  1. Page 1 is my active heroes, starting with seven 50s, in order of reaching 50, then five more descending by level.

Page 2 is a couple backup heroes, followed by my three Praetorians.

Page 3 is my villains, starting with the three I've played significantly descending by level then four level 3s.
  2. After getting all the new exploration badges, the Praetorian badges that were opened up and the new zone events, and running the new hero arcs, I'm at 1,071 on my main. 1,100 should be a simple matter of getting a veteran badge, Firebug, and any new badges from the Winter Event, then finishing up villain Day Jobs before making the switch.
  3. Great guide. It took me five tries to get the badge, and I never had the presence of mind to try to force a mission reset if it looked like I was going to fail, so I had to reset the whole arc. At this point, I'm thoroughly sick of this arc and never want to see it again.

    Some additions/corrections:

"Bad People, Good Intentions" is the name of the arc under Ouroboros.

    - Roy sets you three fairly short missions before offering the special badge mission. It's the one in the large building with Rogue PPD enemies.
The No One Left Behind mission is mission #5 (#3 and #4 trigger from the same briefing).

    - There are two floors to the level at first, with the final boss at the "up" elevators on the second.
The boss is on the third floor, and the rogue PPD are on floors four and five.

    Quote:
    - DO go up the stairs to see if one of the 12 cops is up there, but DO NOT go around behind the wall to face the final enemies and the main objective. The main captive is VERY low level and if he is hit once by the enemies by an AoE grenade he will die and the mission will fail instantly. Also, you do not need to rescue the main captive at all. Saving him has no effect on the badge or the story arc.
If you do rescue him, you'll have to escort him all the way to the mission entrance, all the way on the first floor. It may be possible to rescue him and all the fallen cops, but I never managed it. I'd advise either going for the badge or trying to complete the mission.

Also, sometimes there's a cop lying behind the prisoner and his guards, so you may want stealth if you don't want to fight.

    Quote:
    - You need to click each cop and then click the "get out of here" dialogue option to rescue them.
You just need to click them. "Get out of here!" is just flavor, you can close the dialogue window with the X in the corner and still get credit.

Certainly true, but "Clarissa van Dorn" is the name she goes by. The quiz does accept "Countess Crey" (...actually, just "Countess" was enough), and I checked "Julianne Thompson" and I think it was accepted, but I don't remember.

Friday is not an option for me, but Sunday might be, depending on when and what I've got going on in RL. (Holidays are wreaking havoc on my available game time; and just when I'd planned to start a weekly Sunday event, too.)

If I am able to make it, I'd bring my blaster.
  7. As expected, Christmas decorating is going to keep me busy on Sunday, so I'm not scheduling anything for this week. Have a good weekend, and hopefully Issue 19 will be ready to come out next week

Sorry for being confusing; I specifically had villain badges in mind. As you say, for the hero day job, etc. badges, the reverse is true: vigilantes can earn them, rogues can earn credit but need to switch to hero to get the badge itself.

Rogues count as "pure villains" for badges, and can earn any badge villains can except those that specify villain alignment (e.g., "Maintain villain alignment for 7 days"). It's vigilantes that can accumulate credit but can't earn a few specific series of badges until they complete the switch.

I believe this may be the case with the badge in question also (although it's been awhile since I did it on my hero-turned-villain badge toon).
It's not. My main, a vigilante who's never been a villain, has the badge.

However, with the exception of Reformed/Villain, none of the badges required for Uninsurable/Force of Nature have progress bars on a vigilante. I have most of them now (I'm a few arsons short of (Reformed) Firebug), so they're available.
  10. Thanks to everyone for coming out, and special thanks to Tamerlayne for leading the LRSF.

As for next Sunday, I'm not sure what my RL schedule's going to look like, so I'm not going to make any in-game plans just yet. I'll make a post later in the week when I have a better idea what's going on.

Are you only interested in doing a MoLRSF, or would you be willing to join a regular LRSF? I definitely intend to do MoLRSFs in the future, but as this is my first try I have misgivings about it.

Still, doesn't look like I19 is today...
Well, I planned to go this weekend even if i19 didn't come out, which it didn't, so everything's still on for Sunday. See y'all in Grandville!
  12. I've been thinking of doing this for a while, and the incarnate system provides a perfect reason. (Even if i19 doesn't come out this week, it's still on. Just ignore everything I say about incarnates.)

Starting this Sunday, I'm going to be organizing at least one (possibly more, depending on time and interest) of the following task/strike forces each week on Sunday afternoon so people can get incarnate components:
    • Statesman Task Force
    • Lord Recluse Strike Force
    • Lady Grey Task Force
    • Imperious Task Force
    • Dr. Kahn Task Force
    • Barracuda Strike Force
Regarding Master attempts: If I don't say I intend for something to be a Master attempt, and you're only interested in a Master attempt (or a non-Master attempt), say so when you sign up. Otherwise, my general opinion is that if someone wants to go for Master and no one objects, there's no harm in trying.

I'm going to kick off this Sunday with...

    LORD RECLUSE STRIKE FORCE
Sunday, November 21 at 3:00 PM EST
Team Requirements: 8 characters, all at least level 45. Leader must have Usurper badge.
Badge: (Former) Servant of Recluse. Also available are Master/Mistress of Olympus, Annihilator, (Ex-)Archvillain, and a lot of progress toward Hero Slayer/Bloody Hands.
    Reward Merits: 25.
Incarnate Component: Essence of the Incarnate. Required for: Musculature Boost, Musculature Core Boost, Nerve Boost, Nerve Radial Boost, Spiritual Boost.

I've never run this so of course I'm going to start with it. As I've never run it, I'd appreciate it if someone who has would be willing to come along to help guide the team. Also, I don't have the badge to start the strike force, so I'm going to have to ask someone else to be team leader. (If it's the same person, great.)

As this will be my first run, my inclination is not to go for Master, but I don't have any strong objections if someone wants to and is willing to put up with a first-timer

LRSF Sign Up (Character - level powersets archetype - global)
    1. Reserved for team leader - must be level 50 and have Usurper badge

    DR. KAHN TASK FORCE
Sunday, November 21 at 5:00 PM EST (or 15 minutes after the LRSF ends, whichever is later)
Team Requirements: 4 characters, all at least level 45.
    Badge: Column Breaker.
    Reward Merits: 30.
Incarnate Component: Dimensional Keystone. Required for: Cardiac Core Boost, Musculature Boost, Nerve Boost, Nerve Core Boost, Spiritual Radial Boost.

I've done this one plenty of times. Of the six, it's probably the one I'll feel most comfortable leading, at least at first.

If you intend to join this and have a Dimensional Grounding Ray from a previous attempt that doesn't have the full 10 charges, please use it up before this one starts. Or at least before the end of mission #4.

If I'm around, I'd be glad to help out. Sadly, I have plans for Sunday afternoon that will likely keep me away right when you'd start running the ones I still need on my main (LGTF and Barracuda; LRSF as well, but I've never run a regular LRSF). On the other hand, with the Incarnate system coming, there should be plenty of runs of these TFs in the not-too-distant future.

Of course, Nemesis getting Praetoria to attack the Rikti homeworld, but then creating Freedom Phalanx automatons on Primal Earth as a decoy would be quite typical of his way of operating
Maybe the Rikti in general don't know about Praetoria, but Lk'Onic heard about them through his work with Vanguard.

In any case, the Dark Watcher's arc makes it clear that it was Nemesis automatons that attacked the Rikti. That quote comes from Serpent Drummer's arc, before that particular revelation.

He revels in the destruction of the multiverse. Sounds pretty nihilistic to me. Later on when you have lured him back into the light with a candle of pure flame he says that he is glad to be defeated, in a way, and that he has seen the multiverse and despised it. Clear nihilistic tendencies. He may be 5th Column but he's also Nictus. Being the puppets of nictus masters is what should make the Council nihilists, not the other way around. Requiem is quite extraordinary in that he has remained in control over himself despite being possessed by a nictus for so long.
That particular version of Requiem has gone insane(r) from being the only one left after the Path of the Dark succeeded. I don't think Primal Requiem has gone that crazy; yet, anyway.

    Anyone tested it?
    It's 20-29, 30-40, and 40-50. I'm not sure which set level 40s get, but I lost a tip gained at level 29 when I trained to 30.

When you become a villain, you will remain a member of your SG with the following limitations:

    1. You cannot access your SG base, nor any other hero SG base.
    2. You cannot play in SG mode to earn prestige or wear SG colors.
    3. If you are the SG leader, you will be demoted and a random member will become leader.

When you become a rogue, nothing will change.

When you go back to hero, you'll still be in your SG, immediately regain access to your base and SG mode, but won't automatically be promoted back to leader.
  20. About a year ago, I remember logging in a character to find she was in the Crey building in Nerva; I was positive I hadn't logged out there because I didn't know where it was (the only reason I knew it was the Crey building is that I got the Day Job badge). It happened again a couple weeks later, and this time I chalked it up to being the default location it sends you if something's wrong with where you were when you logged out.
  21. Here's a list of all previously villain-only badges. There are some defeat badges not on the list because Heroes could earn them, but the enemies are more abundant redside (CoT enemies only available to heroes during the Valentine's event, Tsoo Blue Ink Men, Longbow, Coralax).
  22. To the best of my knowledge, I've never seen Herc titans merge into a Zeus.

However, despite what the badge text says, any Zeus titan counts for badge credit, regardless of whether it started as two Hercs or not. Crimson's missions, particularly late in his arc, contain a bunch of Zeus titans that will even spawn as lieutenants if you're solo and don't have difficulty set to spawn bosses, and they all count.

Rogues can start Hero task forces, as long as they meet any other requirements (e.g., finishing Buck Salinger's arc for Katie). I don't think the Shard TFs have any special requirements, so there shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, that's how I did the "Stop 30 Fir Bolg..." mission last time I did it (nowadays I don't take Skipper as a contact entirely because of that one mission). I killed what I felt was enough, jumped on top of the hedge, and went to take a nap.

My least favorite mission is from Unai Kemen's arc: Defeat all psychic Clockwork on the outdoor factory map. That map isn't suited to a defeat all, and there could not be a worse choice of enemies for it than Clockwork (flying, vulnerable to knockback, gears that run off if they get the chance).
