NRG/KIN help. I know...I know
I'm no expert on corruptors (far from it, I'd say), but whipping up a build for you was much more fun that doing programming homework.
You said you liked to support more, but also be formidable solo, so I gave you Psychic Mastery for some hard controls. you only have moderate defense/resist, but your heals should make up for any issues.
I like this build because you can decide to either go crazy with AoE (often getting a recharge boost for it, too!) or you can Mass Hypnosis the mob and pick them off one by one.
Possible tweaks: Drop the Gladiator's Armor slot and put it in Nova, or Drop Super Speed and get Siphon Power or Repel (), and then move the (almost worthless) third slot from Hasten into whatever you choose.

This build is very close to my Fire/Kin/Mace Corruptor's build (obviously less AoE Damage, but still has a decent ST attack chain)... Defense capped to S/L, perma hasten w/o siphon speed running! I have my fire/kin level shifted with a T4 musculature and pyronic and clarion and I solo +4 x8 ambush runs with bosses

(23) Recharge Reduction IO

(25) Recharge Reduction IO
Due to enhancement diversification. Are the extra three slots even worth it? They are only giving you about 5% apiece. You could easily take the three slots and place them in Boxing to mule Kinetic Combat and get 3.75% smashing and lethal def.
The build I made capped out the defense (with the kinetic combat in boxing already)... Those extra slots go to hasten because it makes the recharge actually perma (119s recharge) without even having to use siphon speed! Seems excessive but i think its more useful than putting the slots anywhere else in the build!
Interesting build..
I personaly am building based on how a certain non-player character plays in this game that uses energy to attack alot.
So i tend to use alot of my area of effect attacks as much as possible....with the difference being that even though i cant keep them away from me totaly...my back up of healing and such will let me do alot more to keep myself alive.
And no i refuse to take that stupid toggle that repels things.....i will tell you now it doesnt work on most things...consumes alot of eenrgy and wont work inthe bahavior adjustment facility trial nor the protect the door mission in croatoa....so there is no point to both with it.....i personaly feel the super speed whirlwind works a thousand times better if you can believe it.
Playing NRG/Kin or Kin/NRG (for a Defender) has always been about theme. You steal energy from others (Transference, Siphon Speed, etc.) and then "give it back" via your energy blasts. That's why the set is as popular as it is. Until you realize the knockback is almost totally out of your control and starts throwing critters out of position for your intended use.
For that one reason, even though you say you have "knockback under control" I always take Hover on all of my NRG/Kin or Kin/NRG builds, and I've got a few of each. That allows me to almost always shoot down and make it knockdown, not knockback.
I'm also not a big fan of Nova on a Corrupter build. Even damage capped its just...meh. But at least you've got a couple of +Recovery IO uniques in the builds shown above, so that doesn't leave you totally END drained in many instances.

My friends in the CoH community,
I know that this is a difficult combo to understand...as in, "I can't understand why anybody would do that." ;-)
Well, I must have been crazy at the time, but that's what I rolled, and to be honest I really like him (Carnivore on Justice). He certainly keeps me on my feet; I've learned to suppress most of the KB effects.
I know that with this power set combo, this toon will never stand over a pile of defeated enemies, but it is still far, far from reaching its potential.
Can you guys help me by suggesting some builds? Please? If it matters I perfer to play in the support role mode but need some solid stopping ability when times get tough.
Thank you much!
