Dont think of it as failed, but rather expectations set too high.
I PvP in CoX from time to time, but not enough to take it seriously. You can't teach someone serious PvP. They have to want to do it. I listen in, take some notes, and make some basic modifications to play style as a matter of defensive/offensive tactical adjustments for when Im goofing off in RV or the arena, but Im not going to create a specialized PvP toon. Im not going to drop 10digits on a PvP-spec build. If my PvE builds work well in PvP, great.. if not, I'll hang for a bit then bail.
IMHO, if you really wanted to make PvP more popular, there would be more emphesis on keeping the numbers and ranks balanced in zone PvP. Strolling into RV with a half dozen organized villians sniping heroes is a great way to end up with a dead zone. When those sort of skill balance issues show, a re-org is in order, otherwise the action will die out. Casual PvP'ers dont have the ability to call for re-inforcements like the more seasoned PvPers do. I always hear that counter-arguement, and trust me, while I can call together PuGs for about anthing PvE in shortorder, I might be able to get 2 or 3 other casual players with me into PvP if I grovel well, but nothing that will balance out a zone. And when I am so bold as to ask for a villian to switch to balance out all I get back is "lrn2pvp". Yeah, that makes me want to stick around the zone. No thanks. Ill just head to the arena for some fun pvp, kthx. -
You dont have to change it or anything, I mean TFTs have always been a challenge, im just warning the scrappers out there its gonna be brutal in the beginning. Once you get through the substations, you can skip alot of fighting.
I just got my basketball schedule for this week and I have a 750pm game tomorrow, so Im gonna have to miss anyways =(. -
Khelds and scrappers.. on Synapse.... ugh. Could you pick a worse AT than scrappers for Synapse and all its end sapping Clock kill all missions.
Ive never made a Kheld, but scrappers aren't that fantastic at multi targeting at level 25. And I think only 2 have End Drain resist at that level as well (Dark Armor and Elec armor)... against 4 kill alls of Clocks to open the TF.... brutal. Level 25 means well below soft cap (no Grant Cover, but Phalanx Fighting is available for shields. Invuln doesnt get Invinc till 28. Its gonna be a serious slog for the scrappers getting drained by the clocks. -
Ill be the first to say Im surprised... well sort of. I mean I led a team that dominated... no surprise there, but I figured the blaster teams would have been closer to the troller time. I actually thought the trollers would be slower because of the limited AoEs available to us.
Cant wait to see which ATs we get to use for next week. -

Anyways, the skipping Mito strat only works for nuke raids. We've seen the stacked spawns before.. its pretty brutal, especially we you are arent covered in Bio Nuke level regen. The no port out strategy requires really good Emps to keep the taunters going and a few more EoEs.
As I recall from the early days of i9+ raiding, the range of the yellows does not reach all the way to Hami. Which means you dont have kill them if you can hug Hami or hover above him. Which, IMHO, is the viable skip strat. Hover over hami and take the greens that way. The focus fire on Hami. Still requires a Hami taunter tho.

He is heavily cloaked/hidden. Perhaps you just didnt have enough +Perception to see him.

Couple of notes:
1) never blow compressed air through a fan unless the blades are secured. Its a great way to trash a fan.
2) Run a vacuum nearby to pull the kicked up dust out (again not through a fan). No sense letting it settle right back down.
3) Most office supply stores have cans of air. Air is air. Personally, I use my airbrush compressor. Its a nice low pressure air stream thats filtered. -

Ive had the name Private Parts since beta for CoX.
He is a Robotics MM who was a miltary mechanic at one point. He was drummed out for "stealing" scrap to build his first robots.
Ive had at least a dozen people say they have petitioned my name...
It isnt always the name itself that gets gen'd. If you have a viable backstory to go with, the devs are alot looser.
I did have to report one person, for whom I still feel bad about reporting, but the MM's name was that of a war criminal from the 40's. I felt it crossed the bounds of good taste considering the crimes that were commited. It was an obscure name, but one I recognized and reported. And it was changed. -

MoITF is alot more common than MoKTF.
But dont be afraid to lead one up. There are usually a good number of takers for Mo runs.
And I think you mean Tournament Victor, the one for winning a Swiss Draw event. You arent the only one in need of this. Again, just be vocal about recruiting for it in BMT or other badgin channels and you are likely to get some hits. Some of us that have it are usually willing to fill if we arent TFing. -
Whew. At 132pm the last snap was sewn in and Bowser is complete... 58mins before the school Halloween parade. No worries.
For the record.... Bowser is a brutal costume to make.
2 armbands with 4 spikes each (yeah he's supposed to have 4, 2 on each arm, but it looked to cluttered)
Shell with 7 spikes, each with orange band around and white band around the whole shell.
Tail with 3 spikes.
Hood with spikey hair and 2 horns/spikes with orange bands.
And the main body suit, 2 tone (chest), with zipper.
42 elements to the costume... that will see maybe 2-3 hours of action.. and probably wont fit next year.
I kinda wish I wasn't back at work now, but rather at the parade to see him all suited up against the other kids' lame costume =P. Ah well, Mom gets to boast today. I get to review code. =( -

You cannot hit all 3 and still be blasting. With PFF on, sure. Otherwise there just arent enough sets that give +DEF to cap all 3 at once.

Speaking of the WarZone, isnt it great that the Zombies can do interdimensional travel (They do spawn in FireBase Zulu), but dont spawn in WarZone. I want to see the zombies take down the pylons for me =)

Im guessing its more bravado than substance. 1000% regen means nothing if you dont mitigate the 4000pt Psi-Tornado from Psi Babbage. Sure against foot soldiers with low burst damage youll be invincible, but Im yet to see a willpower scrapper volunteer for eating LR's damage on STF.
