How do you get a helper..?I looked it up on wiki but all i got was mastermind but thats an evil power..Im seeing these pets on the good side!

What pet do you want? Some are AT-dependent, and some can be earned in game. Others are different kinds of rewards. We'll need a bit more to go on, unless you want a page or two of explanation.

Certain powersets get pets. Fire control gets imps. Gravity control gets singularity, ice control gets jack frost, earth control gets a little earth guy, assault rifle gets the gun drone. There are also cosmetic pets and buff pets.

Oh ok thanks! That helps. But there are also was to get helpers through missions..?

Pets generally only come with certain powersets.

The obvious sets are all the Mastermind sets who get the most pets (6 in total from their primary sets) and have ultimate control over them.

The other main sets that provide sets are the Controller/Dominator primary sets (except Mind Control) and you get them at lvl 32. But you dont get any control over these. These are:
Gravity - Singularity
Earth - Animate Stone
Ice - Jack Frost
Plant - Fly Trap
Illusion - Phantom Army, Spectral Terror, Phantasm
Fire - Fire Imps

However there are also some other sets that provide pet/pet like powers which include:
Storm - Lightening Cloud, Tornado
Devices - Gun Drone
Traps - Acid Mortar, Seeker Drones, Forcefield Generator, Poison Gas Trap
Dark Miasma - Dark Servant
Electrical Blast/Electrical Assault - Voltaic Sentinal

I think that covers most of them. There are other powers such as Rain of Arrows and Burn which are spawned like pets as well.

EDIT - You can also get some limited use temporary power pets (e.g. Gears from Faultline arc, Warwolves from Striga arc, Amy from Croatoa TF)

If your mouse has greater processing power than your gfx card, the answer is yes.

Some Temporary Powers can be obtained by completing missions. And some temporary powers will summon pets.

And of course certain missions have allys in there, who join you and 'help'

Fusionette and Lady Jane being notorious for the amount of 'help' they provide.

My guess is Imps, Gun Drones.

Anyway, for a full listing of pets blueside:

Blaster:
Electric Blast (primary) - Voltaic Sentinel - level 26
Devices (secondary) - Gun Drone - level 38

Controller:
Earth Control (primary) - Animate Stone - level 32
Fire Control (primary) - Fire Imps - level 32
Gravity Control (primary) - Singularity - level 32
Ice Control (primary) - Jack Frost - level 32
Illusion Control (primary) - Phantom Army - level 18
Illusion Control (primary) - Spectral Terror - level 26
Illusion Control (primary) - Phantasm - level 32
Plant Control (primary) - Carrion Creepers - level 26
Plant Control (primary) - Fly Trap - level 32
Storm Summoning (secondary) - Tornado - level 35
Storm Summoning (secondary) - Lightning Storm - level 38

Defender:
Dark Miasma (primary) - Dark Servant - level 32
Storm Summoning (primary) - Tornado - level 26
Storm Summoning (primary) - Lightning Storm - level 32
Traps (primary) - Acid Mortar - level 6
Traps (primary) - Force Field Generator - level 8
Traps (primary) - Seeker Drones - level 18
Electric Blast (secondary) - Voltaic Sentinel - level 35

Some pets I'm not sure on classifying/listing. I suppose technically Triage Beacon and Oil Slick might count but they don't really move or do anything. Also note that there are various pets available through vet rewards and mission arcs (as temporary rewards) that would take a while to list.

This!

These 2 are the worst pets to have! *le sigh*

True, but when someone unfamiliar with how ATs work or Controllers, Defenders, and Masterminds asks for a "helper," I was prepared to go into Vanguard Mechs, Shivan Shards, etc.

One of the strongest temp power pets is the Shivan. You get a temp power good for 5 uses. It's acquired outdoors in the Bloody Bay PVP zone, not in a normal mission. They're great when you're facing a tough Arch Villain (AV) that's giving your team a hard time.

Freedom: Blazing Larb, Fiery Fulcrum, Sardan Reborn, Arctic-Frenzy, Wasabi Sam, Mr Smashtastic.

I also rent myself out for a small portion of the XP and loot. I could be your helper.

One of the best pets in the game is the Shivan. It's a temp power, but you can keep getting it over and over by doing the Shivan Strike mission in the Bloody Bay PVP zone. Details on ParagonWiki. If you want pets, but you don't want to roll a new character, grab some Shivans.

Or, if you are feeling very very very patient, wait for Going Rogue. You should be able to get a heroic Mastermind, eventually.

Technically I think Triage Beason and Oil Slick are classified as pets, but they are more limited. Controllers with Plant Control (primary) also have access to a Spirit Tree with +regen aura. It falls under that gray area of limited, stationary pets.

The term used is "Psuedo-pets"

As far as that definition goes, there's a TON of extra stuff that's tecnically a pet. Like Caltrops for instance. Though in the context of "helper" it's harder to distinguish. Is Triage Beacon more of a power... or a helper? In my definition I pretty much included pets that actually move and/or make decisions like which enemies to attack. A pet that's stationary and just pulses an effect isn't really a helper, I don't guess.

No. The term 'pseudo pet' is used when, in order to achieve specific effects, a power spawns a 'pseudo pet', which can neither be seen nor targeted, which then fires off the powers. This has led to some problems in the past since, from your point of view, you're firing the power but, from the game's point of view, your pet is firing the power.
