Awesome power I agree...but the wind-up is very cartoony.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just imagine hearing "IT'S CLOBBERING TIME!" during the animation. -
[ QUOTE ]
What's not working is that the tailor is bugged that it doesn't show the character animating. So you can change the costume, but the body is frozen. No breathing, no aura animating, and no weapon drawing.
[/ QUOTE ]
Also, capes/wings are static and wings are very jittery. All of this and the above quote happens in both the costume creator and the character log-in window.
I never did see the height slider/gender changing window (even after transferring over a fresh character), however, the Mad Scientist costume options were available, including the two-tone coat. -
I have to give this one a shot next month.

Sorry, but that would be Bert the Viking (Who sadly doesn't play much anymore.

Elf Stalker is actually Marut, and he's in an undercover investigation to finally catch Ping in the alleged sex scandal with Miz Nibblez. This investigation, of course, is being led by Detective.

Lord Stryker has fifteen kids that he bought from an illegal website that he has making prestige for his new SG on Virtue. Cobalt Azurean is one of these children, and every time he gets caught playing on Champion he gets twenty lashes. And we never knew just HOW dedicated he was to us.

TFs never go out of style. And if anyone is looking to do a Citadel, Moonfire, Hess, Katie, Cavern trial, or 1st or 2nd Respec run, or man up for a 3-4 man Posi... give me a holler... ive got that coming down the pipe.

I'll hop into all of these since finding you ingame is pretty easy. -

There is more to tanking than just stone armor you know

Isn't that the truth. -

DA/Fire is a nice combo, fast and aoe heavy. Combustion and breath of fire will be your bread and butter here.
[/ QUOTE ]
My DA Tank has this combo and I find it enjoyable to play. It is my second favorite Tanker defensive set. -

They aren't going to discount you from closed betas if you bug something that's already been bugged. More bug reports on the same bug allow them to collect more data points and probably make that bug easier to fix. Of course, if you're just spamming bug reports on things like "Hasten's graphics are ugly," then you probably won't be looked at kindly.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, Hasten's graphics are pretty ugly... -

I click around to look at some of the builds. Next I see a Dark/Dark defender. No twilight grasp, no fearsome stare, no shadow fall, no howling twilight. But get this, they went into the healing power pool. I was thinking "Why the 'eff are you playing a dark defender if you aren't even going to take some of the best powers?
[/ QUOTE ]
Ok, this one got me in the same way that a Rad with no toggles gets me. -
Honestly, U, I'm surprised you could even translate any of ELF's rambling.

I might test how the changes feel on my fire/psy, but personally I thought Doms were fine as is (was), I think the problem came, as it usually does, with lousy players.
[/ QUOTE ]
This.
I never had any problems with any dom I've ever made once I learned how to play them. From the little I have tested, I am not impressed with the changes.
[/ QUOTE ]
From testing my Ice/Ice Dom and the three 2-7s (so far) that I played around on for a few hours with these changes today, Doms just might replace Controllers on my preference list. All of that damage up front was ALOT of fun to use and I didn't notice endurance or recharge problems. I found a 1 Hold, 4 Attack chain (Mind/Psi) to be fine and worked rather well, however, I am going to take the three lower level ones into the teens tomorrow to see if the fun changes any.
IMO, the telling factor was playing up a Grav/Eng without using a single veteran temp attack, which, up until now I felt were manditory for lower level enjoyment (Yes, I am spoiled by five years of vet rewards.).
-
I have tried two Doms in the past and have only taken one to 37. I might actually play them more often if most of the changes make it to live.

What is Considered the "Weakest" Dom Combo?
-
[ QUOTE ]
It actually works pretty well. Go into a mission, get a huge mob around you, activate mudpots. Take a nap. And then when you come back, everything is dead.

I guess saving that for every laundry day "might" have some merit. -

I played my first 3-4 months of this game without joining an SG. I only played one character, I teamed whenever possible and made a few friends along the way.
It wasn't until my first SG, BOSS, that I REALLY started learning the game. I apparently was a decent player because people told me so(I had quite a few actually make the comment "I wanna go make a grav/FF now), but there were some things about the game that I only learned through playing with a diverse SG such as BOSS. Shortly around that time I had also met Marut and Genna, started bubbling for hami raids, and even led one(it failed, lol). My new groups of friends were teaching me a lot about the numbers, the powersets and how they sometimes meshed better in certain combinations than others, and of course the art of fighting AV's and GM's.
I didn't really feel like I was any different of a player, though, just because people were there to spout information at me. I still played the same, I just had more information about how to build my character.
This was a totally natural learning process, though. I learned more about the game by playing the game. I don't think that anything past the tutorial would be something I would personally be interested in when it comes to learning the game, though helpful hints when teaming were/are always appreciated.
Long story short, I think teaming is the best tool. I don't think any sort of training program or advanced tutorial is going to be something that anyone would be interested in because it takes away from what they pay their $15 a month for: Playing the game, having fun, etc.
I think a form of this could work, so long as it isn't set in a "learning or training environment". Just team with people and kindly let them know that they should not have six-slotted flurry or that it's not very beneficial to their character to have 3 travel powers and stealth when they could have picked up something from their primary/secondary that would far more enhance the character's survivability/usefulness. If they don't want to listen, then they must be having fun with what they have and that's what they wanna do.
Jester said it right: There's going to be people that suck. If they don't want help, [censored] 'em. If they do...tell 'em what's up.

I would take an alcohol smashed, drunken Mephisto Controller over 99% of the server anytime. -

LOL... its like forum celeb fight. (setting cage match). Any ways Felicia you been on roll.. lately accusing someone for something. First of all you and AOW got smack up by Me, Artic, Logos on your pvp event. Since then I havent seen a AOW pvp any where. Leader of DarkGaurd is a **Bleep** Brajia something. Honesty I wont support that event.. Honesty I have my Nubs members to teach and were fairly active on teh villain side. Why help nubs? they need help them selves... More and likely they rather get another toon to 50 then do a TF. [u]You can disagree with my comments all you want I gives rat dropping. [u] No offfense to cool Darkguard members... but Brajia is *bleep* and I wont support him. We have team match..

The underlined part of this is my favorite... -
There is no bad choice for starting off as a Tanker, really. If you like that combo, go for it. My Shields/EM just hit 20 today and I am enjoying it as well. The most crucial suggestion I would give you is get Stamina as soon as possible. It can make the game tons more enjoyable when you aren't worrying about needing Endurance after every fight.

If they stuck up a warning sign every time you came to a point in the game where you should be doing/taking something that's just not patently obvious this game would be worse then cruising porn sites without a popup blocker.

Well, there is that, I guess. -
[ QUOTE ]
The endurance mechanic is simply broken, especially at lower levels. The worst part of the endurance mechanic is that the game shows its worst face to new players and their characters. Nor does anything in-game let them know that they must forbear from exploring the primary and secondary they chose in order to have Stamina at level 20.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is exactly why I am glad that I have several free respecs to burn so that I can explore the powerset then respec into Stamina around SO range. The Devs should add "Make sure you try out the Fitness Pool and take Stamina if you really want to enjoy the game" to that first power pool popup window.
