Since i installed the 11.9 drivers the client hasn't frozen or crashed once and seems to run smoother. For me at least these are the best drivers yet.

Quote:Crap, i must be quite the outlier. i have 2 servers with approx 35+ and at least two with 15 or more characters. Most of the remaining servers have at least 10 characters. On the other hand less than half of those characters are over level 40 and still have costume slots to unlock in game, so there is that.If I wasn't used to it I wouldn't be around. I always have something to complain about. And I don't always get my way. But feedback is what helps improve the game. <
>
Also I seriously doubt 48 characters is anywhere near the average. Even for the types of people who would be buying costume slots. I'm one of those people (I have a character with more than 40 costumes), and I only have 20 characters. I imagine the average number of characters per account is a lot closer to a single digit. -
Quote:Actually... well, i suppose if all teams were duos then you would be correct. Joining a team of two or more is not the same as inviting someone else to join you when solo. You just said the same thing twice and are acting like they are supposed to be different things. If there are two people (A and B), then A joining B has the exact same effect as B joining A. Teaming is commutative.
While your hypothetical player is terse, I see no way in which he was ambiguous.
IMHO, YMMV, BBR, ISTS -
Quote:No, no he wasn't wrong to post the pic. Even this post is a confused mess of not getting it. It's... wow... there are so many things wrong with it that i'm just going to bow out now. Reminds me of when Dur was telling engineers and mathematicians that they knew less about how a starship should be designed because his total lack of relevant experience made him more smarter or something. This is why Furio is decidely dumb in face palming. In comics there are different types of energy. In reality there is Kinetic and Potential and everything fits in those two categories which can be summed up as "doing something" and "not doing something"
Nuclear energy is kinetic energy however comics don't always treat it as such just like sci-fi stories that differentiate between projectile and energy weapons... Most "energy" weapons are projectile weapons
So the real question is what do they believe in "kinetic" and which place you answer "whatever the writer wants" but it's obvious he can only absorb a small portion of what is called kinetic energy otherwise he'd have a lot of problems... either that or he has quite a bit of control of his power...what with him not exploding constantly
If someone else wants to waste their time i look forward to seeing it. -

Quote:This always annoys me every time i see it. A complete pacifist would not help others inflict harm. They would do their best to make sure no one at all was hurt. Mahatma Gandhi was a pacifist. He would not have ever said "I will not shoot a gun, but I will reload, steady your aim, and try to lead your targets into a crossfire as long as I don't have to hurt them personally." That is not pacifism.Would it be that hard to make a Mastermind that just so happens to be a complete pacifist? You have your buddies there to do the dirty work for you and all you do is support them and your allies.
i think passivist is a better term for this. "I'm okay with violence as long as it's not against me and I don't have to inflict it myself."
The other terms that come to mind for people who will participate in taking down others as long as they themselves don't have to actually attack are mob boss and chickenshit. -
Quote:i just pay my regular subscription to be rude."That crowd"?
You mean VIP subscribers? Because, they're the only ones who can do SSAs without having to pay extra for it.
Otherwise, they're folks who paid extra to be rude.
i sometimes forget the acronyms. i still think of the WST as the WTF. -

Ran missions and several iTrials without a single client freeze. Even with the 11.4 drivers i'd usually have one or two freezes if i didn't use /unloadgfx occasionally during an iTrial.
i5 system with 4gigs RAM, Win7 64bit, and a Sapphire Toxic 6950.
Seriously considering flashing the card's second BIOS with the 6970 version now that things are finally stable. -
Quote:Your overuse of punctuation marks has depleted the reserves which the coders and servercorns need to properly utilize/metabolize the code that keeps the game running. Please try to ration your use of punctuation to no more than two marks per ending of a sentence, but preferably you could make do with only one per sentence termination. The servercorns need those marks to function and the supply is not limitless within any given increment of time. Thank you for your understanding. Why is it that CoX(which has been around for years) is experiencing the type of issues that 99% of other games go through during their initial launch??
Here's are rhetorical question also... Why am I paying for this game when there is more down time than play time??
This is absolutely pathetic! -

Quote:...... Yeah, see, you might have wanted to mention that, rather than implying exactly the opposite by saying "this character always seemed to be," etc. (emphasis mine) A little up-front warning that you are specifically talking through your hat. Just for courtesy's sake...
But, but, but...
Well i suppose he could just put it in his signature.
In my opinion the OP was badly written, and i'm not just referring to the typos and other mechanical errors. The word that leaped out at me as being both overused and descriptive of the review itself was 'shallow'. If you can't come up with an insightful review and summarize it in 1-3 words change the format. Especially since you would write several sentences worth of words before each 'summary' anyway.
Or in the words of Jimmy Urine of MSI: "2 minute song is just one minute and 59 seconds too ******* long!" -
i like the changes as presented. Like the discussion that preceded them they seem quite reasonable, and also show that the Mods are willing to listen to the players. Kudos.

To be honest i always thought making it so that the Kheldian and Nictus forms were species from different stars and planets that coincidentally happened to be exactly identical in every respect except colours and energy types emitted was kind of, well, stupid. Very stupid.
i would've had it that both Peacebringers and Warshades were emulating the same species and that the change to Nictus altered the sort of energy emitted/used when emulating the forms. Then again it is very comic booky to have unnecessary and somewhat implausible complications instead of more logical and straightforward explanations.
Anyway, regarding alien species, the Coming Storm would seem to possibly be the Primal Earth version of The Battalion that the Rikti fought off in their own dimension.
i seem to recall a few other alien species being mentioned by name in game, but i can't recall them at the moment.
Edit: And DarkGob scooped me on the Battalion; complete with a link. -
i'm surprisingly okay with this.

Ooh, sounds promising. How many of you are running 64bit Windows?

*huh* This thread is still going.
Yet somehow the Devs haven't seen the wisdom of redefining it so nearly=entirely, which is what is required to get them to completely submit to the demands. Maybe it's time to start scouting for another windmill. Excuse me, i meant another giant. -
Quote:Right, the whole thing with the market only displaying whole numbers and not displaying anything after the decimal point would be. That is annoying.Yes, and when I examined and counted the sales receipt, all twelve items listed as 33 each adds up to 396 on 400 point bundle that claims you are getting a discount. Which is why I made the OP in the first place. The sales receipt is still giving false information, and gave me my reason to post.
Telling someone to look at the individual item prices when the bundle prices are what are being listed wrong, is not helpful. Individual item pricing should have separate pricing anyways, even if the Bundle pricing get listed accurate. Sure, 400 and 396 are both less than what the individual sales prices would add up too. But it does not change the fact the sales receipt numbers add up to something that was less than 400. I'd have made a similar topic if the sales receipt pricing added up to more than 400, because the sales receipt would still be wrong.
I wouldn't have had any reason to make this topic if the sales receipt was accurate. -
Presumably the character each portrayed in Star Trek? i'm guessing yes since it would be odd to pronounce judgment on other characters they've played in a Star Trek focused thread.

Quote:The sales receipt is giving the price each piece cost as part of a bundle. Showing you how much each cost when sold as part of the pack. Try looking at the prices in the market of the individual pieces.Yeah, I feel like I'm getting punished for looking daring to read my sales receipt here. Not to mention, if a sales receipt is giving inaccurate numbers, what am I supposed to trust?
So, not the problem I posted thinking. But still very much a problem.
Quote:I think I see what you're asking for...
You'd like to see the in Market prices, and then a display of how much of a discount you received by purchasing all of the pieces together as opposed to separately.
Perceived value.
I'll pass the suggestion along and see if it's possible.
