I had the unfortunate experience recently of tanking a 52 Rommie with my SR Scrapper because the Elec Tanker kept faceplanting. I don't think the ITF is too favourable for Elecs and is less forgiving when the team is sked way way up to 50 as they're missing a lot of slots. If I were you just post the build with basic IOs and we can see where it lacks the flexibility to best prepare for much you will have to face.

You have a very different take on the D/D/SM Brute to me I will say. The second and third post with the first build was written so long ago when endurance management was something most people didn't really consider. The question lies in the now. Your current build with the way you've slotted it might be better improved. Do you have endurance problems running all toggles? If there are atleast 2 NPCs in front of me, cones become valid, if there are atleast 4 npcs in front of me PBAoEs become valid as the dam per end is roughly equal to my single target attacks. All other toggles are good when needed and if needed I'd use them without endurance woes. You seem to like Soul Transfer though and perhaps like me, if that was my last resort to obtain endurance I'd use it.

Quote:I had a mate what used to play one, him in general is someone you don't have to ask anything of, he does it. It's almost like Mind Link. Very good Kin and he never had a prob with Kin/Rad afaik.I'm still wondering if you're serious and why no one responded yet. But probably I don't need to wonder at all.
My kin/rad defender is one of my best, if not THE best toon I've ever rolled. This guy does anything and he does it great.
He's even that great that I re-rolled him on my second acc, both are 50 and a blast to play, solo/team/TFs.
BEST. COMBO.EVER. <3<3<3<3<3<3<3 -
I think that the VEATs are something special.

I think people smart enough to decide which of their tankers is preferable for anything after giving things a shot.
-
I have tough and weave on my Ice tank. I don't think it is needed to tank. I have them not because they can be beneficial by making you more flexible in how you can tank for different team make ups but in picking all my powers in order of what I wanted to do now fitness isn't something you have to pick, I have plenty of room for it.

I wasn't sure if a 21% debuff to damage was to big to pass on so did this (hoped it would put me to sleep).

Caverns of Transcendence, Sewers, Eden trial and Hamidon are in essence the same thing. For me the caverns is a great progression step for the sewers and the sewers a great progression for the Eden trial and the Eden trial is a great progression for Hamidon. I don't care that the Devs didn't intend these to be progressions to eachother but I'd be damned if I didn't immediately see the pattern. The end content version "Hamidon" would be therefore in my mind be already there. Why make it later anyway? Earlier levels could do with fun stuff and what could be regarded as decent fun overload. Old Hamidon was pretty much sussed by a few players as to what was the right way but people, the majority, did it their way.

I'd rethink your build first of all. All them slots in unyielding would do better in Tough to reduce the end cost more. The +3%def would do better in RPD, the slotting in Tough Hide to Invincible, the slotting in Invincible to Weave. Now your net end gain is even better. Then consider where you have 6 slots. The bonuses of the 5th and 6th are worth it? Or could you swing and roundabout for more of something else? In dropping a couple of unnecessary slots you could bring much needed love to another power, remember 1 def = 2 res and a bunch of secondary effects missing.
In thinking of bang for buck I'd swap Manuevers for Combat Jump. Sure Manuevers might help the team but damage other than AoEs should be entirely on you and whether people decide to stick their heads in the AoE oven is down to them. Net end gain increases.
When it comes to the question of what alpha I would have if I had your build I'd start with 4 empty build plans with one of each type respectively in each of the four and do the build backwards.
My Inv/SS has better end rec to end drain and I basically would love more endurance recovery because now and then I still might fancy a blue. -
-
I am not digging the fast healing slotting quite frankly, thats 6 slots in a 3 slot power. I'd look to swings and roundabout the same end result but with that power with just 3 slots. I am sure it can be done. Also the way you slotted combat jump, I'd of done that to Indomitable will instead.
-
I would concentrate on S/L def, then +rechg. Get as much dam per end out of the build whilst raising the hit points. Hitpoints add regen and works well with resistance.

You know them little shadow type imps? Black Swans Shadow minions? 3 of them the dark versions of Fire Imps would be good pets. Doesn't have to be Fluffy.
This is how I might do it:
1 Petrifying Gaze
2 Midnight Grasp
3 Tar Patch
4 Fearsome Stare
5 Dark Pit
6 Black Hole
7 Soul Transfer
8 Shadow Minions
9 Soul Reaper (-end,-health to target, +end rec, +regen to self + pets) -
Recovery 3.23 - End drain 2.09 = Net end gain 1.143
Ideally it'll be no less than 2.5 as a rule for most attacks with good end redux will meet 2.5 so you're not gasping for end.
The slotting in superior conditioning you do that for a bit of end gain but if you're running foc acc you might by end reduxing that lower your end drain more and increase your net end gain better. -
Yeah kill or be killed. Resistance enhancements are schedule B, they do not boost survivability in the low levels by much as schedule B has a particularly low percentage gain to it. I went with schedule As, slotted up healing flames and blazing aura first, hastening healing flames asap and one thing people almost always do is take CJ as it is a long wait for Burn. Put a KB res IO in that. It's easier now fitness is inherent to squeeze in wanted powers in early. Back then I hastened consume for my endurance issues and slotted well endurance wise in attacks. Focusing on dam/end it was a case of defeat before being defeated. I slotted up armours once resistance schedule Bs would make a difference. Easily the faster leveler.

Some people find the crash insignificant because they can recover from it and carry on, some people find unstoppable unneeded because of the teams their in and how far they are willing to push their tank. Unaided, on more than one occasion I did Scirroco, Ghost Widow and Mako in melee for over 1200s using up 3 unstoppable crashed in their faces without faceplanting, within the first two weeks of them being live so for me back then it was a great thing for weathering soul storm.

As long as there are 3-5 mobs I can boof with it I'll keep it.
-
How packed can you get mobs? I thought cleave would be the better power but for the size of the cone. Me personally wouldn't look at Energy Torrent.

Quote:Each extra slot in stone skin is just 2 extra s/l res. For some its unmissable. I would of recharged earths embrace more so I can tank outside of granite for as long as possible. Otherwise your still leveling, gaining slots and gaining levels. I would tank with it but for the lack of taunt slotting. Stonetanks I find are comparatively rubbish at recoveries and not so hot at keeping AV aggro as other tankers. Your taunt to rechg ratio would be poor with granite on and still poor with a single slot. Good luck with it.Hi Folks,
I've been away for a bit and have just returned. I'm dusting off my Stone/Stone tank and I was wondering if someone would take a look at this build and help me decide on some IO sets as I am just about to start dabbling into this and need to respec since the Fitness chain is now given for free. I was thinking of going 'perma-Granite' but am not sure now also. I know I should look for recharge & movement bonuses. Any help is appreciated. Here is the data chunk. Thanks in advance!! -
Only 2 out of 3 builds appear to be updated.

Ok for now, you've used your powers in the way that you are flexible enough. I would always look at the team and tank to suit it before using any kind of get out of jail free card. I bet most people were just happy to finish it. Edit: LR cheats with them pylons anyhow.

Quote:I'd give the tanking of an MoSTF a shot with any of my Scrappers let alone any tank. Not bragging it just doable.Thank you.. In the standard game ( not things like MoSTF's etc etc ) You can tank anything with anything. Every set decently built will work well. I have played everything except Stone to 50 and I built my wife's level 50 Stone/SS tank so I am well aware of how Stone works.
There has been nothing yet that I havent been able to tank. Obviously some tanks handle somethings better than others but I can tank everything. -
As someone who plays every type I really couldn't give a poop which one I am on. It all doable.
