Can't put them in sprint neither. Oh the joy that would have brought many many one year + vets.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is incorrect. Prestige Sprints will not accept IO sets, but your regular sprint will. Incidentally, so will power slide.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    That's what I said.
  2. My signature says it all. I have 3 of every non epic hero AT on virtue. I play them all pretty well and have plans of IOing out every last one of them... But I have 6 scrappers. Everytime I play anyone of them, I say to myself "that boy is cold!" If I played with a head set, people would think I'm nuts. there's no better feeling then jumping in a mob and "knowing" you are about to drop every last one of them... then you do it. Want a challenge? Go earn all the ourobo badges on invincible solo. I'm working on that now. Its not easy at all.

quick question on the zephyr set des...can I just slot those in hurdle instead...saving me a power choice?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nope. Hurdle and Swift do not take IO sets

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah....basically follows the same rules as all the other Travel Power IOs. The stealth IOs pretty much did in Swift and Hudle for IO sets.

(And then maybe a Difficulty level 6 so that it REALLY pays off, but thats more wishful thinking)

    [/ QUOTE ]
I think they should give us another five difficulty levels with “super” tacked on the front. I want to be SUPER INVINCIBLE. Yeah, probably not going to happen.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Difficulty 6 should be called "Unstoppable." What? They already have Unyielding and Invincible, might as well top it off with Invuln's t9. :P

    [/ QUOTE ]

So villain side would be called murderous?
  5. To say who is better, its still a per situation toss up. Rttc caped could get higher % regen with mobs around you. Great for fighting a mob of freak tanks. Bad for mobs with range attackers.

Granted, WP is better IOed out due to more options because of the different power types the set have. And will get more out of the fighting pool when/if its taken. As for regen, you are better off just going for recharge (perma DP speed) and even more regen. And making sure you hp cap with DP. That in itself comes in handy for burst dmg.

But before you get to that point. Douring the time when you are still running radios to get temp travel powers. Beating on trolls in the hollows. Running around faultline finding out the truth about jimmy's father. Helping the hansen brothers in striga. Trying to get geas in croatoa and smacking Mary around 50 times to get to 35 so you get your merit on in RWZ and your roman costume in cim. Regen will still get you there.

And as far as IH go, that power is situational anyway. Most regens have their recharges up on dull pain and recon enough to keep them outta trouble with mog up log enough for a true regens HP to come back to the safe zone on its own and giving recon time to come back. No matter how many mobs are around or not around.

Here is another thought. Do what I did. Make a */WP and a */regen (The same prime of course) and actually play them threw the zones level for level picking the powers by need at the time then respecing when needed. Close mids. And close city of data and just play. Do this with and open mind like you are still gonna be wowed by the dmg you did when first tried head splitter or the first time you where the last man standing on a bad pug. Be a newb again and put the two sets to the test.

Unless, of course, if you miss, you know, with your eyes >_>

How you can miss looking at someone, I'll never figure it out.

Good point. But LBE slotted with -res proc, hold proc, dmg proc and some dmg/range/recharge that auto hits with the power of a scrapper's BU and critical chance.....
  7. Rieze

    I'm curious...

I think they couldn't think of another name that went with energy. Take a look at the names of the hero epic pools. None of them are exactly the same but they are theme matched with the same type of powers (example: pyre, fire, and flame mastery for tanks, blasters, and trollers), with a few exceptions. Energy themes being one of them (energy, power, body, force?, primal forces). And after giving it more thought, I can't think of any others for energy myself. Don't take it as fact. Its just an opinion from observations.

+heal set bonuses do not work in powers with slottable resistance. Since you can slot Healing Flames for its toxic res, it ignores the +heal set bonuses.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well aint that a... Now that you mention it. It didn't work on recon but it worked on DP. Learn something new every day. Guess ill use that freespec to put a common IO heal to replace one of the heal/* numinas. I could save a few mil and use it on another alt. One more thing. That's just res slotting right? Will the heal bonus will still work on powers like EAs energy drain? That would be good to know. Just in case...
  10. I was finishing up my build for my fire/fire scrapper with putting the numina +regen/rec IO in health giving it its 4th numina. Now the bonus for 4 numinas is that it raises healing powers. I wanted check it in game so I used healing flames before slotting and then after slotting and the heal amount was the same. Is that a bug? Does healing flames have a heal cap? Or that bonus isn't suppose to include self heals? But it can't be the later because it worked on my regens. It even worked on siphon life. And I thought I new just about everything in dealing with hit points and regen.

The green glow? Point for Willpower in my book. Yellow tends to go better with my costumes than green.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Lies! Green is prettier!

    [/ QUOTE ]

A show of hands. How many are glad that green glow from the bank mish temp power was removed. I can't remember if it was for the +regen or the +hp one.
  13. I was gonna say pick up foc acc and laser beam eyes and put the -res proc on laser beam eyes. But for team aid, assault and tactics is a way to go over the medic pool. And you have conserve power for when end becomes a problem. The recharge on it is decent with a little help from your recharge bonuses.
  14. I must be thinking about tanks. I know one of them get more out of it.

    Regen Rate

Yep. That's kinda nice. Real nice on a def set since they don't get hit much.

Electric Armor on a Scrapper (if ported as is) would be terrible. The biggest problem is the lower resistance cap compared to Brutes (75% vs 90%) for two reasons:

    1) One of the hallmarks of the set is the sets capped energy resistance. This benefit would be completely diluted at 75%, forcing the Scrapper to take 2.5 times as much damage. Instead of being able to take ~13,380 pure energy damage (not counting regen) before dying (90% res), it would only take 5,352 pure energy damage to kill a Scrapper.

    2) Power Surge would suck. For the same reason as above, a Scrapper would be taking 2.5 times as much damage as a Brute. Considering this is a power that Elec Brutes would lean on heavily (due to low mitigation outside of the set) it wouldn't be half as powerful on a Scrapper. Unlike Unstoppable, Elec Armor doesn't have DP (heal +maxhp) or defense (TH, Invin) to stack on top of it.

That's not even mentioning the fact Brutes have higher hp.

    Yuck.

    [/ QUOTE ]

and yet stalkers got it at least scrappers would have more benefit from it than them

    [/ QUOTE ]

I would hate elec armor on a scrapper. At least the ave playstyle of a non def stalker is hit placate and get outta there. And stalkers have hide. Elec armor is like FA without healing flames, as far as protection goes. Most scrappers take pride in the fact that they can stand in the middle of a mob and "know" they are about the drop every last one of them. Try that with /elec vs non nrg attackers. You'll be laying next to that blaster that wasn't paying attention. You may even drop before the blaster. People complained about /DA. /DA has simple holes to fill that can be filled early on. With /elec, its power sync, tough and weave or a quicker death. Keep in mind that tough and weave aren't as strong on a scrapper as they are on brutes. I think /EA would be a better fit for scrappers then /elec. I'd luv to see some /EA, /SR, and /SD debates in the scrapper forums.
  17. I have a related question. I noticed that I get higher regen values with the numina and the regen tissue unique slotted in intergration with 3 numina IOs then I get when they are slotted in fast healing with the exact same 3 numina IOs. I've been scratching my head at this. Its the same thing with rttc. Can anyone explain this?

    Dual Blades

I agree with them. Attck vitals and sweep combos rock. I like doing attack vitals then sweep for large mobs because of all them orange numbers are so cool to see.
  19. Or... They could add more sets for scrappers. But I'm not about to beat a dead horse. The idea of the power is good but it is a tad off from the scheme. They could have made goggles similar to the temp power but with the effect of foc acc since thats what they were going for. As far as skipping it for cosmetic/theme reasons... That would be kinda hard to do.
  20. Rieze

    Claws/WP

I can't make a judgment because I can't tell what your goal is. It looks like speed and recharge. I too am not near mids so I can't really tell. I can tell you that you need any of those status protection or those KB protection IOs with that set. And regardless of the goal, I always make it a point to put 3 numinas non unique in HPT. That helps in the Hit points. And in the other 3, I put titanium coating for more res and the hit point bonus. The res/def IO would get moved to mind over body.
  21. Drop combat jumping for manuvers. Since you are slotting combat jumping with def, you will get more out it with manuvers instead.
  22. I ran into a simular problem when I first exemp down to do posi on my BS/regen. All I had was hack and slash. No vet powers at the time. After that and before duo builds came out, I had to plan ahead by assuming I was gonna have to exemp again since I still haven't done the COT trial. The best thing you do is work parry in the build, go to the shadow shard and buy a raptor pack (I still had time on the raptor and zero g from the low level bank mish), and take the def powers open to you after you get the three attacks. If you plan on getting stamina, might as well work swift and health in before 14 and slot swift with a flight IO to help the speed of the raptor. Since this is just a 2nd build for low level TFs this set up should work for the first three TFs with just adding desired powers as they open after 14 with little concern for the later powers. That's what I came up with off the top of my head my head at work typing on a blackberry. There might be a better option but it cant be too much different at that level.
  23. EB version of GW is a push over. I got ambushed by her due to some off the wall vator aggro. (I even used the back vators) I was soul stormed off the back. Two break frees and sow couldn't break it. But I didn't die. Then she black holed me. I guess she didn't know I was WP with high regen. After black hole droped, I hit her with the crey pistol then beat the snot out her. This on unyeilding. Now if she was AV ranked, this story would involved several trips to the hospital and to ourobos to buy a inspiration tray of purples and the casting of the vanguard hvas and a shivan douring the battle because after about trip number 5, it would be time to play dirty. Back on subject, I've been on a few GW draws in stf. The way around the dark heal would be to time the recharge and to go all out the moment she uses it then back off in time to be out of range when she's ready to use it. The dps from the range attackers should be enough to keep her down in the mean time. Just a thought the next time you are the only scrapper on a stf run.

I made a build that has 51% Melee Defence My question is that will that stack when im attack by melee moves that have smashing or Lethal?

I was thinking that it would go like this 51%+33.5%= 84.5% Defence to Smashing and Lethal Melee attacks.

My question is am i right or it doesnt work like that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh how I wish this how it worked. My /fire and /regen scrappers would be uber with a real cheap build. Combat jumping would be used for more then a travel power starter and a IO bonus holder. And my /elec brute would not have gotten deleted due to getting dropped every other mob and the lack of red side funds to properly fix the problem.

RttC is retardedly awesome (just like every scrapper level 16 power). People really need to actually learn the power sets.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Shhh. Dont say that too loud. A nerf bat may be getting waved around. And to the OP, rttc is great. Respec and get it at 16 and get stamina later if you must. And getting advise from anyone who solos STF and or can do the scrapper challege while doing other things in RL at the same time is never a bad idea.
