I've participated on several of the All Defender STFs and they were by far the easiest runs I've done. The first time, I naively asked "So, who's going to tank Recluse?" and I got loled at. But when the time came, I saw why. Everyone just dropped their debuffs on him and proceeded to blasting the Towers. Recluse ran around like a little kid desperate for attention while we ignored him. It was lol-worthy.

There was a nerf to Voids? How long ago was this and what was done to them?
  3. If there is already a "main/lead/primary" tank, or someone who looks like they're taking the tanking role seriously, then I would just scrap. Unless the other tank is having a hard time staying alive, I don't see a reason to fight for the role of main tank. Let the main tank manage the aggro and I'll keep an eye out on the support team mates.

If the team is handling the spawn groups well, then once the existing spawn group is thinned down about 2/3rds, I would go out to the next group and pull them into the killing field.
  4. I've got a stack of 10 Deific Weapons that was mysteriously put on the block with an asking price of 11 million each. I don't know what it was that I had originally tried to sell or even when it happened. So now, won't one of you buy up all the Diefic Weapons and corner the market on 'em please?

    Soylent Green, it has begun.

    Ha! That's ingenious!
  7. Are you saying there are too much FX? Then how can one leech discreetly on a team? (see #2 for example)
  8. I forgot to mention another thing. The targeting box for certain enemies remain vertical after they are defeated. The targeting box doesn't go horizontal to match the fallen body. Depending on your viewing angle, that invalid target box could block quite a bit.
  9. I have: /macro gfx "unloadgfx$$sync"
  10. This happens to me all the time in a couple of my Bases. It's the Power unit that's not waking up after the 6 weeks shut down from not paying Rent. To fix it, you just need to sell your Power unit, then buy it back.
  11. I have similar issues with trying to drop patch spots. I think it occurs when I'm surrounded, either by team mates, other players, or enemies. Such that there is someone who is right behind me, in a blind spot where I am essentially looking through their body. Since their body covers my entire view, anything I try to place is targeting them and is thus invalid.

    Edit:
A lot of the new content include massive spawns of ambushes that try to either mob you or joust you. The bigger body types don't help either.

    Music of CoX

Other than the City of Heroes Going Rogue - Original Soundtrack, I didn't know the game used anyone else's original music. From what I've read, most, if not all, of the zone neighborhood music are just stock music clips.
  13. That's the way it is and it's a real pain since I like to keep the bins sorted.

There might be some who kick up a fuss, but there's no harm in explaining the above situation, and asking them if it's fine with them.

One star the fuss-pots and don't ask them again. But, for the decent folk, maybe ask about if they're running SGs?
    For TFs:

    - tell the team leader (and team) that you may need to afk frequently because of (whatever).
    - if you do have to afk for an uncertain period, exit the mission so the rest of the team can progress with the TF even if you don't come back for a while. Plus, they won't think you're just leaching.
    - try not be be the 2nd member of the team in case the team leader crashes and the star passes to you while you're afk. Ask the team leader if you can do a quick quit and reinvite before he starts, so you'd be at the bottom of the team list.
    - do try to at least be around for the last mission. Most teams will have the courtesy to wait for you to come back before they start the last mission, but any more than 10 mins is stretching it. If you are not concerned about the TF rewards (badge, etc.), you could tell the team to go ahead if you're not back in x-minutes.
  15. All pets are designed to be auto-dismissed if you drop in level. This was a fix to a bug/exploit many years ago. (I can't image it lasting more than year 1.) Lowbie Controllers were sk'ing up to level 50 (for example) via a friend, then cast their level 50 pets. They'd drop out of sk and the pets were still level 50s. They'd use their level 50 pets to powerlevel themselves.

Someone said (somewhere, probably in the big discussion thread) the "Play For Free" category is essentially an expanded version the free Trial that we have now. I think that is a good description.

How about if the GM casts Soul Storm (or a recolored equivalent) on the RMTer and flags him as an enemy so all around can beat on him. Maybe give the RMTer a slight HP boost, since they're usually level 1, so more than a couple of people can get hits in. Not too much though. You need to take into consideration that it'll be fun for the first few times, then the novelty wears off.

Instead of PvP IOs, just limit the drops to a tier3 Insp. What's more inspiring than kicking the crap out of an RMTer?
  18. Is @Ar_Kain your global name? If so, it should work.

If you're not sure, look at the mess of green System messages that you get in your Chat window when you log in a character. One of the messages is a reminder of what your global name is.
  19. You included the Incarnates stuff for crafting, but left out salvages (regular and halloween)? They're tradable even. But then again, if tradable is a criteria, then even regular enhancements apply.

Finally. But I still don't like Group Fly.

Mine had been fine since the fix years ago, then about two months ago, my character lists started to shuffle themselves. However, unlike prior to the fix where every server's character list gets shuffled almost daily, this time only one server's list gets shuffled occasionally. I don't know what triggers the shuffling.
  22. I just wanted to chime in. Last wednesday, I did a Windows Update check and saw that there was an ATI driver update. So I downloaded it and let it install. I didn't play on wednesday, so I didn't make the connection to the driver update until today. Anyway, when I tried to play on friday, at first I thought I was experiencing severe lag with the choppiness. However, it wasn't the usual rubberbanding. The game just kept pausing/freezing up. I did run Netgraph and it showed spikes that coincided with each game freeze. I never crashed, but I didn't stay on long because I couldn't deal with it.

So anyway, today, the driver update came to mind. I saw that I was running v11.5. AMD's site said they had v11.6. I tried that, but there was no improvement. I decided to do a System Restore which got me back to v11.2. And, I was able to play all night with no problems. I guess I'll stay with this version for now.

    Edit:
I should note that I have a Radeon HD 6800 card.
