With the way it is, if they had changed the game client, they would of changed it for EVERYONE, not just the AE package folks, as the client is identical for everyone.

In your opinion, what makes an Altaholic different from just having several characters?
[/ QUOTE ]
Altaholics go to meetings
what?
[/ QUOTE ]Meeings, yes, but the Honor Guard over on Justice just calls them "parties" - Note : You are responsible for keeping your own booze safe from tremor -

You learn a lot about the Carnies on Madeleine Casey's arc
Paragon Wiki Article on her missions, yes there are spoilers
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks. So it looks like the answer is yes, a Carnie can be reformed if the psychic link between the Carnie's soul and the head Madame can be severed. There's a magical ritual that would need to be performed; it would be more than just taking off the mask.
Yes, no, maybe so?
[/ QUOTE ]Do to a clue in that arc, you learnthat madeline casey is not a normal carnie at all.
[Spolier. : as I recall, you learn that vanessa knly has her power due to allowing herself to be reposses by her own mask during the rikti war so she could use it's power to feed off fallen heroes to strngtjen her own group of followers. She has always been one of the sad stories of the rikti war to me.] -

Level 6, either 90 days or one year (I think), and I think they tend to run it without telling us.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, they do give advance notice. They haven't run it for quite some time, though.
It's inactive (non subscribed) for 90 days, and level 6.
[/ QUOTE ]The last time they did it, anyways. -
Father Xmas reminded me :
One huge difference between CoH and CoV is the Safeguard vs. the Mayhem.
Safeguard missions, you want to rush the bank. Get there fast, and defeat the villains fast, because if they get away, you lose (they have a marked getaway vehicle on the map, once they grab the loot). You can fly all you want here.
Mayhem missions, do NOT rush the bank, as these missions have various spawn-wires (not real wires, of course, just what I call them) that spawn homing ambushes of Longbow. If you fly too high, you can trip spawn-wires that spawn flying longbow (Also known as the LEDS - Longbow Eagle Death Squads). If you rush to the bank (entering it spawns one or two ambushes itself) you can have several ambushes hit you at once inside the bank while you are fighting security. Also, stop and destroy the roses. Anything destructable can get you more time. The larger the team, the more you have to destroy for the bonus. Several items, solo, will give a time bonus after 1 is destroyed. But it always takes a lot of parking meters to get the time bonus, even solo -

However the CPU in the Asus doesn't have Intel's hardware virtualization support (VT), which is what Windows 7 uses for it's "not emulated but virtualized" Windows XP ultimate compatibility mode (because you will be running an actual copy of XP in a window).
[/ QUOTE ]
How important is that, would you say? -
[ QUOTE ]
If it works like Tornado, procs will have a chance to fire on casting and every ten seconds thereafter.
[/ QUOTE ]
Correct - any duration power (for pets, it depends on the powers they use) it's once on intitial casting and again every ten seconds thereafter. When it checks, it checks individual against all npcs in it's area of effect. -

Do you even type or go to that site anymore, or have you developed a browser add-on that searches paragonwiki for what you highlight and you choose the best matching answer, which is then inserted as a link in a new post?
[/ QUOTE ]
1. I first go to the site to make the right link. I use the search function to find the right page. I click on the section in the table of contents for the right link to the subsection of the page. Often, it's the same few pages that are linked over and over again since the same questions pop up over and over again.
2. I do read it to make sure the information in the Wiki is correct, as far as I know. If not, I'll edit it (had to do that to the question on exemplaring's effects on Set Bonuses the other day, since that section was out of date).
3. I, myself, wrote half of that section (what Castle said in closed beta), so, I was pretty familiar with its location.
4. Linking means not wasting time writing it again.
5. Linking means that questioner learns where to find such answers on their own and other related information.
6. That above link was just a cut and paste of the url I navigated to. When I create 'user-friendly' links, like this, I use this Firefox add-on to do so easily and quickly. I have my browser set up to keep the Wiki open in a sidebar tab for easy back and forth switching between tabs and pages like so.

Of course, it's another one of those "You can't hear my tonal context through the text" bits.
Although I do agree, that Firefox addon is nice (I think you are the one that linked to it when I saw it originally as well ) -
also we have

as a thumbs up.
As I recall, it's mainly Pohsyb's emote. -
On the plus side, all earned respecs stack, so you won't loose it if you don't use it.

Make it a sapper-predominant mish with a few Hercules and Zeus Titans in there just to shake things up. The Hercs might combine, and nothing disrupts a player's day like getting drilled with Missile Swarm. And make Moderator8 the end boss.
Come on, you know you want to do it.

Clearly the real masterminds are the Freaks. Those guys are geniuses! They're basically cyborgs, for cryin' out loud. If you think about it, it's not just the bosses that have covered themselves in armour and weapons, it's all of them to some degree.
And they're [censored]ing hard men.

Please note - Global IO bonuses have their own name - so while there are several sets that give a +7.5% global recharge (max of five of those) those are named differently than the Luck of the Gambler Global Recharge IO (Powers -> Combat Attributes will list names of bonuses)

You got PMS or something, HotFlash? No need to be rude or catty. Please do not presume to tell me what I think.
[/ QUOTE ]
Did HotFlash do a stealth edit or something? Because the post I'm seeing you respond to does not warrant this remark at all. -
-To Hit (which is like +Def) - it's more controller-y, has an AoE stun that doubles as an AoE rez (Dark is the ONLY powerset able to rez multiple fallen Comrades/friends/minions/peons in a single click!), Darkest Night is awesome, Tar patch is an excellent -Run and -DAMRES(ALL) power, and Twilight Grasp does nice debuffs and unlike the kinetic heal works even on a npc that is dying.
EDIT : So yes, it works fine. For more solo ability, you MIGHT want to do Fire/ or Ice/ for your blast set though. -

Vista works fine for me, then again, I am now running Windows 7.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah, Windows 7. "We've fixed a bunch of problems with Vista and added a few new features, but you're going to have to pay the full upgrade price to get those fixes!"

Yes, but it won't have the brand name (and thus stigma) of Vista that being Vista SE : Windex edition would bring. -

I've found Vista works best if you don't install it.

And I've found that, since the service packs, it works better than XP.

And pre and post SPs... works better if it was a fresh install (not an upgrade from XP install). -

The thing is that we shouldn't have to do these workarounds. They should pull whatever caused this problem. Fix it. Then republish. They should also acknowledge that there is a problem and make some sort of statement about what they are doing to correct the issue. At the very least just say "We are aware and working on a fix. Please be patient. ETA for fix is(whenever)"
Just my 2 enfamy and that ain't worth much.
