I took the fire build from earlier in the post. Removed the purples since it was discussed and they weren't really needed. I left the corruptor entrancement that is in the MIDS update because it wasn't horribly priced. 100 Mil for the entire set. I also dropped the ally buff in favor of maneuvers which pushed everything a bit above the soft cap instead of just below. This also gave me another place for a LoTG recharge.

What kind of router do you have? I have an ASUS that allows me to throttle everyone else that is connected and give priority to my gaming machine. It might make their Netflix run at a slightly lower resolution but I get good network traffic.
-
I would agree. I almost never use my SG that my friends invited me to anymore. I don't need the TPs and storage can be attained in other ways. I have started forming my own solo SGs so that I have a "bat cave" in a way.
I wonder what they have against creating individual "lairs" and then letting also letting you join a SG for teaming and group outings and such. -
So it looks like the ASUS site bundles an older base driver for the ATI chipset. My steps to fixing the problem.
1) Uninstalled the game (might not have been needed).
2) Install the newest updates from ASUS for my graphics card.
3) Install the newest driver from AMD for my graphics card.
4) Reinstalled the game.
Everything seems to be running fine now at full ultra mode. -
It's an ASUS Radeon HD 5770 so I got version 8.782 from the ASUS site. I will have to check at home tonight to see what version of the driver was bundled with that.
-
I mostly get a full lock up when doing an AE front loaded ambush mish. I usually pop both ambush objects and get all the baddies on at the same time. Once it reaches a certain amount it locks hard.
It was about the same time you were talking about last night. -
It seems the game has become VERY laggy for me lately. And if the mobs are huge and there is a ton going on my game client will lock and crash. I thought maybe it was the video card drivers not keeping up but I updated those and still have the problem. I thought maybe I should dial back the graphics settings but even with those clear down to performance I get the same issue. Nothing else has changed as far as computer configuration. I am running a high end machine (6 core AMD processor, 2 gig Radeon HS vid card and 16 gigs of ram and a solid state drive).
Has anyone else been having similar issues? As a last resort I uninstalled the game and installed fresh last night. It didn't download all the way before I went to bed though. So I will try that tonight.
Is it just lag with all the new people or are there other things going on? -
This is one that really ticked me off. I look at what I could have gotten to with my 12 month pre-paid subscription versus now waiting to get one token a month. You would think it would be in CoH's best interest to get something like this corrected. I think it would encourage more people to pay up for a full year.
-
I am a paid yearly member with a billing cycle date of March 9th. I have yet to receive either my market points or my reward token. Even though I was originally supposed to receive all my tokens for my year up front but that was scrapped because of technical difficulties. I personally am not going to purchase any more points until this all gets straightened out. I work as a software engineer and would have been terminated for a roll out of production code this buggy and bad. Seems like they are too focused on getting new people in and spending money instead of making sure they have a stable product.
I know people will say to wait and be patient. I am fine with that but think they should be more up front with their VIP subscribers about where these issues are and where they expect to be in the near future with resolutions. It looks really bad for the game as a whole that these threads even exist in the first place. -
I have been wanting to create my own MA mission for this for a while. I will attempt to create my own without the rezzing baddies. I guess I could also look for a new mish that doesn't have rezzers.
-
So I almost always go check the patch notes. Always curious what was fixed and what changes went in.

Say:
"Custom Critters within Mission Architect which are capable of self-revival will give no rewards when they are defeated for the second and subsequent times. The powers still contribute to the calculation of their custom XP values."
My question is how does this affect fire farms? I know that my favorite arc for this activity features lots of little fire farm goodness that revive themselves. Will this greatly reduce the awards I get? Don't most ambush farms use this strategy to get the most out of the ambush? Does this mean my fire farm arc I use will now take the same amount of time but net half the returns? -
I typically just find a street where there are large mobs of lvl 20 - 25. Use some AOE attacks to bring down the groups. Takes about 5 to 10 minutes to get a couple tips. Many times if I only get two and end up with a dry spell I go ahead and start running them because you can get tip drops in the tip mish.
-
I would lvl out the one that you are most likely to run Tips or Reward Merit mishes with. You mentioned that you already had an AE farmer. I personally enjoy Tips and like that I can run them solo most times if I am just jumping on for a bit. You also get those amazing A-Merits that you can use to IO out the rest of your stable.
I would suggest the Shield Tank... -
Anything /Rad. We put together 3 /Rad corruptors that essentially rolled through everything.
-
I have seen a decent laptop run 3 instances and make it. The settings were set pretty low. I run two instances in ultra on my gaming pc, but that is an AMD six core processor, 16 gigs of RAM and a 2 gig AMD video card. Even then it chokes bouncing back and forth sometimes.
-
We didn't do a duo but a team of five made of all /Rad corruptors. Pretty much unstoppable and rolled through anything. Anytime we played as duos was still a very strong combo.
-
I have the same issue. Mine also does it if I quit to character select. I have not updated any drivers recently.
-
I had read also that the proc would stop working when you turned off the toggle. I have +Stealth in my Sprint slot which works great. I was at a costume contest the other night and wanted to turn the stealth off. Even after turning off the toggle the steal stayed active for a period of time.
I expected it to turn off?? -
I was able to see the power in the respec and have completed my respec. Now I am just sick of crafting new recipes...
Thank you for the replies. -
I took my Ice/Rad red side so I could get the Scorpion Shield. I have completed the Mako arc to the point where I have received a respec. That is where I thought the Patron powers were unlocked. He keeps giving me new mishes though. So have I completed the arc to the point I need to respec and get my scorpion shield I have been dreaming about? Or do I have to complete the rest of the mishes that he is giving me?
-
After reading this thread I will probably roll a DP/Traps. That does sound like a good combo. How is the redraw though? The redraw between DP and Kin is pretty bad.
-
I have a DP/Kin that is really fun. DP is a little light on the damage but has great AOE stuff. Currently playing an Ice/Rad that is a lot of fun but wish I had gone Fire/Rad for the better AOE.
-
My biggest problem with the currency change between Alpha and the issue 20 items is that nobody is running the Shard missions anymore. I fell behind because I am a casual player and didn't hammer out the ITF 400 times to get my shards (I know I am exaggerating...). Now it is very difficult to find someone even doing the task force of the week so that I can get my final notice of the well.
It makes me wonder if it is worth taking another 50 through when I get my second one. Something needs to be done to keep the TFs running as much as the trials. Maybe allow the TF reward to be 10 threads??? -
I have noticed it as well on Justice. I am about 15 shards short of having my alpha slotted but it takes forever to get a TF started. Everyone is doing the new league stuff. I did finally find on Justice that people are gathering in Pocket D to arrange league play. I have yet to get the new queue system to work...

I notice that both of you slot the following:
Level 8: Hasten
(A) Recharge Reduction IO
(9) Recharge Reduction IO
(9) Recharge Reduction IO
(23) Recharge Reduction IO
(23) Recharge Reduction IO
(25) Recharge Reduction IO
Due to enhancement diversification. Are the extra three slots even worth it? They are only giving you about 5% apiece. You could easily take the three slots and place them in Boxing to mule Kinetic Combat and get 3.75% smashing and lethal def.
