As far as I can tell from the I20 Teaser Trailer, the character in question appears to only be wearing red gloves and the effect we see in the first picture is just from the power effects.

Quote:Was unaware of all the differences, glad there's many thriving CoH communities out there.I don't see that ever happening to be fair, while I appreciate what Titan has done with the OuroPortal its a completely different beast when compared to either VirtueVerse or UnionVerse. Both of the server wikis are very much community oriented to the specific server and its RP communities. The sites also cater to far greater creative freedom and are not limited by the T for Teen rating.
Also its important to note that VirtueVerse alone has over 26,000 pages compared to the 3K on Ouroportal. And both VirtueVerse and UnionVerse were around well before Ouroportal. -
I updated some links above that I hadn't realized had broke.

Quote:Also a Possibility.Actually, I think this might be related in some way to the patch today that added animal-themed NPCs to Pocket D and Studio 55 - like it might have shuffled the list of Studio 55 NPCs slightly, moving the dancers off the list forthat location, and onto the list of PPD models.

Quote:You could always see about folding those into Ouroboros Portal. If I wasn't already running/maintaining VirtueVerse and UnionVerse on my own I'd offer up some help with front end web dev. But the wiki's already have my up to my eyeballs, so good luck finding people.

Quote:For starters, I want to preface this with the fact that while I like the idea of power respecs in theory, I in no way think they will or should be implemented. That being said, it doesn't change my argument, one shouldn't be expected to give up early game performance for late game performance. All power sets should level within acceptable speeds at all level ranges, and if they all do, it shouldn't matter if I change from one to the other.Do us a favor and go back and re-read what Claws wrote until you understand it. It has nothing to do with performance at 50. What Claws wrote was about the journey to 50. You could take one set that levels quickly to begin with and then when it gets tougher later on, switch to another set that doesnt suck leveling at higher levels to 50.
Quote:Then, when you get to 50, switch at almost anytime you want to any other combo's of powers without rolling an alt. Can you say barren low level content? -
Quote:You do realize people can like an idea even if the Devs don't?Beef, I hope that was a bad attempt at sarcasm.
If not, you obviously missed a few things like:
Quote:the devs have flat out told us that they will never allow powerset respecs.
Quote:and this is one of the reasons why they said no:
Quote:Also, there are a number of sets that start out good and taper off in high levels, while there are other sets that struggle early and turn into powerhouses later.
Imagine, if you will, leveling as a Fire/Regen scrapper, which levels very quickly, without much downtime in the early game.
If the OP got his wish you would then be able to respec into being an Electric/Shield scrapper, which struggles early but gets stupidly powerful at high levels.
You'd get to have your cakewalk and eat it too, which is something the devs have mentioned repeatedly that they don't want happening. Their other reasoning is that it undoes a lot of work they did trying to make the game alt-friendly, if you can level 1 character to 50 and respec it whenever you want to play a different powerset, there would be no need to roll more characters. -
I thought the Cap was for Global boosts and wouldn't include the enhancements slotted in the power.

Quote:I thought Brian Clayton was the big boss.Back in Jan 2010, War Witch took the mantle of Lead Designer. Allowing Positron to work with systems.
Big Boss [Producer] now is Second Measure who took over for Ghost Falcon in Jan 2011. -
Quote:/bind Space "+up$$powexecname Beast Run$$powexecname Ninja Run"I can run with beast run but when I press down on the space bar to jump it turn on ninja run for a flip then I can release the space bar and that turns beast run on?
That will switch between the 2 when you jump, the animations seem to lag though, and wont switch correctly, are at least they did when tried it with NR and CJ. -
Quote:Or 3) make a Ninja run like power which uses the run on water animation. Also you could have it not change the idle in water animation so it appeared our characters dropped back into the water when they stop moving. This has been asked for before (though not usually with a specific speed in mind). The problem is, the geometry can't tell how fast you are going, and determine how to interact with you based on that. Basically, with the way the game works, there would only be two things to do: 1) What we have now, with everyone swimming, or 2) if anyone has a +runspeed power, then run on the water, even if standing still. Obviously, number 2 is fairly dumb, as if you stop running, you wouldn't sink.

Quote:Except you get 2% more regen with the Regenerative Tissue unique, and Numina's Heal and unique, while using only 3 slots.Three heal IO would put you at the ED cap. If I remember correctly, the "two items slotted" bonus from Numina is a bonus to regen, and the unique proc IO is also a bonus to regen and endurance recovery. So by adding four slots, you get the ED cap on regen from the power, plus the set bonus, plus the proc bonus.
Quote:I believe there's also a similar trick related to Stamina, but I don't know the precise slotting or IOs needed. -
From the wiki:
Quote:Petsay Binds
As of Issue 13, code has been added to prevent players from crashing other players clients through tags that use angle brackets (the greater than and less than signs, <, >).
As of Issue 18 this has been fixed for almost all binds and macros with one exception: Newly made /petsay binds can't parse the angle brackets. However, petsay macros do work.
As a workaround, you can use the /beginchat in a bind to put the petsay command into the command line and then just hit enter. E.g.:
/bind <key> beginchat "/petsayall <emote dance>"
Will put /petsayall <emote dance> in the command line. Then just hit enter. -
Quote:Not seeing how it can be read as get's the star regardless of the leaders wishes. Would assume it'd be a popup that the leader has 10 min. to respond to, so the worst that could happen to an ATK leader is he gets spammed with request to give up the star and has to kick the offending player. The boot from mish idea isn't bad, but this is a horrible idea.
"If there is no response from the team leader, the first requester automatically gets the star"?
Um, no. The way that would work is if someone requests the star and the leader doesn't hand it over the game FORCES them to hand it over?
So if an obnoxious PuG member keeps demanding that you kick someone for no good reason, they can request the star and get it regardless of the leader's wishes?
No, I don't think so. I don't want team leaders to have to bend to every ridiculous demand a teammate makes in order to avoid having the star taken and getting kicked themselves.
The only big alteration I'd make is that rather then giving the star to the requester, have it pass as if the team leader DCed. -
I think Penomni enhancements would work.

The hot-fix related to level shifts was to deal with crashes caused by level shifted pets summoning sudo-pets. There was a bug that acted as if you already did the once per week run, which was suppose to have been fix. Your bug seems to be just that the NotW isn't showing up even though it is rewarded, which sounds like a new bug.
-
The level shift doesn't affect those you are Side-kicking, they are still only level 49.
-
If all that happened was you canceled your payment plan and didn't actually let you account lapse there shouldn't be any problems, your account is still active, it should still count. As I recall, there were a few players who, due to billing hiccups, had their accounts go inactive for a day and still got the last loyalty badge. I think they had to file a petition to get it but they still got it.

Quote:I went back and read this more carefully and felt the need to point out that substituting Doctored Wounds for Panacea is no different then substituting a common, uncommon or rare Alphas for the the Very rare.- Not every character can slot a Gladiator 3% resistance, or a Panacea. But every single character can get the Incarnate abilities. There's not as much choice, either; if I can't afford Panacea I can slot the much cheaper Doctored Wounds, but when it comes to Incarnate slots, there's just one path.
-
Quote:Given how little of an advantage a very rare gives over a rare, I can't see many people plopping down $10 for them, in fact were in not for the fact that I've already made 2 rares and the badge for crafting the very rares, I honestly don't think I'd bother with the very rares. Also every indication is that the other slots aren't as binary an unlock as alpha is, so a fresh 50 very well might earn all of the salvage he needs for one slot while working twords earning the next, and that's assuming that the earn rate of Notices don't go up come i20, or that later slots even use Notices. There's a lot of really big assumptions that need to be made to make RMTing for Very Rares seem reasonable enough that Paragon Studios should risk destroying the market to counter it with their own RMT instead of, you know, just making sure the NotW is sufficiently obtainable. You can only get one Notice of the Well per week from the WTF. Once all the slots are in place, a new level 50 character would need 40 to very-rare all their slots. 10 months is a long time to wait. Let's say someone just got their 10th Notice, but in playing so, they have enough shards for 10 Notice conversions, but not the billion influence required. They save a lot of time by getting the billion influence quickly for $10 from an RMT, rather than paying for 10 weeks of playtime (three months at $15 each = $45).
