Why did States have to die? He hasn't done anything in game other than stand around and hand out TFs when he isn't getting kidnapped. Same with the rest of the FP.
Through normal gameplay you could have no idea that the FP were supposed to be anything more than quest givers with a ? over their heads. -
Ninja Run is the lowbie tanker's best friend. No powers wasted on pure travel powers (CJ is basically free defense).
One of the things I like about tankers is that I don't have to monkey around with sets to have a durable tanker. To me, brutes are like scrappers with a painful boot up period when you don't set them out. With a team a SO brute can approach tanker levels but then you need the right support.
SR, for example, softcaps with CJ+Steadfast as the only non-SR defense sources. One pool power and one IO versus the piles of Mako's, ToD, Aegis, weave, etc. etc. needed to do so on a brute. Some people like the AH and IO minigames. Most times, I don't, so for me tankers get the edge over brutes if there's no other deciding factor. -
Nope. Did my stint raiding in that other game, don't like seeing it invade this one.
I'd be less annoyed with incarnates if only Alpha functioned in normal content as was originally planned. Judgement and Destiny turn everything into roflstomps. -
The same way Wade was allowed to run right past you and Monty saying "Nyah nyah, you can't get me!" in SSA1.2.

Quote:Brutes send a fury check to all mobs in a close proximity to calculate how much fury they should be gaining when they do attack. That pulse notifies mobs.Entropic Aura is also a Taunt aura.
The Scrapper version notifies enemies too, just like Against All Odds, Rise to the Challenge, and Invincibility.
It is not just a recharge boosting aura, it is actively taunting them when you are within range.
I had a dark armor brute that I thought was bugged since with no damage or debuff auras toggled on and 65' of stealth mobs would still aggro for no apparent reason. Fury was the reason. -
The fury check would make suppressing Entropic Aura somewhat pointless on a brute since for whatever reason it notifies enemies. Scrappers do not have that issue.

Quote:Nor does it support the Zig being anything more than a day spa with poorly chosen dress codes. The game's structure does not even remotely support the player having an organization at his disposal, never mind having any real political power in the world. Failure Is The Only Option.

I usually start using generic IOs at 12 and don't bother with [T|D|S]Os. I hate catastrophic enhancement failure. I also don't like making people wait around while I refresh enhancements so that the catastrophic failure doesn't happen.

My other EA scrapper with Energy Cloak + Stealth IO didn't need to detoggle Entropic Aura a few months ago as far as I recall.
Tomax says Scrapper Energy Cloak has StealthOn.
Powers with effects tagged StealthOn:
CategoryPowersetPower
Brute DefenseEnergy Aura Entropic Aura
Scrapper DefenseEnergy Aura Entropic Aura
Stalker DefenseEnergy Aura Entropy Shield -
My Claws/Energy Aura scrapper has a stealth IO proc and Energy Cloak which gives 65 feet of real numbers displayed stealth.
If I have Entropic Aura on, mobs aggro from melee range.
If I turn Entropic Aura off, I can tap dance on their heads without them caring.
Energy Cloak should suppress Entropic Aura with the StealthOn flag but doesn't seem to be working.
I know it used to work but seemed to stop just recently.
Anyone else notice this?
I bugged it, just got standard boilerplate in response. -
I pretty much always go with scrapper secondaries that have a taunt aura.
It may be almost non-existent duration ones like WP or EA, or it may be beasts like Shield and Invuln, but usually it comes on a power I was going to take anyways and I usually don't have the power picks to spare on confront or the pool AoE taunt, and if I did have a free power I'd never have the slots.
I am slightly annoyed they gave tanker SR the WP treatment. Sure it's dead easy to softcap but any new content seems to be guaranteed to have autohit or untagged attacks (I'm looking at you positionless blaster twins in the SBB). -

Quote:Damn the brain damage, full speed ahead!4. The solo incarnate path needs to be fixed by adding a hallucinogenic cut scene at the end of every story arc that causes the player to be put into a fugue state whereupon they forget having played it.
When you run three arcs a night for a month straight to actually progress in DA (and that resulted in all of 3 T3 slots and only 30% unlocked in the other two) you've got to be causing brain damage anyways. -

Quote:Perhaps a kickstarter to buy the devs licenses for a speech-to-text dictation program so all they have to do is go back and format it?It wouldn't hurt the people actually in charge doing this for a living to take a mere minute to type down the changes, though. Oh, except then there might be less incentive for people to watch their boring videos.
I'd throw $5 in. -
I haven't found any temperature monitors yet but it does seem to run cooler.
Though I also found out that while macros are stored account side disable xp isn't. Now to decide to reroll that Praetorian again or just roll with missing half og the Imperial arcs... grrr... -
There is only one word I need to convey my response to there being no new iTrials in issue 24, "Yes!!!!!".
There'd probably be some modifiers to that but apparently there still will be development time wast, err, spent on incarnates. -
Prometheus could be a Battalion agent sent to get rid of the actual threat to them (Tyrant, Wade took care of #2, some no name mook apparently) and to 'season to taste' the human well. They probably don't like bland wells and they don't want it too spicy so it causes heartburn.
The writers would never stoop to a "good job breaking it hero", though it would make the redsiders happy since they weren't actually being forced to save the world in the iTrials since they were actually dooming all of humanity. -
Searchable text is soooo last century. Unsearchable and realtime videos are the way of the future.
Next someone will want these details to actually be on this board and not some trend-of-the-nanosecond site.
Oh, that'd be me by the way. -
Quote:Just add in an aura that shuts off incarnate powers and then they can enjoy a challenge just like everyone else."Look, forces of The Battalion"
"LOL judgment AoE roflstomp"
"Well, that clears up that... I guess..."
They devour wells so taking a refreshing drink or two off nearby players shouldn't be all that unbelievable. It'd also be a good explanation why they've rolfstomped everything so far, everyone else thought their incarnates' judgement and destiny spam would lead to a facerolling victory. -

And if you had not automatically gone mac-ranting you'd have noticed I already said it was the client and your astute observation of obvious concatenating issues was rather redundant and served little purpose other than to demonstrate the inferiority of a platform that threatens your value system to its core.

Quote:After a month of days in DA and only getting T3 in three slots, the other two a massive 30% unlocked words comprehensible by mortals cannot describe my loathing of DA and even lesser gods would be blasted into oblivion by merely thinking them. Are you therefore saying that the developers should not expect us to have any of our characters maxed out? Even if its just one T3 of each incarnate ability? In this case I am excluding IO's as the Devs have said that they will not be required for anything they have not, as far as I know said the same about the incarnate ability's.
So if they did make content which required them what would you do?
I'd ignore them like I do everything after a T3 (thank you NotW) Alpha.
