  1. Just fixing the bug that shuffles back all chars in selection screen after having sorted them out would do for me.
  2. Dunno, my first toon is a DM/SR and was smooth lvling, the roughest period for an SR is between lvls 30-35 when heavy AoE dmg starts showing up and Evasion is not yet available, but once you get Evasion is a piece of cake plus nowadays sets (some of them orange I'm afraid) make Elude a skippable power for PvE (respecced it out on both my SR's).

There are of course uncomfortable foes for SR's such as Nemesis and their vengeance, Devouring Earth with their +ToHit eminators and Rularuu (Council lieutenants despite having increased tohit chance are not much of a threat) but nowadays SR is probably the best performing scrapper secondary for PvE to the point that if you take its defenses past soft cap with sets and boost its regen you can skip not only Elude but also Aid Self without major problem.

    Scrapper set

    DM/DA or Claws/Fire FTW!
  4. Nightmarer

    Best new toon?

I'd go for any of the following

    Earth/Rad Controller
    Fire/DA Scrapper
    Ice/DM Tanker
    Fire/Mental Blaster
    BS/WP Scrapper

Add this to your sig max...

In this case Max is totally incorrect - Antibiotical

The suggested team make up cosisted of a tank and control, neither of which allow a brute to get decent fury, ofc the brute could run of and gain it, but a good tank tends to like having all the agro.

Id say scrapper as you know what ur getting off the bat.

    [/ QUOTE ]

A good tank and a good brute shouldn't have any kind of trouble playing together and having enough aggro for the tank and full fury for the brute.
  6. Soloing on a defender on PvE is not really a good idea tbh. If you want a defender that seems good in PvP and that can solo almost decently (at least until lvl 32) on PvE you want either a Rad/Sonic or a Rad/Psi, but as I said, if you want to solo a defender on PvE, be ready for a huge patience dose.

    dark aura

Dunno, I have the following toggles always on:

    Dark Embrace
    Murky Cloud
    Obsidian Shield
    Cloak of Fear
    Oppressive Gloom
    Combat Jumping
    Tough
    Weave
    Cloak of Darkness

All on my lvl 50 DM/DA and so far so good, in fact I don't have to choose which toggles should be on/off except for ghosting, that makes 9 toggles, I don't think I could afford Death Shroud on top of all that (don't need it anyway) without further set IO's, but I'd say it is a matter of WHEN making the right power selection and of course, spending inf on +recovery set IO's.-

For me the only way to play a DA is with all toggles on, if I had to start switching toggles, I wouldn't have rolled one.

    Hehe, Ice/DM is much better

The Stalker version has a Reconstruction.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Indeed it has, we were talking scrappers / brutes though

    [ QUOTE ]
Indomitable Will gives you some +Def (psi).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, Indomitable Will gives you around 10% psi def, Heightened Senses gives around 15% - 20% typed defence (can't remember the exact figure).

Edit The resistances to fire - cold - energy - neg are pitiable though, around 9%, decent psi resistance (30ish%) and no toxic resistance. Smashing / Lethal res are around 35%.

Can't remember the exact figures for smashing/lethal resistance and for typed defences of the set itself because the figures I have in mind are including Tough/Weave/CJ. Including these three powers, your WP scrapper should have around 52% smashing/lethal res, 32% psi res, 10% psi def, 26% def against energy - neg - fire - cold and 9% res against energy - neg - fire - cold

It is really a combination of defence/resistance/regeneration/high HP, don't think can be defined a resistance or defense set. In fact Castle himself referred to WP as jack of all trades, master of nothing (or close enough)
  10. WP doesn't have a self heal and it is both resistance / typed defence based (plus regeneration ofc).
  11. Brutes are more suited for mass killing since they can herd mobs easier than most scrappers (note I used the word "herd" and not "tank") so they can build their fury fast and become killing machines with their increasing damage and their higher resistances. Scrappers have more mobility inside a fight, they can jump oustide the main group to kill a runner or help a squishy that aggroed the wrong boss or keep busy the group nearby that the stoopid blaster/troller aggroed "by mistake" without carrying an aggro train behind them.

Imo the main difference is that brutes are more effective on static fights while scrappers have more mobility inside a fight (generally speaking ofc, there are always exceptions).-
  12. Sands of Mu for chars that carry no weapons and Axe for chars with weapons.
  13. Medicine pool?

    MEDICINE POOL???

  15. I have version 175.19 and don't have that bug... get randomly dc'd though
  16. Nightmarer

    Annoying!!

Ooooh I had that same reply this morning... but it was fixed, pity the ITF was arranged for yesterday and not for today. I wonder if I could have escalated to a Senior Customer Representative for him to arrange a run with same players today...
  17. Nightmarer

    Buff Macros

Hmmm good point, plus scrappers/tankers can do without Clarity, will prolly stick Clarity to numpad9 by itself.-

The only thing it lacks is some crowd control,

Try Fire/DA then and thank me forever
  19. Nightmarer

    Annoying!!

Oh, seems my petition has been upgraded to a Senior Customer Representative, seems that a missing piece of salvage that is a MUST to complete a story arc (stupidly idiotic story arc) and hence join a TF which I don't have due to a bug needs some higher permissions to be sorted out, so much for fast solutions

Hope a Senior Customer Representative has enough auhtority to sort this out, if this has to be escalated step to step until it reaches Matt Miller will probably take a bit long.
  20. Nightmarer

    Annoying!!

    /rant mode on

OK, it is annoying enough we have to endure same stoopid story arc over and over again to a zone that has no content besides a TF (that will be brilliant when they fix the stoopid lag on 3rd mish) that now I find the arc is bugged and Lady Jane (who was supposed to act more intelligently as per last patch, sooo, gratz Lady Jane, now you'e officially Fusionette) mission does NOT always give you a piece of salvage required to complete the arc. I have found out that this is not uncommon and your choices are, either autocomplete mish (tough luck, I have to wait for 3 days) or send a petition (w00t!) which hopefully some day will be solved by a GM if they ever hire one.

After 3 hours since I petitioned this, I guess will have to wait 3 days to autocomplete the damn thing.

I WANT MORE ZONES WITH NO CONTENT BESIDES A TF THAT NEED AN IDIOTIC BUGGED STORY ARC TO GET IN!!!! YA HEAR ME POSITRON???!!!

    /rant mode off

Sorry, needed to steam this off

For single key useage you would need a bindloadfile system and each buff per team member would need three text files to load in sequence...

    1a.txt:
    numpad1 "teamselect 1$$powexecname clarity$$bindloadfile c:\binds\1b.txt"

    1b.txt:
    numpad1 "teamselect 1$$powexecname sonic thing$$bindloadfile c:\binds\1c.txt"

    1c.txt:
    numpad1 "teamselect 1$$powexecname something sonic$$bindloadfile c:\binds\1a.txt"

So each time you hit the key it would load up the next bind file for that key... Also probably want a key that rebinds the numpad keys to default sets...

    /bind divide "bindloadfile c:\binds\buffsetup.txt$$t $name, Binds reset..."
    buffsetup.txt:
    numpad1 "teamselect 1$$powexecname something sonic$$bindloadfile c:\binds\1a.txt"
    numpad2 "teamselect 1$$powexecname something sonic$$bindloadfile c:\binds\2a.txt"
    numpad3 "teamselect 1$$powexecname something sonic$$bindloadfile c:\binds\3a.txt"
    numpad4 "teamselect 1$$powexecname something sonic$$bindloadfile c:\binds\4a.txt"
    numpad5 "teamselect 1$$powexecname something sonic$$bindloadfile c:\binds\5a.txt"
    numpad6 "teamselect 1$$powexecname something sonic$$bindloadfile c:\binds\6a.txt"
    numpad7 "teamselect 1$$powexecname something sonic$$bindloadfile c:\binds\7a.txt"
    numpad8 "teamselect 1$$powexecname something sonic$$bindloadfile c:\binds\8a.txt"

    For example....

However I found that having a team select key and a power execute key were far simpler.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So basically I can keep the numpad to select teammates as it is through the /bind numpad1 Team_select 1" etc and could bind all 3 buffs to numpad0, hence I would select the team mate with numpad 1 then press numpad0 3 times to apply all buffs?

I guess to do that it would be something like this?

    1a.txt:
    numpad0 "powexecname clarity$$bindloadfile c:\binds\1b.txt"

    1b.txt:
    numpad0 "powexecname sonic barrier$$bindloadfile c:\binds\1c.txt"

    1c.txt:
    numpad0 "powexecname sonic haven$$bindloadfile c:\binds\1a.txt"

Did I get that right? (sorry, I've no idea about binds)
  22. Nightmarer

    [ QUOTE ]
    Technicly no.
But you can bind all powers to 1 button and then press it 3 times to apply all 3 buffs.
But I leave the explaining to others... Since I would probably mess it up.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Tried that... didn't manage to
  23. You can just check it in power attributes window

    Buff Macros

    Heya,

I am playing an Ice/Sonic troller and I would like to know if it is possible to apply all buffs (sonic barrier, sonic haven and clarity) by just clicking a key, I already have the numpad ready to select team mates so the idea would be to click numpad1 thus selecting team mate 1 and then click, let's say numpad0 to apply sonic barrier, sonic haven and clarity.

Any idea if this is possible and how can it be done?

    Thanks
