The Seven Year Stretch: Are unnoticeable bumps acceptable?

Hello!

Having a great interest in the Seven Years of Super Rewards, I intend to stay for the next several months. For convoluted reasons, however, it was necessary for me to change my payment method from Visa to PayPal. In doing so, the Plaync.com interface required that I cancelled my account. I did so and reactivated my account within literally seconds.

Am I disqualified from the Seven Year program since I cancelled? The account never lapsed, I just withdrew payment for my next charge, which was scheduled to happen tomorrow. The website thought that I had deactivated my card, and I'd like to still be eligible for these awesome gifts.

Thank you!

Did you ask support this question or are you only posing it to us?

Why do I never think of doing the smart thing first?

I'll send out a ticket.

If all that happened was you canceled your payment plan and didn't actually let you account lapse there shouldn't be any problems, your account is still active, it should still count. As I recall, there were a few players who, due to billing hiccups, had their accounts go inactive for a day and still got the last loyalty badge. I think they had to file a petition to get it but they still got it.

I would think you are good, because when you really do cancel your account you it's not ended immediately. You still have an "active" account until your current payment runs out. So when the next billing date rolls around and your sub is paid again, you're still active.

You're fine. In fact, I asked a related question when this was announced. A couple months ago, one of my accounts mysteriously failed to auto-renew (3 month auto-renewing). I got an email from NCSoft that the account had lapsed and immediately re-upped. My account actually LAPSED for several hours.

When the rewards were announced, I explained what had happened to me previously and said I'd be pretty annoyed if I lost out because NCSoft's billing was borked. I was told that the account needs to be active every day - as long as a lapse is less than 24 hours, you're fine. In your case, the account never lapsed at all.

Yay! Thank you all for the answers!

In theory, even if your account was temporarily cancelled due to swapping payment methods, as long as your account was technically active during the day, you'll be fine.

Now if your account is active today, inactive tomorrow, and stays inactive all day tomorrow, then there may be complications.
