Blue hand GFX bug

I recently formatted my PC and since then I'm getting a little black box ingame whenever I'm supposed to get the little blue hand animation (when clicking doors, missiontext etc.)

Only real difference from my current installation from my old one is the updated Nvidia driver so guessing that's it. But seeing I havent seen others with this problem I thought I'd ask here before trying a different driver...yes...I'm lazy

Help appreciated.

Seeing noone posted I guess I should say that I fixed the problem by installing an older nvidia driver.

I have version 175.19 and don't have that bug... get randomly dc'd though

Archy, it was a known bug, forum search the Bug's and Technical forum threads...

It also depends on which version gfx card you have as the the later drivers with vista support have code for DX 9.0L which is vista's version of the window XP's DX 9.0c which runs on DX 10 and 10.1 gfx cards.
Which then effectively throws a spanner in the works of the earlier DX 9.0c cards.
