Nav Malfunction

Hey everyone, long time player, first time poster.

I never thought my post on these forums would be a question, but here goes:

As my Villain, I noticed that my Nav thumbtack keeps getting locked on to a particular door; one that is unrelated to my missions or contacts.

Example:
I would highlight a nearby Arbiter I knew the location of, but the Nav would lock on to an entirely different area; that same door.

Do any of you know what causes this?

One of Seer Merano's missions at Mercy Island has had this bug since COV launch. It's pretty well known. There another occasion where I've encountered this bug, but I don't recall what mission it was. Although, frankly, I don't recall seeing the bug outside of Mercy Island.

I've run into what is probably something similar, although only in Mercy. I know about the Seer Marino bug and how to deal with that (just zone and come back). This though is just whenever I want to set a thumbtack in Mercy to ensure I'm heading in the right direction when collecting the explore badges. For whatever reason, the thumbtack will always lead to the Arbiter Diaz although the marker I've placed on my map will show as being in the right place (such as a badge location). What it comes down to is that unless I know where I'm going I have to run with the map open to make sure I'm going in the right direction instead of relying on the Nav window.

EDIT: And no, this doesn't occur when inside a building. Come to think of it, unless its for a mission I never enter any buildings in Mercy.

Using /stuck has always reset the Nav point for me when it gets bugged during Seer Marino's arc.
Just move away from the incorrect Nav point and type /stuck.

Gee and here I was simply going to the star marked on my map.

That's always been my way of getting around that as well, just keeping the map open and heading to the right star.

That would work great for me if it actually showed more than one mission marker on my map. But every time I've run into that the only marker on the map is the incorrect one, thus my way of zoning and then coming back. I hadn't thought of the /stuck idea though. I didn't think that would reset a misplaced mission door marker, heh. I'll have to try that next time I do the Seer Marino arc.

Wow. How did you figure that out?

Although the bug is most notable with that one mission from Seer Marino, that mission is not the cause of the problem. See this thread for more info.
