Searching for good compressed air for cleaning out comp tower

Looking for a good compressed air cleaner for cleaning out dust from hardware / etc in my desktop tower.

Any advice? Is this something office depot or office max would have so I could just take a 5 min trip to the store and grab it instead of waiting a week for it to be ordered online?

Thanks.

In general, places like Office Max, Office Depot, Radio Shack, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart are good for picking up cans of compressed air. It's been a while since I've been in a Sam's Club, so can't remember if they carried it or not.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Couple of notes:
1) never blow compressed air through a fan unless the blades are secured. Its a great way to trash a fan.
2) Run a vacuum nearby to pull the kicked up dust out (again not through a fan). No sense letting it settle right back down.
3) Most office supply stores have cans of air. Air is air. Personally, I use my airbrush compressor. Its a nice low pressure air stream thats filtered.

You should be able to pick a compressed air can for about $5 at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, or an office supply store.

Just make sure to look for ones that are moisture-free.

I would also suggest getting inside the case with the vacuum crevice tool first to clear out some of the dust. You don't want to be poking motherboard components with it, but there are plenty of areas in the case with nothing fragile.

As for where to buy compressed air; I've bought it at CompUSA, Staples and, most recently, from Amazon.com because I happened to think of it while I was ordering a bunch of other stuff.

Isn't it generally a good idea to clean the computer tower outside of the house anyway?

Besides, I thought any vaccuum anywhere near the inside of a computer was a big no-no?

Not in my opinion. I think that would be quite the nuisance as I'd have to unplug every single cable.

Why would it be? In fact, you can buy little vacuums specifically designed for cleaning out computers and other electronics.

Because vacuum cleaners in general are huge generators of static electricity. Yes there are the little ones used to suck the chuff out of a keyboard and they are safe outside of the case.

When I clean out my or my parent's computer I bring it to the basement and blast out the dust down there. Yes immobilize any fan before you blast it with air. After I blast the dust bunnies out and remove the computer I then vacuum the work area.
