If there's any tank in CoV, it's a Mastermind, with not only expendable pets but Bodyguard Mode.
You're a slightly tougher, slower to get going Scrapper, pretty much. -
Oh, and you might notice that Defiance is completely different now, and much better.
-
Originally Bloody Bay was gonna be the free for all (radiation solves everything) but it was changed for one reason or another.
-
It's not like mines are capable of chasing you. Mimes on the other hand...

Rikti UXBs will toss ya around too.
There are also some instances of repel standing in for knockback. But they are quite rare.
[/ QUOTE ]
Toss you around? More like send you flying into the sky Team Rocket style.
It's kinda fun actually. -
I think having relatively well-balanced powersets to the point where you can't really name a bad one also helps.
The Brute forums are an indication of how thin that line is. -
Heroic Bots.
And as said above, on either side of the game it's not hard to imagine that pets have the same access to Hospital Teleporters as we do. -
I think it's implied that the whole thing is a gambit by Lord Recluse and the traitors aren't really traitors.

Yup, you better get up to level 20. I haven't heard of any other way to get a costume.
Five times in a row.
In one thread.
Nope, not at all.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why, there is, in fact, a way to get another costume slot even from level one, let me explain...
Be a Soldier of Arachnos or a Widow Villain Epic ArcheType.
Hah!
[/ QUOTE ] Isn't it granted after a lvl 5-10 arc or something?
Edit:
It's from a lvl 10+ arc.
How do you get it early at lvl 1?
[/ QUOTE ]
There's a way but it involves using a plastic spork to sacrifice a five-legged goat that's been covered in pumpkin pie filling during a blue moon while chanting the secret incantations hidden by Led Zeppelin in Stairway to Heaven, which can only be heard while playing the song backwards.
Needless to say, it's not very common to see someone accomplish this.
[/ QUOTE ]
But when accomplished, the results are delicious. -
There's enough things broken in this game that a simple bugfix can change the entire battlefield. See Malta Titans.
-
You could pretty much have four dual-boxers and still lay waste.
-
That would be fun.
...I wonder what they're going to do about Accolades? -
It's a real pain for Australasian players, since the downtime generally happens in the evening for us.
I suppose there probably isn't any other time they could schedule it and not tick more people off. -
Hey, and they just increased the spawn rate of bosses too...
-
Techically, AE missions only drop tickets, but purples cannot be bought with tickets. And the devs have been adamant that purples will never be obtainable through any way but random drops.
-
No, the real way to unlock purples involves a specific team of Scrappers, never going near the AE at all, and anointing your keyboard with various exotic oils.
-
It's intentional, they've probably done it as an anti-farming measure, and to make missions more interesting. If you can take on one boss at the end, why not more along the way?
-
I don't think they've ever changed dialogue in the game unless it's a major plot hole, though.
-
To be honest, I'm not big on the story of most Task Forces. I don't think most people are.
The reason I love them anyway? They have unique maps, amazing bosses, basically the kind of stuff you don't see anywhere else. The Eden Trial is an epic journey to what feels like the centre of the earth. The ITF has you basically fighting entire armies, and one of the most challenging and unique boss battles in the game. Statesman and Lord Recluse have you beating down the A-listers of the game world. In a good TF, you should have an idea of the story just from the missions.
And sometimes, playing the TF is a story in itself. -
The recharge inherent sounds like a decent idea. You'll be more likely to need your Tier 9s and stuff when on a large team after all.
-
On the other hand, guess who gets first pick when the Giant Monsters come to town?

I am curious as to weather we will see a level increase with this expansion. Take us to level 60.
[/ QUOTE ]Dev confirmed: Never happening. -
I'm used to spellchecking stuff I say (luckily I'm a lightning quick typist) so I don't have that much trouble with the bug. That and I solo a lot.

Footsteps are cool. Sand and loose soil now actually sound like sand and loose soil (and a little like snow) and the sound of footsteps on metal is no longer borrowed from Ufo: Enemy Unknown.
[/ QUOTE ]
I KNEW IT! I knew those footsteps sounded familiar!
Now I really wish I hadn't deleted my old AR/Trap Blaster: Elerium-115 Suit
I even have the full X-Com series on Steam. ^_^

A lot of the sounds in City of Heroes can be traced back to older games. Here's an interesting factoid: Proton Volley sounds like a Plasma Cannon in Auto Fire
[/ QUOTE ]
No wonder I love that power so much. -
Just get some random stranger to help you out, trust me they're not too hard to find. Invite them to your SG, then log into each of the alts you want in the group, and they quit once you're done (hopefully).
If you're that untrusting, there's plenty of us in-game that will help you out.
