Here is hoping.
Any word on if the Paragon Store will ever be available through the web, such as directly from my NCSoft master account? It might make it easier to integrate a way to see what you already own, what is auto-available if you are vip/premium, and what you still are eligible to purchase.
Also, I wish you would post previews of all the costume pieces and their names when you release a bundle pack. If I buy the bundle, then log into the game to try to find the pieces, it can get a little difficult deciphering if the item in the promo photo is an actual new item or just a creative color scheme on a pre-existing item.
Thanks for the great game and keep up the great work.
PS- The only thing I will miss about Statesman's death is the STF and LRTF, and maybe the Praetorian Maria Jenkins arc when you get to wail on Tyrant. -
Blarg. Somehow the Dev's always pick my scheduled weekend to work. -.- Please extend the event! Just one more week!

Quote:On Virtue Server, @TheSkippyLabs has an amazing base called "The Stroll", and she has an excellent cabin you could use as a model. If you get the chance to look her up, please do. I could spend days in that base and never fully appreciate the love she has devoted to it.Most of the "outdoor" settings I've seen have been in a "park" or "woods"... but I do recall a clever little "cabin".
I could see making facades with desks/counters, using ramps as "awnings" and tiles for sidewalks. There are plenty of lamp options that could be used for streetlights. Windows and doors might be a little tricky, but I'm sure there are more ideas out there.

Bases are obsolete to those who refuse their value. I love my base, I use my base, but I understand I am the minority.
Bases are for community. To talk with groups of people you enjoy playing with. I understand there are many lone wolf types out there, and PL'rs, and Spammers, and Scammers, and people with the maturity of a cabbage, who would all rather not chat with others, or worse, have no clue when to shut up. But for the people I want to chat with, my base is a chat channel in which I can hold the people nearest and dearest to my heart, but with a few "creature comforts". I will be the first to admit that the fact that I do take on my character and its personality as a RP experience helps me value having a "home" to go to and socialize, outside of Pocket D, a extremely worthwhile endeavor.
I saw a interesting YouTube series about a guy who re-creates IRL houses into the SIMS 3 house editor program. Even better, the templates can be saved and shared for others to use. Not only can you create a original work, but you can also create templates that are generic enough for the most basic uses without much effort. Where I am going with this is simple. If we could find a way to blow up the editor we have now, and reforge, I think other "non-crafty" folks who devalue the bases so easily wouldn't feel the pressure to learn to build, and would still be able to enjoy the finer points of bases that they so hastily disparage.
In the meantime, I will appreciate my "obsolete" base with respect and hope that someday bases will get a little love, even if it is just some new items to carefully stack and imagine with. Heck, I would just settle for someone who keeps pushing the label obsolete to just bite me, and let me enjoy my base in peace. -
Quote:Since there has been some recent talk about starting over with a new base editor and base system I thought this was a good time to re-introduce the idea of personal bases. I know we can have a personal base with the current system, with most of what I’m about to suggest, but maybe a new system can be introduced starting with personal bases and worked into a SG system if it is popular enough.Quote:If the Devs don't have time / don't care to even touch up current bases / add anything new to current bases then they surely won't have the amount of time to do something like this, no matter how nice it might be.
In the case of bases, I'll believe it when I see it. Welcome to the minority. -
Quote:Check out the Paragon Wiki on Bases.Try a Secure Plot (selected by clicking on the "Secure" tab, beside the "Hidden" tab, IIRC)
There isn't a way to expand an existing room, unfortunately. If you want to keep your particular decoration pattern, you either need to leave it in the smaller room, or else rebuild it by buying/moving everything all over again to a new location.
You can sell a room and buy a new one - but that will leave you with an empty room. Even the texture and lighting schemes will need to be redone.
You can also sell your existing energy thingy and build a new one in the new room, or drag the existing energy thingy to the new room.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Base_Plots
It breaks down all the differences between Hidden bases and Secure bases. Luckily, I don't believe there are any price differences between hidden and secure plots of the same size. It is just a matter of dropping the new "secure" plot over the exisiting plot. -
Quote:Also good information for future reference, Your contacts are always on your Map as a Purple Person in a Bubble. Trainers are a Green Person in a Bubble. You can highlight individual trainers on your Contacts tab. Once you out-level a contact, it becomes inactive. It seems you started in Galaxy City. So, your initial contact should be in the Freedom HQ behind Back Alley Brawler.
At level 8, you've outleveled that initial contact, but they should still refer you up the line to a contact who will give you missions.
Alternatively, since you're level 8, go to Kings Row. Open your contact list and find the Kings Row Detective. Click on him and follow the waypoint to him. Talking to him will add a new Contact to your Contact Window, the Police Scanner.
Click on the Scanner in the Contact window to pick up a Scanner Mission. Do three Scanner Missions and then you'll be referred back to the Detective who will give you a Safeguard Mission (stop the bank robbery). If you succeed in stopping the robbery, you'll get a Fly Pack. Whether you fail or succeed the Safeguard, the Detective will introduce you to a new contact for missions.
If you run out of contacts and can't remember who to see for a more-level appropriate contact, you can always contact a police Investigator (there is at least one in each major neighborhood), who will give you a radio. You keep the radio forever on that character as a contact. Do three radio missions to unlock a Bank mission (Safeguard for Heroes/Robbery for Villains). The local investigator will then introduce you to a new contact in your level range and you can start a new story arc.
Once you get to level 25, you can visit Ouroboros and re-visit any old missions you may have missed, but often it is just more fun to start a new character with a new origin and try a completely different story path.
Good Luck! -
Gosh, look like everyone else got you covered so...... WELCOME! Glad to have you join us. ^_^

Quote:I have been hoping they would convert Peregrine Island (For Portal Corp, Shadow Shard, & Praetoria) into a co-op and just get rid of "Monster Island" in the Rogues Isles. Villians would take the "M I" transport to PI and The blueside PI ferries would stay the same. Heroes could get a new 40+ leveling zone (something Nemesis or Carnie related?) and PI would become the new Incarnate Area. One thing I've noticed is how the RWZ is becoming less of a "War Zone" and more of a "generic co-op zone", simply because it's the only co-op zone in the game besides Cimerora and Pocket D. Heck, there's an Architect Entertainment there (not to beet a dead horse, just sayin').
IMPO devs, it's time to create a new co-op zone or re-purpose another existing zone into a co-op zone. -
Dear CoH,
Have I told you lately that I love you? Praetoria is so pretty and shiney, and my badge hunters being able to collect villain badges is genius!
I would like to suggest a few *hopefully tiny* base additions that should be both practical and fun for almost everyone.
I think bases should be neutral co-op zones, or in other words, it is at the discretion of the Superleader and his or her support staff to select player alignments that best reflect the goals of their SG/VG. For instance, I play with a group of folks who are heroes undercover in the guise of villians. Now that my player is a vigilante, I would dearly love to bring my hero to hang out in the villain base to play along with the storyline. I realize that if base raids ever return it might be an additional challenge,... but if you set up the SG/VG roster similar to a team, then it could just be two teams Vs. one another, like an arena match?... Obviously, I have no idea how much work would be involved to make that work, but I would love it.
I also would like you to provide some new artwork in the wall details. A number of the mission maps have artwork that is the identical size and shape of current base art, but in different colors, or with a different picture inside the frames. I noticed shiny pretty art in a lot of the new Praetoria maps, too. Having more colors to chose from for items in general would be great. I am hoping that because you already have the new artwork in mission maps, that you can just copy the skins onto frames of existing items.
I have a much longer list too, but I know I am pushing my chances as it is. Pretty please think it over! -
The Winter Hoard are an endangered species, and their native habitat at the top of the world is rapidly shrinking.

Not many people know of Lord Nemesis' long love affair with pure bred horses. In his free time, the Prussian Prince of Automatons fabricates a rare breed of steed that won't buckle under his immense weight. These rare Peruvian Tirailleurs have been banned from the Kentucky Derby... for obvious reasons.

Dual Pistols powerset for Blasters, Corruptors and as a secondary for Defenders.
Four types of bullets that change 30% of the damage dealt and the secondary effect:
1. Regular (100% Lethal dmg)
2. Incendiary (70% Lethal dmg/30% Fire dmg + DoT)
3. Cryo (70% Lethal dmg/30% Cold dmg + Speed debuff)

Quote:Hey Sultry,YAY!!! Honestly, if I hadn't been to that spot in the last week (I've been compiling a "Neat Places You Haven't Been" list) there would have been no way I would have gotten that. :P
I tried searching the forums. Can you post the link for the "Neat places you haven't been" list? Thanks! =D

IDK if anyone noticed/said anything about this, but Praetor was an ancient Roman title for he commander of an army or an elected magistrate assigned duties (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Praetor ... *it is a wiki, so accuracy is not guaranteed*)
We already have the Cimerora Peninsula, ala Rome. I had read somewhere that Imperious was the ancient "version" of Statesman.
So since will be so much cross-branding that will be going on once GR hits, Will there be an entrance to Cimerora through Praetoria, and if so, will it be the same or different than the Cimerora we know currently? -
Quote:This may need a correction. I thought key binds and macros code was:Pet Command Mastery 101
Just like any command, you can bind it to a key or make a macro in your power tray. I perfer /macro myself because it will be more beneficial later on in the tutorial.
A keybind will look like this
/bind "key" petsay -----
A macro will look like this
/macro "Macro name" petsay -----
/bind KEY "petsay -----"
and
/macro MACRONAME "petsay ----"
It is a great guide. Just cross-checking is all. -
Quote:It sounds like your account was never credited with purchasing the AE Edition, just the (Retail) Mac Pack. Double check your bank or financial records (Paypal, Credit card, whatever you used) that the purchase was completed. If you can't find a record in your payment record it is possible that you just never finished the purchase process. The only code it says i've applied is listed as "retail", from when i paid for my first month with a gamecard
I never received an actual serial number for the booster i selected when signing up- is that how it's supposed to work, or under normal circumstances does it give you one after you select it
anyway, i'll try a petition and hope that works
In most cases, when you buy from the site, at the end of the process it gives you the option to apply the code to your account. You just hit a button and it auto-magically links the serial code to your account without you having to retype it. -

I <3 Virtue. Lots of people plus good RP options.
Champion is a lot of fun too, but not very populated. -
Quote:Get Stealth or Invisibilty and a Fire Aura Costume Option or a fire defense from the Epic Powersets. It will render you essentially invisible, covered in fire. This is a game of SUPER HEROES!!! Not a ninja game. Before the last booster pack we have ninja costumes, samari (misspelled i know), Karate outfits, fighter costumeset, Kungfu Master Costumeset, Stealth, , and with all that we have powersets of Martial Arts, Dual Blades, Katana, Broadsword.... On top of that, we have military costumes with military guns (guns are not powers), and archery (which ninjas also use).
Can we please get more powers and costumes more related to Super Heroes? Maybe the ability to change my fire/kin into living fire form.
We went though the same thing with the Magic Booster. I got sick of seeing all the Witch costume pieces that I quit using them for a while but now everyone is starting to mix and match them into other costumes and I am starting to use them again, too.
Look at this as the learning time when all of us are finding the bugs. Soon, we will move on to other themes and it will be just another piece of clothing to chose from. Although, i suspect Ninja Run will be a permanent fixture for many of us.*whooshes out*

Quote:Technically I think Triage Beason and Oil Slick are classified as pets, but they are more limited. Controllers with Plant Control (primary) also have access to a Spirit Tree with +regen aura. It falls under that gray area of limited, stationary pets.Anyway, for a full listing of pets blueside:
Blaster:
Electric Blast (primary) - Voltaic Sentinel - level 26
Devices (secondary) - Gun Drone - level 38
Controller:
Earth Control (primary) - Animate Stone - level 32
Fire Control (primary) - Fire Imps - level 32
Gravity Control (primary) - Singularity - level 32
Ice Control (primary) - Jack Frost - level 32
Illusion Control (primary) - Phantom Army - level 18
Illusion Control (primary) - Spectral Terror - level 26
Illusion Control (primary) - Phantasm - level 32
Plant Control (primary) - Carrion Creepers - level 26
Plant Control (primary) - Fly Trap - level 32
Storm Summoning (secondary) - Tornado - level 35
Storm Summoning (secondary) - Lightning Storm - level 38
Defender:
Dark Miasma (primary) - Dark Servant - level 32
Storm Summoning (primary) - Tornado - level 26
Storm Summoning (primary) - Lightning Storm - level 32
Traps (primary) - Acid Mortar - level 6
Traps (primary) - Force Field Generator - level 8
Traps (primary) - Seeker Drones - level 18
Electric Blast (secondary) - Voltaic Sentinel - level 35
Some pets I'm not sure on classifying/listing. I suppose technically Triage Beacon and Oil Slick might count but they don't really move or do anything. Also note that there are various pets available through vet rewards and mission arcs (as temporary rewards) that would take a while to list. -

Quote:"Did have to wonder why the graphics occasionally went all grey (not unlike being in Dark Astoria, actually), even with my graphics settings maxed out as usual."Good fun on the Winter Event, and it's not the same map we're used to for the whole "Rescue Baby New Year" thing. This is Croatoa frozen over right behind the tram, over on the big hill.
Smacking around Frostlings, Blights, and Snow Beasts in the Winter Realm gives you Candy Canes as well, it seems.
Did have to wonder why the graphics occasionally went all grey (not unlike being in Dark Astoria, actually), even with my graphics settings maxed out as usual.
Other amusing notes - new emote that can be purchased for candy canes at the Ski Chalet - /em snowflakes - you toss snowflakes in the air to a soft jingling bells sound. Pretty.
New badge - Festive (for logging in during the event). As usual, you can buy the earlier holiday event badges for candy canes in the Ski Chalet.
New amusement - you can now WALK down the ski slope (at roughly 4x normal speed), and it seems there's now a full bar at the bottom of the ski slope, plus Port O Potties!

aka
Samuraiko/Dark_Respite
I also have experienced my graphics going all gray, but it was during flashback missions. It happens when I first step on the map, and then again as soon as the mission requirements have been met. I figured it was a new feature they were trying out? -
Quote:I <3 debt. It tells me when I still have room for improvement. Team wipes are fun if you are on a joyful team. Nothing brings people together [or on top of each other ;-) ] better than getting knocked unconscious and laying spread-eagled on the ground.I get lag even when I'm just moving around in a zone.
The game crashes at odd times, sometimes requiring me to restart my computer.
Trick-or-Treat monsters are tougher, resulting in frequent party wipeouts and massive debt.
And then the developers say they've extended the event to November 8.
The event has made the game almost unplayable, and I am not enjoying the event. See you on November 9.
