Yeah, I'm getting tired of logging back in every time I come here. It's not like it's hard work, but it's irritating.

On my list of current frustrations this problem is somewhere near (but not at) the bottom.

This has been going on for several YEARS with no sign that the devs even give a damn, let alone are trying to fix it. They just ignore threads on it, which is pretty typical really.

it is getting old. and it has gotten far worse for me, it used to be few days at least, now its every time i navigate to another site, sometimes in the middle of a post. it has gone beyond annoying into beyond being worth endeuring.

Either that or whoever is in charge of maintaining the forums has finally given up completely on getting them to work well and now types in all changes using their forehead.

I just hope that this complete neglect of the forums is due to a new improved version being developed. If not, then they should fire whoever maintains it, because a dead horse could maintain a healthy life with far better success.

Being logged out has become logical for me. I don't get logged out mid-session any more, but every time I shut down Firefox, I'm logged out when I come back. If, however, I "Restore Previous Session," I am stilled logged in if I had forum pages open in the last session. However, shutting down Firefox and then loading a forum page from History sees me logged out.
What bugs me more right now is the latest forum bug which makes some icons giant, some icons not load and forum posts stretch the full horizontal size of my resolution.

Zwillinger addressed this in one of the chats sometime around the release of Freedom. IIRC from what he said it's a known bug from the company who makes the forum software. Since they haven't released a fix, Paragon doesn't have one either.
They could try to hack it and fix it, but there's no guarantee it won't break something else. They don't replace it because the man-hours involved, and the potential for lost posts. (And there are some good posts worth keeping around. Guides and such.)
So, with everything involved, they are waiting for an official fix.

Unfortunately, that's not real confidence inspiring. Yes, the hero theme is broken, and I want them to fix it, because I prefer it. But they seem to have also broken other things which that post doesn't mention. They seem to have resurrected the logout bug and fed it digital steroids. This after a period of several weeks of much improved login stability. (It was still annoying that it logged you out after each browser session no matter what you did with "remember me", but vastly preferable to random logouts as you navigated within an open browser session.)

Also I like to use New (or Today's) Posts and when I use the villain theme it won't work. The wait 30 secs timer comes up and then when I wait and click it starts over again from 30 seconds.
This might be a silly question but how does one change themes? I looked in the CP and couldn't find the option. I'm sure it was staring me in the face.

Why, indeed, did we have to ditch our old forums that actually worked? Since day 1 of the new forums, I've been unable to use "jump to last post" (it keeps showing me posts I saw days ago, and posts I made as unread), I've had the boards occasionally slow to a crawl and refuse to load, it's been logging me out since as far back as I remember, the interface is bad to the point that players have had to make skin mods...
Honestly, for all the crap people said about the old boards... They worked! These don't.
