No base size allows 2 energy?

I have my own base with a small energy room which I've heavily decorated. I need more energy and the biggest generator won't fit. So I need a bigger energy room.

I upgraded my plot and made such a room, but now I have this extra energy room with no energy in it. I don't want to delete it because I've put a ton of effort into it for decorations.

Am I stuck with an orphaned room (for what it's "supposed" to be used for)? Is there a way to increase a room's size (upgrade it, I guess) while leaving all the placed stuff there?

Someone had said that one of the larger plots started allowing 2 energies (actual devices, not 2 rooms, which you can do if you want) but I see no such thing in the description list of even the Massive Hidden Complex.

Also, the Secret Location outline in the selection bar in the Upgrade Plot utility is rectangular, but in reality it's a square.

Try a Secure Plot (selected by clicking on the "Secure" tab, beside the "Hidden" tab, IIRC)

There isn't a way to expand an existing room, unfortunately. If you want to keep your particular decoration pattern, you either need to leave it in the smaller room, or else rebuild it by buying/moving everything all over again to a new location.

You can sell a room and buy a new one - but that will leave you with an empty room. Even the texture and lighting schemes will need to be redone.

You can also sell your existing energy thingy and build a new one in the new room, or drag the existing energy thingy to the new room.

Check out the Paragon Wiki on Bases.

It breaks down all the differences between Hidden bases and Secure bases. Luckily, I don't believe there are any price differences between hidden and secure plots of the same size. It is just a matter of dropping the new "secure" plot over the exisiting plot.
