Every time I wonder if my position on this issue is unreasonably positive I see the sort of people who oppose it and feel better.
[/ QUOTE ]
I must say, this is precisely how I feel on this topic. -
Because some times people like the challenge?
-
[ QUOTE ]
I find that after using my powers twice, I do not have enough endurance to do anything else and at first I thought that my imagination was playing tricks on me until everyone else started saying the same thing.
[/ QUOTE ]
What powers do you have? Do they really cost 34 endurance each?
And when do you think this "change" occurred? Because I create alts all the time (almost quite literally) and while yes, Endurance is an issue for most low level characters, it's not exactly NEW. In fact, except for the time they applied a solid across-the-board endurance reduction (back in I5? I6?) they haven't exactly altered endurance costs for really... anything. (until the new Dominator changes, which seems to be a work in progress)
So strike me as amused and confused by your little rant. -
I like both the original ideas (Scott Calvin TF and Mayhem / Safeguards), as well as the idea of creating a more dynamic game by having Ouroborus retain any content that is changed / removed allowing the game to grow.
I might even go one step farther and desire that special holiday events be included, as well as particular occasions (A form of the initial Rikti Invasion in Beta, for example). -

Solo, they aren't much more powerful than defenders.
[/ QUOTE ]
Eh, I personally disagree, as everything I listed in my first post was done under the assumption that I was solo. -
At level 39, my Warshade is just a hair under capped damage, and able to cap Damage Resistance to everything (including Psi and Toxic) while flying around in Nova form with two fast recharging AoEs all while having upwards of three flying pets that have ST and AoE attacks.
She is a one character wrecking ball.
But your miles may vary. -
Yeah, the Turrets respawn. So what I do, is pick one turret spot, something I can take out easy (a far outer turret, for example), and then take it out. I then bring all the others (including the inner ones) to a sliver of HP.
All the while, I'll keep an eye on the turret I already destroyed. If it respawns before I bring all the others to a sliver, I'll go back and take it out. This is where it helps for it to be out of the way, so the others don't attack.
Once you have them all to a sliver, you have two choices:
A) take them all out fast, rush to the computer and click.
B) wait for the defeated one to respawn, take it out, then rush around and take them all out.
Option B takes longer, but has a much higher success rate (and if you fail, option A will absolutely take longer). -
I submit that The War of the Spider Queen has the villains winning quite solidly. The series simply couldn't exist if the good guys won, and the bad guys lost.

I have no idea what the "toggle block" is, and it doesn't affect me.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think it's when you get blocked from turning on a toggle by someone. Like, when you're at the bar, and you see this hot looking little Combat Jumping Toggle, and you go in to try and turn that on, and find out, BAM, you've been Toggle Blocked by her best friend, Super Speed! (I have no idea and thing the OP is being ridiculous, but I thought this was funny) -
[ QUOTE ]
If you got a high damage team then any damage confuse does is overkill and not needed and in a sense just leeching xp.
[/ QUOTE ]
If it's a high damage team, then Confuse also reduces the risk of the NPC to 0%. It's not just doing damage to enemy NPCs, but it's not doing damage to you. It's also applying any buffs it has to your team, not the enemy NPCs. This is especially handy against NPCs that resist many types of Mez effects, such as Fortunatas.
[ QUOTE ]
It doesnt happen often but sometimes I get on teams with multiple blasters that take turns nuking so spawn thats getting like 1 or 2 hits in before its steam rolled is just causing xp loss because they would have died anyways in the same amount of time from said nuke.
[/ QUOTE ]
In this instance is could also be argued that any Mez powers would be redundant, as they don't need to be held to be Nuked. In specialized instances, many powers become obsolete, and Confuse effects are not exempt from that. -
I like the idea a lot. Those little "?" can be replaced with little pictures, and I would be quite content with just that.
-
I tend to clear the whole room before even looking towards the AVs. Once that's done, I pull the AVs one at a time into the hallway. It doesn't always work, but that's what makes improvisation so much fun.

DV didn't resurrect this thread, it did it itself somehow.
Spontaneous zombification for the win.
[/ QUOTE ]
I've heard necrothreading is easy if you reply to something old and delete your post the moment it's posted.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's exactly what happened to this thread. I admit to using that tactic for threads I've made that I want to resurface one more time.
It IS interesting to read through here though. Of course, my first thought was, "Dr_Zues is back?!" -

No im saying your attitude and sarcasm means your incapable of even having a debate with u attack from the side and then await a response to justify a str8 forward attack
[/ QUOTE ]
Noooo, I made a comment about your suggested idea (removing the AE building from Atlas, thus making farm spam go to Galaxy). That doesn't solve the problem of farm spam, or exploitive farming in the AE. All it does is hide the problem.
Really, I didn't "attack from the side", especially since you find "tyvm" to be an attack. I actually find that amusing. I didn't care for your response in any case, because you spent more time armchair analyzing me then actually discussing your thoughts on the idea. -
[ QUOTE ]
No one got the memo? i15 is going to have an MA channel. This would solve most of the farm spam in broadcast.
[/ QUOTE ]
I figured that should have been implemented from day one. Not because it solves farming spam, but because an MA channel only makes sense to me. That, and an MA LFT flag. This way one could set that they are looking for an MA team while continuing to do other things (like run MA missions). -
So you're saying that the problem going to Galaxy is a solution?
Your attempt at controlling the posting habits of others shows that you're insecure about your own stances and beliefs.
Your personal attacks on other people's character is also worthy of note, as it shows further insecurity about yourself.
Isn't arm chair psychology fun?
Your time has been... appreciated. -
Indeed, before now, we were living off the 'bounty of the land'. Gathering what we could from what came naturally. But now, we have the tools to create our own bounty, to actually 'plant the seeds' of what crop we want, and even share it.
I believe the next step is the formation of a political system and permanent military. From there, we can organize assaults against our neighbors to expand our territory and tribe! -
[ QUOTE ]
That's reasonable. As long as a toon can't go from 1-50 via radio missions in one zone, although who really cares since you can do it via AE (well I care haha). You're idea is fine, but I think limiting it to 50s will be easier codewise - one less counter to keep up with
[/ QUOTE ]
Or it could be harder, because it's one more restriction to place on the system? (standard code rant, etc)
I'm not against limiting the idea to just 50's, but I would rather it used all the current Radio / Newspaper mission set up. Go to any zone where the Radio / Newspaper is available, and you can run three - five missions, fill up your Detective / Broker bar, and they give a special mission with an AV / EB. All of the missions could be standard newspaper missions that are level appropriate, with the Detective / Broker mission being something related to the zone (if possible). -
Then the spam moves to Galaxy (and I rather like Galaxy for it's quietness, tyvm). What next? Remove it from Galaxy? Then it moves to KR.
It's a basic wash-rinse-repeat cycle, where the cure suggested only moves the problem, or at best makes it less visible. -

The game was made by Americans ............. shhhh!! Intelligent people talking.

It's amusing that you didn't get the reference. It's comical that you acted condescending over it. You are quite the laughable fellow. -
There really is no comparison. Not because one is so much better then the other, but because they are both so different.
My Warshade didn't start as a farming too, but through a couple respecs, became able to do 200+ damage with each Dwarf Mire, every 10 seconds. Not counting the fire damage Proc. And that's just Dwarf by itself, not using Human form for anything other then Eclipse (just to cap off my Resistance) and Human Mire (for 30 seconds of buffed damage and accuracy, good for starting off).
I also have an SD/SS Tanker, and while I love both, I like my WS just a little more. It fits my play style, honestly.
So I suggest picking the one that would be more enjoyable. Other then that, I can't think of a reason to do both? -
Edit: Just realized I misunderstood the post I replied to, and really have no comment to it, because it's something I find ignorably "eye roll-able"

This means it is useless in Tier 1 MM pets, as they at lvl 50 they will be lvl 49.
[/ QUOTE ]
Personally I think it'd be a waste to slot SA into tier 1 pets. First choice slotting for me is always tier 3, unless for some reason I decide to slot a different set in the power.
I can see why the programming doesn't allow pets to maintain the enhancement bonuses. IIRC pets are not malefactored like the player, they are simply summoned according to the player's mal'ed level, not their true level.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was thinking of 3 pets with the "chance for build up" proc.
[/ QUOTE ]
I kind of like putting priority for my Tier 1 pets, myself. They're the 'bread and butter' of an MM for the most part. At least with Thugs it feels that way (though Tier 2 seems pretty outstanding too. So much to slot there). -
[ QUOTE ]
While it's tangental -
Why don't we give all those sets with "debt reduction" bonuses something else to go with them at that same set spot? I'd say replace, but you know someone's actually worried about debt (for some bizarre reason) and wants those bonuses. Probably. Maybe.
[/ QUOTE ]
I actually have a habit of avoiding sets with debt reduction in them, if I can help it. It's such a waste of a Set bonus, that I'd rather have 1.83% Fire and Cold resistance then 10% Debt Protection. -
