For #1, I have found that setting Ambient Occlusion to OFF returns 20 fps for me. When the game still stutters too much, which I've begun noticing usually happens after leaving a mission or my SG Base, doing a /reloadgfx seems to clear things up for a while.
For #2, make sure you have Tool Tips enabled in your Options. -

This weekend I finally figured out how to tell which doppleganger is whose outside of certain distinguishing costume characteristics. The dopplegangers retain the SG name of the character they're a copy of. So unless you're in a team full of SG mates, you ought to be able work out who is who.

With manic clicking, I was able to get 4-5 instances of the same item up for sale before the UI reset. I'm hoping that one day perhaps, I can dup the sale of a single item. Of course, with my luck, it'll probably happen when I'm putting up a Ceramic Armor.

One of Seer Merano's missions at Mercy Island has had this bug since COV launch. It's pretty well known. There another occasion where I've encountered this bug, but I don't recall what mission it was. Although, frankly, I don't recall seeing the bug outside of Mercy Island.

Do you have and are you using Fearsome Stare? It's got a decent -tohit debuff that lasts a bit. So as long as you are able to get it off before getting stunned, you'll have a margin to live through the down time.
On a personal note, I have Air Superiority set on auto-attack. I Ctrl-Tab to target the nearest approaching foe and as soon as I get out of the mez, AS will go off immediately and bounce him. While he's getting up, I have time to use 1-2 powers (depends on animation). With Air Superiority on auto-attack, I can keep any foe up to and including some EBs permanently bouncing while I beat the crap out of them. No other power has saved me from defeat as consistantly as Air Superiority and all it needs is just 2 accuracies and an optional 1 recharge. -
Way, way back in the day, I was a heading to the Yellow Line at Steel Canyon when I came upon a bunch of players hanging out at the Tram. They were all named after chemical elements, so I figured they were a theme supergroup. I stopped by them and asked "do you all meet periodically?" Alas, I got no response from them. I never saw them again though.

It depends if you're going for Set Bonuses or not. If you do want Set Bonuses, then you'd have to consider what levels you might be exemplaring to. If not and you're just mix and matching Set IO pieces or just using Common IOs, then you'd probably want the highest you can afford for better basic attribute boost numbers.
For Set IOs, I usually get low to mid-30s for any powers I get below mid-30s. Then level appropriate Set IOs for powers picked up after them. -
You can start memorizing the recipes for the Common IOs. One of the perks with doing this is you'll get extra salvage and recipe slots. If you have enough Vanguard Merits, you can also buy the bag of holding for more salvage slots.

I also left my email setting unchanged so I could receive the RMT spam. I figured if no one was reporting the them, then no one is killing their accounts.

In an old Ask a Dev segment, War Witch answered a question about why sometimes you were sent to a mission door that's totally inconsistant with the verbiage of the mission. She said that each zone has a bunch of doors coded as mission doors. When a mission is chosen, the mission would randomly pick and assign a door from the pool. I'd like to suggest that with every Issue, the doors in the mission door pool get changed. It doesn't have to be every door in every zone, just a few here and there to keep things interesting and surprising. There are many zone neighborhoods that I have never been sent to for a mission. If I hadn't done any sight seeing, those parts of my Map would still be dark after 6 years.
On a different note, I would like some skinnier skyscrapers. It peeves me everytime I encounter a block wide building that is blocking (pun?) my way to where I want to go. -
Stealth from the Concealment power pool is also a drag on flight speed with it's -speed.

Quote:I think Statesman said the reason the enhancements sold by your Contacts were more expensive is due to their convenience. Its a little outdated in the current form of the game with so many additions to the original concept of missions from contacts (as well as the advancement of crafted enhancements), but I think the idea was that of "impulse buy". Rather than running all over virtual creation, keep focused on the task at hand and grab what the contact offered, if your enhancements had gone into the red.
Convenience as in:
(1) you know where your Contacts were because back in the day, the brick and mortar stores weren't marked on your minimap, and
(2) you would be coming back to your Contact on a regular basis to get more missions anyway, which really didn't make sense since by the time your Contacts opened up their full enhancements store to you, you would already be able to call them from afar.
Edit:
(3) I think the Contacts sold the non-Power-10 enhancements 5 levels earlier than a brick and mortar store too. -
Enhancment Diversification wouldn't have caused such a furvor if the Invention system was implemented at the same time or at least announced as coming soon.

5. Under "Recipes", move the "Other" category back to the top of the listing as opposed to alphabetizing it within the entire recipes listing as it is now. The idea here is that the most frequently transacted recipes (i.e., Commons) should be quickly and easily accessible. (High) Quote:20. Give Temp recipes their own tab with the left-pane expansion and add level ranges to their descriptions. -
Quote:You don't need to spell out the whole name. The "... sapper" part is just the pattern of the name that you're looking for. Thanks for the macro! I always wondered how to do that. What if the name of the enemy you are looking for is more than one word?
Like if you're targeting Shamans, you can use:
/macro pta "targetcustomnext enemy alive sham"
and it'll pick up Storm Shamans, Death Shamans and Avalance Shamans.
- the 'pta' is the arbitrary name that'll show on your grey macro button.
- the 'targetcustomnext' command lets you cycle your targeting through all the Shamans in your view.
- the 'enemy' subparameter will ignore team mates who might have the pattern "sham" in their name.
- the 'alive' subparameter will ignore the already defeated ones.
Again, since it's a macro, you can right click the macro button to edit it if you're looking for something else, like a hostage (assuming you know what they're named). -
I hoard Insps too. At one point, I had 7 Insp storage bins in each of my 2 hero-side bases with about 80% tier3 sized Insps. My 3 villain-side bases had 5-6 storage bins each, but that's only because I don't play villain side much. I finally had to sell off 3 each of my hero-side storage bins earlier this year to make room for other storage.
As to personal use, I don't mind using them when necessary. My problem though, is that there seems to always be a 1-3 seconds delay between me clicking on the Insp to it taking affect. I'd be dead by then and, of course, typically immediately after the Insp does finally activates. It has gotten to the point where I have no confidence in trying to use an Insp in an emergency. Instead of wasting time repeatedly clicking the Insp, I could be making another attack or concentrating on getting away. So now, my Insps load outs are geared more towards pre-fight prep for the final boss or measured used during a prolonged AV beat down. -
Find them: /macro sap "targetcustomnext enemy alive sapper"
After that, use whatever power you have available to disable them. -
I favor Blasters and Controllers.
Blasters because it can be a very laid back playstyle once you know what you're doing, just point and shoot, wack a mole, and look at the big orange numbers. No complicated team responsibility other than back up a team mate if you can.
Controllers because they're very flexible. The playstyle is very active, though. One needs to be aware of everything everywhere and be ready to deal with it. Plus I like to have a Pet covering my back, when I'm not cover its, of course. -
I'm used to using Red Tomax's guides:

The Eden Trial is still bugged, right? You still need someone in range of it, 39-41, to be the team leader to start the Trial or the team will auto-disband.

And in case you never noticed, everytime you log in a character, the green system messages that show up on your chat window tells you what your global name is. It'd be something like @stumpy.
