Quote:Basically, think of any mez protection as a negative value - so something that gives you ten mag protection, as a player, sets your mez value for that mez to -10.Ok, I apparently completely misunderstood how mez protection works. Thanks for the clarification.
Mezzes add to that, and once you hit more 1 or higher, you're mezzed. -
Quote:And some non-plaid kilt options that are not torn to shreds would be nice.A Scotland booster pack, the Bagpipe playing walk toggle, the kilt lift click power (causes Fear in a cone effect), Scottish flag cape and a better selection of traditional highland dress.
Of course it'd be unbalanced because any character that's scottish somehow instantly becomes tougher than any other character plus the mission giving contacts would only have one line of dialogue...
"I'm sorry, I can't understand a word you're saying could you repeat that?"
...thus would have a hard time getting missions since Americans apparently have a hard time understanding a thick scottish accent, even the Brits like meself have trouble with a particularly thick scot accent. -
When I think of "Multi-box" concepts, I think of Smurphy and his Nemesis Clone army.
It was at least 6 Thug/Storm MMs, the MMs made to look like the T1 thugs, and everything named "Nemesis Clone" (the MMs using the I/L tricks).
It was interesting being teamed with 6 Thug/Storms. -
Quote:Actually it's a second copy.Okay, so every time it activates, it must check to see if there's already a copy of it active, and if so just add the number of targets to the total, rather than casting a whole second use of the power. Interesting.
There are three flags that can be set as to stacking.
First is Stacks with Everything - this includes same caster and is how most powers work.
Second is Stacks EXCEPT with same caster - Force Field, Sonic bubbles, Ice and Thermal armors are this way.
Third is doesn't stack period. Not used much.
Buffing toggle auras like Against All Odds which have a frontloading work as follows :
Each "tick" they cast TWO buffs on the caster. One stacks (the minor, per target portion based of nearby enemies) and one doesn't (still based off per target, thus "as long as there is one in range" but it doesn't stack so it's your "base of X +Y per nearby enemy as long as there are enemies within range" - basically methods one and two together.
And to cover issues like lag/timing issues, each "buff" is slightly longer than the tick so you get the brief overlap. -
Quote:First is WAD - Working as designed. As mentioned, they would like to make it work like you apparently do, but would require some heavy coding issues.I logged three bugs months ago (via the online reporting system) that have not been address. One is the crab pack appearing on every slot of a dual build toon, the other is that applying the predefined insect armour to a crab spider results in the entire costume changing to plain when accepted. The third is that only the first costume slot can have the widow or spider pieces (as appropraite).
Over the years (4) I have logged a number of bug reports for different bits of the game and none of them have ever been fixed.
Second one - to clarify - you go to using the insectoid pattern/texture under the regular "Tights" option on a regular costume slot (non-Arachnos-specific) and it ends up defualting to Tights/Smooth when you are done?
Third one - WAD/WAI - Working as intended. -
By walking. Note, this would make one a crimefighter suited to particular criminals only.

Actually, she either moved or copied the thread, not just the text. Post date says Friday as well

Quote:Part of the issue is the fact that setting would keep resetting. Probably related to thinks like the "Won't keep this thread marked read" issue. You don't like it, disable it and click on the "minus" sign next to the rep comments in your User CP : you'll never see comments again.
ThisQuote:I wish there was at least an easy way to see which posts were rated without having to hunt for individual posts (which I think someone said is how it's done now but I still haven't figured it out). My rep has gone up and I kind of wish I knew which posts I made helped get the praise. I'm not so worried about the comments, just knowing the posts.
And at this point get the sued, as I don't see the lawyers approving a "You will be publicly mocked for forum transgressions" exception to the "All punishments kept private" line of the TOS.
Hey, me too! -Forbin -
Quote:Known bug.I have an SS shield brute..and was using the new ss animations after they came out. However, I used the toon today, and they are back to the old ones. I checked my costume, and its still set to the new ones. Yet if i have any shield powers on, it plays the old animations. Is this another cool bug, or have they removed the ability to have the new animations with shields full stop?

Several Psi attacks do not have a positional (Melee/Ranged/AOE) attack type, so for them, the positional defense doesn't work. Also if you just have high Melee and AoE defense you will be open to AoE typed attacks.

The term used is "Psuedo-pets"

Quote:Correct. So having one reward table full does not increase/decrease the potential of another reward table because the other table still drops based on another formula. So for instance having everything full but salvage doesnt increase salvage.. the chance is still the same.. you just cant get anything else BUT salvage because all else is full. Correct? If so then I understand the aspect about drops I wanted to understand.

Thanks for your time,
Bizz

Except from what I heard, Walk's power suppression is via the Disable_All flag, and there is no "Click" flag for it to target. So, without going and flagging all the relevant powers in the game, there is no way to achieve the necessary suppression without including toggles.

And that's why the controller epics were changed a while back - they were using Blaster numbers on the AoEs, IIRC, and yet were containment-enabled (containment merely being a line in every appropriate attack power saying "If target is held/slept/stunned/immoblized do X.XX of Damage")
-
I want to say that Pool E drops (costume [& temp powers, possibly]) are a separate drop again, so minions could drop an extra recipe.
