For some of the TFs I'm on, it might take me longer to add notes for everyone saying I was on the TF with them than it does to finish the TF... >.>

I have 1-starred people who I thought were complete jerks or otherwise too annoying for me to ever want to team with them again. Only once have I had the chance to leave a team because someone on it was previously 1-starred, and at that time he wasn't the team leader and it was just a bank mission so I just kept quiet. He was a good player, just sometimes a jerk.
I have 5-starred a lot of my regular friends. Occasionally I've confused them by saying hello when they were on some alt I don't necessarily know. More often I see a bunch of stars as I'm running around, pause to see who it is, target them and type /e bonks $target on the head, then continue on. ^_^
I've sometimes 4,3,2-starred people simply for various degrees of annoying. Like the guy who was a SG mate and a good player, but a complete blowhard. Or another SG mate who was friendly but completely clueless and constantly asking the most inane questions. People that are in my SG that quit a task force, that's worth 2 stars -- I might wind up teamed with them again, so I won't 1-star them, but I won't run another task force with them if I can help it.
Usually the star system is just there to tell me to look at notes, where I've typed something that specifically says what I like or don't like about that player.
Overall, though, I've probably rated less than 50 players total. -
I have a fully kitted out EM/SD scrapper, which I pull out on occasion for fun AoE damage. But the scrappers that I've done the incarnate thing with so far are katana/regen and martial arts/willpower. I actually have 4 level 50 martial arts scrappers, 2 level 50 katana scrappers, and 1 level 50 broadsword scrapper. So I guess I enjoy massive single-target damage. ^_^ My MA scrappers are just tons of fun to play, end of story.

Ditto. MG and Korb frequently play nuking blasters, so on our teams we frequently have 2-3 blasters nuking in succession. Add in a good tank and some support (to venge and rez as needed) and what else do you really need? Everything dies!
-
I don't know about you, but I've made probably more than 3 billion in the last week or so. Reactive Armor, Aegis, Decimation IOs have been selling for 40, 50, 70, 80 million a piece crafted.
(And just before I19, a lot of recipes were going for thousands a piece!)
I burned 2.2 billion for the Crazy 88's on Tuesday, and here it is Saturday and I was able to burn a billion for Hero Force Gamma division ^_^. -
I at about 1028 or 1029 with Mouse Police at the moment.
I still need to go villain at some point, then back to hero... -
I logged on last night and my friend asked me what I was planning to do, and I said I needed 4 shards to fill my alpha slot for my scrapper Tiffany. (So far I'd only gotten Mouse to Alpha status -- for Tiffany I'd run an ITF earlier and had 4 shards plus the component reward you get from doing that TF).
So I said I wanted to do anything that might get me shard drops. My friend said let's do an ITF!
By the time we got to Imperious I had two shard drops and was feeling pretty good, but my friend had 6! :O Then we beat down Imperious four times and lo and behold, I got 3 more shards! Happy day!
So now I'm definitely a convert to the idea that an ITF is good for drops. ^_^ 3 on my first run (last Saturday), 5 on last night's run! -
Last month I got Organica to level 50. Started sometime in May 2004.
I also got Bubble Girl Six to level 50. Started last January or February 2010. I did PL her to 20, I've done that to a lot of toons in the last year or so, then played the rest of the way.
I also got another character to 50 in only a couple of weeks of play. But that did involve some PLing beyond just getting to 20. /shrug. Hunter's Kiss.
I think I might have hit 50 on only one other character all year though. I know I leveled Squiddy Kitty up to 50 in July so that I could claim to have a fully purpled Warshade, but I'm not sure I have any other 50s in 2010. (And Squiddy Kitty is a toon from 2006 or 2007 at the latest.)
I currently have a level 44 dual pistol blaster that I started in October as part of a "static team" that plays 2 hours a night, 3 nights a week. Sable Lance is the name -- no PLing at all, I forget if we even did a sewer run, but we've done story arcs and TFs nearly the full way. That will almost certainly be my next 50.
I do have about 6-8 other toons that are between level 42 and 47. -
I ran two Hami raids Monday night. I got 2 shard drops + the 4 shard reward on the first raid, and 3 shard drops (+53 merits) on the second raid. I had 4 shards when I started, not even sure where I got three of those, I haven't run any TFs on Mouse lately, I might have even received those during the monster hunt, but anyway combined that was 13 shards, so I was able to craft whatever common I wanted. ^_^ All for a couple of hours work at most.
-
Heck, make a Crazy 90's too. Try to drive a certain SG out of the top 15.
-
Because a TF that forces you to work is the equal of 22 boring missions with no challenge?
Could it possibly be that not every player on every server has filled their alpha slot yet?
Oh and... Cathedral of Pain recruit on global channels... just last Sunday. I wasn't able to join though. -
I only burned about 2.2 bil tonight but it was fun. ^_^
-
A trillion. Erf. Even if I were to tally up all the IOs I have stored away -- 9 tables worth, so well over 800 IOs but only about 20 purples / pvp recipes I guess -- I'm not sure I'd come close to even 100 billion.
I don't store anything very valuable in gleemail either. For my purposes, I'll email 200 million or less at a time, and that amount is not something I worry about losing so I might leave it sit there for a few days. More than that, and I claim it right away. Very useful IOs/recipes I claim right away.
I don't usually store money on the market either. I buy stuff with it and put it in my base. ^_^ -
If you want to go the "Third Build = Ski Run Build" Route, which I did over the weekend, here's some tips:
2-slotted Springfoot = 2% jumpspeed and 2% jumpheight. I slotted 5 of these, using sprint, combat jumping, and 3 of my prestige sprints (yes I actually slotted those ^_^ )
5-slotted Focused Smite = 3% run speed, jumpspeed and jumpheight. Cheap melee set. I slotted 3 sets.
2-slotted Kinetic Crash = 3% run speed. Knockback set, also cheap, I used this set too.
2-slotted Regen Tissue = 4% run speed. Since I'm regen I was able to slot 4 sets of these.
5-slotted Thunderstrike = 4% run speed, jumpspeed, jumpheight. Sort of cheap ranged damage set (it's a popular set though, despite being all common drops.)
Lots of things grant 5% run speed (and jumpspeed/jumpheight in some cases): 2-slotted Aegis (resist); 2-slotted Performance Shifter (endurance), 2-slotted Gaussian's Syncronized Fire-Control (to hit buff) just to name the easy ones I picked. These are not cheap sets, but you can buy the cheapest/least popular pieces from each set.
3-slotted Winter's Gift grants 6% run speed/jumpsped/jumpheight. Unfortunately the set includes a unique so you can only slot it once, in a travel power. You can get these cheap with candy canes at the moment.
Gift of the Ancients 7.5% run speed can be slotted in any defense-related power: Hover, Combat Jumping, Weave, Stealth, Invisibility, Grant Invisibility, Manuevers, Vengeance. You should be able to slot 5 of these. Not an especially cheap IO usually though.
I piled on a bunch of those IOs, turned on sprint and ninja run, and was able to get the gold medal slolom badge in just a few tries, where I failed consistently last year. ^_^ -
So last year on my main badger Mouse Police, I got all of the ski speed badges save the 50 second gold slolom one. I tried over and over. I could not stay on the track with superspeed, but with ninja run + sprint I'd hit 51 seconds, 52 seconds, 53 seconds... never 50 seconds. I just wasn't fast enough.
So this year I thought, "Hey, I've got a third build. Why not make a Ski build?
I worked out a build that had 2% run increase x 5, 3% run speed increase x5, 4% run inscrease x 5, 5% run increase x5, 6% run increase x 4, and 7.5% run speed increase x 5.I five-slotted sprint! I two-slotted three of my prestige sprints! I three-slotted my inherent fitness powers with run and jump IOs! I had combat jumping five-slotted, I had two travel powers... it was a strange build.
Along the way I spent a lot of money (I can be a buy it nao type when I'm working on a project like this!). I figured I can pull everything out and sell it again later if I really wanted to. I had a lot of candy canes saved up, and bought a lot of the Winter universal IO recipes. Used some, tossed the rest into my base to wait half a year.
I needed 6 generic run IOs. I noticed that level 50 generic run IOs were going for as much as 1 million each, with virtually none for sale. Well, I have all my recipe memorization badges, and common salvage is dirt cheap again, so why not craft them myself?
Crafting wass around 165,000 each I think. I crafted a ton of them and put them up for sale. Low level marketing, but very easy and quick! I sold quite a few from 600,000 to 1 million each over the weekend. ^_^ Not that I've come close to making back the money I spent, but I find that if I'm making money, I'm happy. Sometimes marketing isn't about how MUCH you make, but just knowing you're making a few million for virtually no effort.
Took me only five or six runs to hit 49.88 seconds. Badge earned! Build now useless!

Quote:Actually the entire map is identical to the final Hess map, minus the robot and scaffolding.Does NOBODY run the Hess TF any more?
While the lead-in to the room is different, that's (mostly, if not completely) the room the giant robot is in in Striga. If you have fly, go up, you'll see the "doors" at the top of the room. He's standing on the platform the robot stands on.
I've run Hess maybe 60+ times since August, I know the map pretty well. ^_^ -
Lately I'll spend an hour or two, once a week, maybe on a Friday night or Saturday morning to log in all of my marketing toons, collect sales, collect stuff I've bid on, craft, and list stuff for sale. Other than that, I play normally. If I happen to log in one of my market toons to play, I'll check on the market at that time too.
I put in bids for 10 recipes at a time (lowball bids) and for the salvage... come back next time, craft 10, list 10.... come back next time, collect my sales. Sometimes bids don't come in, sometimes stuff doesn't sell right away... but overall I think I pull in at least a billion every 2 weeks just doing that.
My market toons are mostly my level 50s, they don't need the market slots for anything else. On some of them I've placed bids for IOs that I plan to use that may not fill for a very very long time... thinks like level 15 stealth IOs, level 30 Oblits or Kinetic Combats, etc. -
I run under Win7. My only issue is the game will eventually crash, but that's after 2-3 hours of intensive use. If I run two task forces in a row, I've learned to quit the game in between. That solves the problem.

Option One: Slot Brawl. Don't even put any other attacks or defense/resist or any other toggles in your tray. Use only brawl. Brawl as much as you want! As fast as it recharges! You will never run out of endurance!!!!
This method is guaranteed to work for any AT!!!
Option Two: Use all of your powers as you will. Please note that, with inherit fitness, you will be able to use more attacks and fight for longer than pre-I19, and you will be able to run more defensive/resist or other toggles for longer than before, and you will recover endurance faster in between fights, but you will probably STILL run out of endurance and have to rest.
If you conclude that this means you're less effective than pre-I19, go back to Option One. -
I did burn another billion yesterday.
Someone in my normal SG said that he'd spent 60 million to completely re-IO his toon. So I said I'd burned a billion on prestige. ^_^ I'm not sure everyone believed me.
I have a standing offer up on my SG web site to give out money to whoever posts in my thread there. Posted a month ago; so far only one person has taken me up on it. -
Wouldn't a better long-term strategy be to buy up Winter's Gift IOs for sale later?
I don't know about anyone else, I sold some of those a few months ago for quite a lot of money. I was planning to buy more -- some at level 30 for myself, some to sell at a future point next year.
But you can sell your candy canes to me. ^_^ -
Aaaaaaaaand... Siphon Insight chance for +to hit sold for 5 mil.
That's the last one I had for sale. All done!
