GR, I18, and I19 made a lot of changes to how tanks play, and especially Fire/Fire Tanks. At long last, I found the time to update my guide to account for all of them. Bruising! Fiery Embrace! Burn burning once again! What the heck to do with your Alpha Slot ability! Check it and have your Fire/Fire questions answered.

Guide: Tanking, Wall of Fire Style (Updated for I19!), and the Four Rules of Tanking
Story Arc:
Belated Justice, #88003
Synopsis: Explore the fine line between justice and vengeance as you help a hero of Talos Island bring his friend's murderer to justice.
Grey Pilgrim: Fire/Fire Tanker (50), Victory

Only 2 out of 3 builds appear to be updated.

He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

The one is just a basic IO/SO build, so I didn't bother updating it. I suppose I should for the inherent Fitness stuff, though. I'll look it over quick and update it.

To quote Shakespeare (Henry V), "I have but with a cursorary eye... o'erglanced the article." But I did notice you recommend Consume early because of the long wait for Stamina...that seems to be pre-inherent-Stamina reasoning and might bear re-writing.

In the same line of reasoning, it might be better to not wait until lvl 22 for Blazing Aura (of course, I felt that way before I19 as well).

Why Blasters? Empathy Sucks.
So, you want to be Mental?
What the hell? Let's buff defenders.
Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.

Hmmmm, think I forgot to adjust that bit about Consume... there were so many little details I revised, so I guess I'm not surprised. I think I'd still recommend it, though, as your end use as a Tank still isn't going to be great until SO levels. Not sure how I missed this one, since I revised Consume's discussion for the new changes. Thanks, though. No matter how much you work, there are always bits you miss in writing, I have found.

Kind of the same thinking about Blazing Aura, to be honest. I'm holding off on Hot Feet for my Dominator until he can get some better end use, and that really isn't until SO levels, either.

Wait, I did discuss the pros and cons of when to take Blazing Aura, even with inherent Fitness! Strato made me all nervous that I hadn't! Grrr.

I adjusted the Consume discussion to note my thinking about endurance use before SO levels. Fire Tanks really do want to keep Fire and Plasma Shield running if they can, and that's still harder to do before SO levels, I would contend (though not nearly so hard as before Inherent Fitness, to be sure.
