Heh, i dont know what i was thinking but i made a thread last night with the simple title of "Mongoloid Porn Inferno."
It was a drunk-bored experiment to see how long it would take for it to get deleted (around 6-ish hours) because ive seen blatant misconduct go on in some of our threads with no consequences.
Was also an attempt to see what those consequences would be.

And it got me thinkin about other things that are policed, like in-game names for example. It got me curious as to how many people have had a toon Gen'd.
I, for 1 have and i know only of 1 other who has as well, hers was a reference to a movie title i think and mine was in reference to an illicit substance but there must be more peoples out there.

So, what was the toons name?
What did you change it to?
Do you think it was a result of being reported?

I had X-Factor for over a year then got gen'd stopped playing it for another year then finally named it Blackcide, who again I still don't play

Ive had the name Private Parts since beta for CoX.
He is a Robotics MM who was a miltary mechanic at one point. He was drummed out for "stealing" scrap to build his first robots.
Ive had at least a dozen people say they have petitioned my name...

It isnt always the name itself that gets gen'd. If you have a viable backstory to go with, the devs are alot looser.

I did have to report one person, for whom I still feel bad about reporting, but the MM's name was that of a war criminal from the 40's. I felt it crossed the bounds of good taste considering the crimes that were commited. It was an obscure name, but one I recognized and reported. And it was changed.

I had a name "Fr0st Banshee" and I didnt like it, so I came up with a description that I copied/pasted off of wikipedia for the marvel superhero "The banshee" and then I copied his costume and had a friend generic me and I essentially got a free name change

MilitantBitch got gen'd.. so did my Phoenix..

I had one simply named "Poop". Got gen'd three days after making it. The toon sucked anyway so I never renamed it.

I recall faintly that an entire group of coalitioned SG's had their names genericized. What were the names? Something something Alpha? Something something Gamma?

One of my SGs got genericed. Order of the Peckerhead is now Order of the Censored.

I've only had one genric, so far...

I made a toon named "***** Ape Wonka" as in "Damn that thing is a ***** ape" meaning it's not something to be messed with, or that it's like a bat out of hell.

Someone randomly sent me a message claiming they weren't going to report him, but it is an offense name... I argued that it wasn't, they said it was, then they reported me, I could careless about the name but I didn't like that they claimed it was offense, yet they weren't going to report me.... If you're offended then report it, I could careless.

My dark/dark/dark scrapper is a ghost character who started out as Ghost of BlueBalls, but I had to change it to Ghost of BlueBeard.

All of the time I have played, I been luck and have not had anything Gen (yet that is).

My Archery/Ice blaster was originally named The Long Hard Shaft. That lasted just a shade over 2 days before getting gen'd.

I've never had a toon gen'd (yet) but my toon names tend to be obscure references to personal stuff, or harmless real names and jokes. Few people understand me because my brain is broken, so I'm mostly safe.

I can admit that I have reported people who have created obvious rip-off toons based on Marvel and DC comics. Pervy names that offend me personally I try to ignore instead of report- everyone has a different sense of humor. (Though if I saw one named after a known war criminal I might report that, too.)

I had Damn Scrapper made it to 50 around issue 9 and then was genericed in issue 14
