
Saurian- who showed me the ropes when I first dipped my toe in Paragon City.
Justice - There are too many wonderful players to name. Although most have long since gone, I'd like to thank each of these outstanding individuals for leaving so meaningful an impression.

    Tytan
    AngryPirate
    Energy Flare
    Lady Tsunami
    Blinding Aura
    TicToc
    Sinful Angel
    Fan Fania
    Kid Courage
    Magic Man
    Doc Bot 2112
    Philly Blunt
    Supragirl
Captain Flames (we had some wild zombie sweeps in DA)
    Elemental Flame
    Blaster Knight

    Villain Side
    Gorrak the Destroyer
    La Tormenta Radiante

    With special shoutouts to
    1) Whoever told me the trick to skipping to level 42 when I1 was being demoed in test.
    2) Everyone I swept the streets with back when level 30s could clear out level 40s
    3) Portal Missions (surprisingly fun)
    4) Drek

There are countless people I must have missed, so if you are (or ever have) played on Justice, give yourself a pat on the back. We were the best community I could ever have hoped for in a game.

Its been fun. Much love to all.
  2. I just picked up TOR and rolled a toon on Harbinger. 'JanusElement'. Although my busy work hours makes me a 'casual' at best, I'd love to play with fellow COH refugees.
  3. I'm a huge fan of Ascendant's work on Virtue (and have been since 2004-5) and his sense of humor certainly beats out the titular Incarnates. I didn't think Penny Yin is in his weight class though.

I was peed off that a version of him demolished Alpha Upsilon 24-2. That dimension had the most delicious Ascendant-Os.
  4. Since unfortunately we'll never get to sic Rularuu on the Battalion it had me thinking about what other tactics the heroes and villains could use to save their hides (and the world).

A number of powerful artifacts have made their way into the game which individually or collectively may have provided alternatives to the great dimensional muncher.

    1) Malleus Mundi, with the demonstrated power to alter behavior and was hypothesized to be powerful enough to whipe the villains off the planet. I think there is some question whether its power is limited to Earth alone or applicable to the universe at large. Potentially having a measure of control over Earth alone could incapacitate a ground invasion. Perhaps it could be used to cause heroes and villains to Ascend or convert them into Rularuu or Dimensionless level caliber beings that could go toe to toe with the entire Battalion. The book could probably be restored by some use of (2) and (3) below.

    2) Tears of the Spirit- With an unlimited reading of its powers that purportedly provides reality warping powers when used properly could result in the deletion of the Battalion from reality. The tears are said to have been shed by a goddess which may imply they're underpowered to challenge an incarnate level threat. However they could be used in conjunction with another artifact (restore the Malleus Mundi or restore the PsychoChronoMetron). As in (1), its possible it can bootstrap a hero into Ascension or conversion into a power being like Rularuu or the Dimensionless.

    3) PsychoChronoMetron - This would take some work to bring back into existence. Possessing unspecified ability to alter reality and time, it could presumably be used to power up heroes and villains as in (1)and (2), or delete the Battalion from history (for example, by destroying its founder). Requiring major psychic power to make big shifts in history, artifacts (1) and (2) could probably be used to either enhance a psychic hero's powers far beyond anything seen before or boost the PCM to require less power to make drastic changes.

I'd love to hear anything other fans (and devs) come up with.

    Loregasm

I'm not sure if this is the correct thread but I would love to hear a few words on certain lore to rap things up. Please forgive me if this is being greedy but the end times have arrived

In particular, I'd like hear what the developers intended for concepts of ascended and dimensionals (what does it mean to become your own well (e.g.is each ascended capable of universe munching, who and what are the dimensionals (evolved ascended? a unique race? the distant future of humanity come back to the past?) and how they tie in to the True Rikti, as well as any additional lore they have to offer on the True Rikti (motivations, how are they higher up the food chain than dimensionals for example who probably ought to be tougher than Rularuu).

Also is Rularuu the prime cosmic villain, or are there "individual" enemies out there who are even more powerful than consuming a universe in an eyeblink. Who or what is the singular most powerful force within the COH universe. How does Rularuu match up with the True Rikti?

Also re: two of my favorite artifacts, would the proper use of an artifact like the Tears of the Spirit or the Mallleus Mundi have the juice to defeat the Battallian/Dimensionals/or the True Rikti. Were the Tears of the Spirit a one time shot to alter reality or did it provide permanent Mxyzptlk like reality warping powers to someone who used them properly? Can either be used to ascend or rewrite a character into a Rularuu/dimensional being?
  6. I'm looking for some last lore to tie up the loose ends. Can anyone point to me (other than the loregasm collection) sources on what the post-Incarnate Ascended stage was meant to be and any info on the Dimensionless.

Thank you friends. I will always love and miss this community.
  7. So? There is no absolute bar to spamming of any sort. The idea is to substantially reduce it from high traffic areas and the people interested in that sort of thing will tend to gravitate to where the AE is.
  8. It was somewhat tongue in cheeck, I always loved Faultline (and the original Boomtown for that matter) but even before I took my 2 year hiatus those places were ghost town.
Boomtown never recovered after I1 when the sewer section became irrelevant.

Taking AE out of the main zones and sticking it in the (close to) zero traffic zones is one potential solution from separating out the farming crowd from the oldworld content crowd (at least until it dies down)
  9. I personally recommend Zen Buddhism for the poster who made the "the adults are talking" comment. Its a great way to master excessive (and unsightly) pride, and you'll be a happier person for it.
    Best wishes
  10. Just a short canon Q for those of you in the know.
Is the MA 'in-game' a pocket reality or just a hologram?
  11. Well after an almost three year hiatus I've come back to see all the shiny new goodies they put in . Fantastic stuff, great work devs.

Although this is almost definitely going to be overlooked, since there seems to be complaints about the farm spam, why not De-Hazard Faultline, and just stick it in there? You can finally get some traffic in (my old favorite zone)!

This would be its biggest surge in popularity since the first month of release!
