If i slot one set of IOs in one power (ex: luck of the gambler)
and the same set in another power, do the bonuses add up?

Triumph Lurker: mintmiki 50 emp/archer
basically, if you see a miki on Triumph, it's probably cute and it's probably me.

Huge thanks to cuppamanga and all the folks in the mac help forum for prolonging my borrowed time on this game.

Yes.

Keep in mind of the "rule of 5", meaning that once you get 5 bonuses that have the same name, any more with that name won't help you. An example is Ultimate Recharge Bonus (the name for the Purple +Recharge). It's a 10% bonus, and you can only stack five of those 10% bonuses before additional 10% bonuses do nothing and are ignored.

To make it simpler, 5 sets of LoTG will be all you can have of those particular set bonuses.

I suggest you grab Mid's Hero Builder to plan out IO builds. It will tell you, once you look at the Set Bonus option after slotting your powers with sets, if any of your set bonuses are being ignored due to the "rule of 5".

Main Hero : Annilixxion -- Lv50 Blaster
Main Villain : Menkaura -- Lv41 Mastermind
@Laxx
"You will bend to my will, with or without your precious sanity." --Dragon Mage

Please note - Global IO bonuses have their own name - so while there are several sets that give a +7.5% global recharge (max of five of those) those are named differently than the Luck of the Gambler Global Recharge IO (Powers -> Combat Attributes will list names of bonuses)

Do you even type or go to that site anymore, or have you developed a browser add-on that searches paragonwiki for what you highlight and you choose the best matching answer, which is then inserted as a link in a new post?

He's actually developed psychic powers that allow him to know the link instantly and post it in a reply without actually typing anything. I theorize that he doesn't even need to enter the topics anymore to find out what the person is asking.

1. I first go to the site to make the right link. I use the search function to find the right page. I click on the section in the table of contents for the right link to the subsection of the page. Often, it's the same few pages that are linked over and over again since the same questions pop up over and over again.

2. I do read it to make sure the information in the Wiki is correct, as far as I know. If not, I'll edit it (had to do that to the question on exemplaring's effects on Set Bonuses the other day, since that section was out of date).

3. I, myself, wrote half of that section (what Castle said in closed beta), so, I was pretty familiar with its location.

4. Linking means not wasting time writing it again.

5. Linking means that questioner learns where to find such answers on their own and other related information.

6. That above link was just a cut and paste of the url I navigated to. When I create 'user-friendly' links, like this, I use this Firefox add-on to do so easily and quickly. I have my browser set up to keep the Wiki open in a sidebar tab for easy back and forth switching between tabs and pages like so.

And Z_M gets 0 out of 5 fun points!

Of course, it's another one of those "You can't hear my tonal context through the text" bits.

Although I do agree, that Firefox addon is nice (I think you are the one that linked to it when I saw it originally as well )

But you know this will come up again. So this entire explanation should have been posted elsewhere and linked.

Good God, man! You can't link a thread to itself!! This could cause a rift in the space-time continuum!
