Editing Bad Guys that Were made by the Devs
No - according to JLove, the NPCs use a different character model than player-created characters, so our editor cannot process them.
huh, ok. thanks
What you can do is, make a custom group, make your special Bone Daddy, then import regular Skulls into your custom group.
Probably easier just to make a custom character then place him in mish as a boss surrounded by regular skulls as the enemy group.
true true true. thank you for the suggestions
I really hope they at least let us edit the names and descriptions in some future patch. That would be incredibly useful.

You can if they're a boss. But actually editing them for a custom group would be nice too. Heck I'd like if some could go to higher level ranges. Level 54 Succubus for the win!
Of course, if you do that, they have the wrong faction name. :/

Whoa, whoa. I was just about to make a thread on this. How do you import regular PVE critters into a custom group? I've seen people do it before (e.g regular Council marked 'Bobs Discount Mercs' or whatever). I want to be able to use this in MA if I can, what's the technique? Also, can you mix/match PVE critters into a custom group (e.g. Putting freaks and trolls into the same group)?

Go to "Edit custom group"
From the list on the left, add whatever standard critters you want.
Save the group as "Bob's Discount Mercs" or whatever. The standard critters will appear in your custom group.
Yes you can mix and match PvE critters, however they won't appear together unless their level ranges overlap. So Freaks and Trolls would only appear together at exactly level 20, although a custom group that contains Freaks and Trolls would go from 5-54 since it would contain critters that fit all those level ranges. If you were below 20 you would get only Trolls, over 20 it would be only Freaks.

Yes, you can do both of those things.
You learn interesting things about mobs besides. I was making a custom Circle of Thorns subset, because I wanted the Succubus and the Hordelings to spawn blueside if appropriate to the levels. I also wanted the story to be playable between 12 and 40, so I failed to include the spectres.
It seems the reason you get so many Fire, Earth, and Air mages in the standard spawns is because there are several copies of those mobs with identical names and slightly different powers. I added only one of each. Removing them skews the spawns in favor of the archer and behemoth guys; you may get one mage per spawn but never spawns of three mages on solo.

Another thing people miss is that when you pick a standard mob they may have more than one "look". There is an arrow to right of their picture in the editor so you can click it to get the one you want.
Citizens are the best example of this as there are tons of different Male and Female citizens.

You can't please everyone, so lets concentrate on me.
Hmm. Thanks Hera & Eva...I'll be looking into this once I'm back ingame. You might see another question from me, but we'll see how it goes.

And I just learned something. Thank you, I've been wondering how to get the blond Malta Tac Ops boss.

I wish we could use controller set pets as enemies in an enemy group.
For example: making a group of nothing but fly traps. and then the thorn tree as the boss. etc.
Hey, is there a way to edit baddies that were made in game already. I want to edit a Bone daddy to look different than the rest, is that possible to do with MA?
