Quote:They have always gone after people abusing the system. When AE was released, they said it wasn't for farms, and don't be surprised if farms get wackedDon't know. For the characters that have hasten or whatnot, it's always stayed with me when I've zoned into an AE mission.
*chuckle* Nothing much kills that. The devs do one thing, the farmers are three steps ahead of them. Meanwhile, AE gets hit with nerf, nerf, nerf that drives everyone else's interest away.
What they should have done, if they didn't want farming (which would make Posi's "We're not targeting anyone's playstyle" bit recently a lie,) is made sure to have a few people on staff to look at the arcs and reject "non story" arcs before they could get published.
The ambush farms were borderline hotfix exploit. -
Quote:This seems to be related to the hero skin issue as others have reported changing to the villain skin and resubbing to the RSS feeds makes them work. Not only have the old problems not been solved, it's got a new problem: the RSS feeds for Developer Digest and Community Digest are both broken.
Zwill - any indication from them if the cookie changes they are doing will make it so I don't have to explicitly mark the forum read and then manually log out for the system to remember read threads? -
It's nice verses the Cysts in that you can ignore most of the attacks from the guarding mobs if you are rushing the second mission.
Its a good set, but not great in general for the ITF I'd say (and i like Dark Armor - my tank with my name that was WP/DB, and he got exiled in favor of a D/D blaster)

Quote:Warshades are scienceI always assumed that the VEATs were tagged as Natural merely because the HEATs were Natural and the devs wanted to preserve some sort of symmetry. *shrug*
I think the concept behind VEATs being natural is two-fold -
1 - At the core, it's all down to training and training hard.
2 - the "Base" branch, and one of each of the two advanced branches are clearly Natural and currently there is no way to change an origin. -
Quote:Based on past experience, one way around the timer is to log off with the rewards window still up. Log back in after the time is up, and you should still have it and now have the ability to pick the timed-out choice.4. It is incumbent upon the player to make a note when the last time any given character ran the SSA to the hour, it seems. Example: If you ran it on Saturday 2:00 pm and tried to run it again the following Saturday at 8:00 am., no alignment merit for you. Keep track of the date and time of completion for best results!
You know that anything other than "We've received your petition" doesn't happen for tickets that result in actions involving another account, right? -

If we could get some more brighter, whiter colors for Dark, it would be nice. While there is a strong association of "Positive/White/Good" and "Negative/Dark/Evil" in some cultures white is considered the color of mourning, not black.

Quote:The original faultline, galaxy, and RCS maps should still be in game. Makes it easier to prevent wierd issues that might arise from logging into a non-existent map. They just didn't take it out. I think the Rikti Crash Site is still in the game as well as Galaxy City and the original Faultline, tho I could be wrong about that last one.
I seem to real Faultline at least had an automatic "your zoning now" script setup that hits you when you log in. -
Quote:If you are going to ask for escalation, all you need to say is "Would you have a Senior GM look at/take over my ticket?"Im not going to kiss up to someone just to get them to read and stop making assumptions and pasting copy pasta that is unrelated to my issue.
Im polite to Customer Service reps that actually do make an effort to read and help.
And then be nice to the senior GM. They haven't been the one you are dealing with, they don't deserve any anger you have at the other GM.
One thing to note - the regular GMs do not necessarily have any experience with City of Heroes. They are general staff for all the NCSoft games. The Senior GMs on the other hand seem to either be real good at retaining odd details about random games or be players of the games who's tickets they get. So they can resolve issues that other GMs don't seem to see/get. -
Yes they can be soloed.
Note if you are on a team and run another's morality mission, you cannot use it to change your alignment but it will count as having run an alignment mission if you have an open fame point. -
For most people, more than one Accuracy SO isn't useful. Many of the damage sets offer (especially the 5 and 6 IO sets) close to 99% damage when added up. Also, with enhancements there is the "ED" softcap which for any attribute is hit by three SOs (three +3 damage give more like 96% vs 108%). The setbonus are normal global buffs, and so are after the ED cap.
The wiki (under Limits, as I recall, has a good explanation of how damage is figured with enhancements and buffs) -
Or for those of us that don't use firefox, even the regular villain skin (or did that extention finally get ported to Chrome?)

Premium account : A non-VIP account that has had money spent on it in any fashion by the player. Any pre-Freedom account (barring trials and any buddy code accounts that never subscribed) would be a premium account.

You (and GG) forgot GG posting she just wants flowing hair.

Do you currently have enough Reward Merits and Inf to trade in for a V-Merit? If so, sounds like you have "Hide recipes missing ingredients" checked (it operates like a crafting table window).
With the aligment merits you can use two to buy a LotG global for exMpls, or one for five random rolls.
As you run tips, as long as there is a fame spot open below the alignment bars, doing tips will fill the bars (if rogue or villain tips in your case). Even if not yours. When one or both reach ten (Is full) a morality mission tip will drop. Running it will either change or reinforce your alignment. Either one will give you a countdown power for the alignment power.
If reinforcing you get 50 regular merits (or 30 for vigilantes and rogues) the first time and an alignment merit (or 60 regular for vigilates/rogues) each time after that. -
Quote:They work this way so it is possible to fire them off with less than full endurance. If it was the end cost zeroing out your endurance, you would be unable to fire it. Any endurance "crash" power works this way. Thanks, I knew it wasn't 45% I was just throwing it out there as an example because I was having difficulty even asking the question lol. You definitely helped me out right here...something that I didn't know/never looked into...
Interesting, *looks at mids* by joe you're right! My thanks go out to both of you! -
What new dev digest? Looks the same to me!
If you check Z's thread you will see they mention the broken dev digest is a symptom of the busted hero skin.
Now, the dev digests are basically a multi-author search sorted by dare with different post result view options. So that's why the borked hero CSS is giving us this. To go directly to the post, click the title in the quote box not the title above the poster name. -

Please note this forum is described as "Players helping Players" - I believe it has seen less than a dozen red name replies in it's existence.
The suggestion forum is a better place, and below general discussion. Also, as I recall, /bug in game has a "suggestion" option - submit this there. -
Note however only one of the temp powers is available to both sides - and only if you have inventions access.
The other two are hero only, barring anyone unwilling or unable to side switch. -
You are locked into an incarnate power just as much as you are locked into an enhancement slotting. Less, as if you later change your mind back after changing it the first time, you can go back without a hassle (lore excluded)

Quote:Don't think so. I know for a fact the SBEs are account bound and not a trade item. Not sure about the special inspirations. Is there anything that can be bought that can be traded? I'm thinking about spending the $5 just to be able to use the account for SG invites, but was curious if there was anything that could be bought and traded away so as not to sit on a basically unused account.

Quote:To be fair we don't know how it is broken & test/beta are not support prioritiesIt's been down for months apparently... it seems as though it isn't something they care about fixing.
Plus in the beta from what I've seen they are pretty freely bumping people to the levels, influence, and prestige they ask.
