Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see Hera diss us in the global.
The reason I bugged out is because, crap, how much can I die and pretend it's still fun. How many times did I go to AE and buy fifteen Luck [actually, that was only twice.]
Though I was the first to see the Shadow versions of us and I think I triggered that dialog to get them to show.
I desperately wanted to get my katana/wp. I'd just go in and then tell you guys when it was clear.
I wanna see your build, Sgt. You'z got some trick. -
Both are good, as others have said. When you trigger it is more a factor.
-
That AT has Def not Res. There are no Psi def bonuses in that. And Miracle you can only do once because of the unique.
Anything you'll get will be through the pools. You only get 5% from the Dervish in Whirling and a full Miracle. -
Agree with others IOs are good stuff.
Example:
I locked a toon [foolishly thinking that I could make cash off the very low supply recipe drops] and IOed her out at 25. Nothing higher than 28 and on missions she was a god compared to the SOed, or perhaps DOed toons.
Global Recharge? Yeah, you can feel it. Enhancing Damage AND Accuracy AND Rech into the 90s or 80s? FTW, man, FTW. You can't do that with SOs til the 40s.
Frankenslotting is cheaper than SOs and better for numbers. Sets give bonuses, great ones at times. A toon without IOs is crippled, but can still get to 50 if they are on good teams. -
WP does not need Phys Pefection. Heck, it doesn't need Stamina if you get QR. If you take Stamina, QR, and PPerf...where did your mother and I go wrong?

I generally pick one up at level 2 there. My concern is my pack is far from fresh. And since I can't carry more than one...I'd need a way to get back to the vender in FBZ without flying. Self Destruct to PI would get me that.
Irritating at most if it happens, probably not worth worrying about either. -
Grr. It isn't lag if you can fix it by reducing your graphics. That's your computer not being able to keep up. Put your graphics back the way they were.
-
I'll check the time left on my Raptor. Might have some inconvenience if it dies. If I die and hosp, will it take me back to FBZ if I'm in the shard. Otherwise, not sure how I'd get another Raptor.

My katana/wp, Trixi Chalk, lv 43.
Merits aside, those with blades need to know it unlocks the Rularuu swords. It's the only katana I lack.
How long does it take generally?
Edited to add:
Looked up the TF and here's a possibly spoilery outline. With you bringing the ill/ I'm guessing we might ghost a few of these [or whatever term CoH people use for ghosting, as I've run into several who don't know what I'm talking about.] Oh, and my katana/wp has no invis.
- Defeat 50 Soldiers of Rularuu in Foxtrot
- Resque Seven Explorers
- Defeat 50 Soldiers at Point Bravo
- Defeat 50 at Point X-Ray
- Rescue nine Explorers
- Defeat 25 Rularuu and 25 Crey in FBZ
- Rescue 5 Explorers
- Defeat 50 Crey in FBZ

I'll be there.
[Crap, did I take Stamina at 20 or 22?] -
True, Fear = no run. It's the only lockdown that ill/ has.

My energy^2 is a zero-to-30-foot blaster. Zipping around. Following what I kbed and killing it.
My fire/ice, which I highly reccomend just for power and fun in general, is a distanced blaster. I used to keep ice sword around for close encounters, but I got Sands of Mu and threw the sword on the shelf. My standard approach, teamed, is Shiver, Build Up, Aim, Rain of Fire, Fireball and usually they're dead. If not alternate ST with FBall and Fbreath [with I don't like conceptually, but it's just too good a power to pass up on a non-concept character.]
Yeah, you can do melee, but don't be begging, "rez pls" or "I need a yellow or a blue." That kinda bugs me. Get Etherial Shift or load up on purples or run or something. I hate it when blasters die constantly. I don't. Why should they? -

Quote:Hmm, I might look into that as I'd like the reflections to be a little greater.I had a lot of success by dropping "Max Particles" down to about 1/3 of the maximum, down to 17797 instead of 50000. I think if your max particles is low enough it is impossible for anything to bog you down because any additional detail just doesn't get rendered.
I could totally be wrong, though. It's just my personal experience.
Make a toon with Metallic body. It doesn't fit any concept I'd want, but wow. Swank. -
Quote:I'm making alts. It's incredibly handy that we have the email thing now. But, yeah, I've got medium level toons running to the Science Store, etc, to pick up an SO.you guys are taking this suprisingly well. i would have guessed people would be demanding the devs pay them for lost "income" or something, when actually you are planning on how you will make even more money off of it, bravo. i guess the regulars here are already so filthy rich it doesnt even matter.
Any my current, or current as of last week, toon is walking around with two full sets and no salvage for them. -
I thought the quote from Fork was, "I had heard stories...but I had no idea."
Frankly, with six fire/rads, even low level, all missions are farms. -
Zetaboards/Fruit Salad is what you want to post in. That's unreadable.
I can't really help on the build, but I'm here in the Kheld area for exactly the info I'm hoping this thread produces. -
My four servers:
- Liberty - I started here and got my first and only 50 here. Friendly people though due to it's low population gets a greater % of trial accounts mucking up the mix. More great players, more Leeroy Jenkins.
- Freedom - Home. Specifically, the WW in Talos is my home. Lots of players of different types and you can find mid-level players easier. Keep that ignore and your notes feature handy, you'll need them, especially if you don't get out of Atlas Park quick enough. Five starring is also good for great players. Best server to make a great team on, not just get on a team.
- Virtue - Like Freedom but I'm embarassed by the RP sometimes. I tend to stand next to War Witch in P-D when I level. It's just habit, but at night the freaks come out. Holy crap, you gotta see it to believe it. Virtue cannot insult Freedom for it's Atlas Park broadcast spammers, or shouldn't with the crazy RP that goes on.
- Champion - Weirdos. I've never gotten a good feel for the server. Everyone acts like a a bird or strange bug or something. Quick thinking, silent, alien. The tanks rule though. The others are strange twitchy reptiles.

It's tonight. I assume we'll meet on the dirt hill in Talos at 8 central.
What's the Freakolympics? I haven't heard anyone mention it in a while and I know it has to to with Oro.
If we decide to do one of the five big TFs, KF is level 26. If we did Sister P, that's the same that the team that meets on Thursdays [which includes me] is doing also. I did duplicate Synapse TF's last week. Though oddly, they felt totally different with all fire/rad and then a normal balance team. -
See yall at 8 central on the dirt mound in Talos.

Everyone's given you good advice. I have only a few things.
Get stamina at 20. You'll thank me when you run Positron. If it's at 22, you have no Stamina.
For many of your powers, especially pet powers, sets will be cheaper than the common IOs.
Procs in Freezing Rain. I forget which. I think the turtle one and Achillies heel. There's another an you can always put Lady Grey's in there. They will go off, but only once every 10 sec, so three times. Besides, Procs are fun.
As said, Hurricane is situational, but if you've ever had those horrible Shamen pulling that crap on you, you know it can be effective. Once, when my team was getting wiped, I stood in a narrow passage holding back around 17 Council, screaming, "Heal me!" and with heals and around 30 seconds of me being a barrier for our team, letting only a few through, we were able to take them on and not all die.
Lightning Storm is the most fun in dense crouds. I do some cheapy acc/rech in Terror as you can stack them. I think I can have three out at once. Silly, but it locks them down and ill/storm gets a bad rep for chaos w/o control. It deserves it, muah ha ha ha, but we can lock stuff down.
But, seriously, look into Pet Sets at least. -
True. And to go along with that, I've never taken a blaster past 38.
