Feed my eyes!
I agree. Something like that, while on the surface seems minor, would add a ton to the immersion.
/so much SIGNED.
I'm entirely sick of having giant '?'s for all of my souvenirs, and clues. We need visuals for them.
While that would mean a LOT of pictures, I completely agree - pictures for our clues, please! For the most part, those pictures would be simple documents, a word bubble or things of that nature, but when we get an ITEM, it would be nice if we could have a look at that item, even if it was only in a 64x64 little pic.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

Good idea.
I was wondering what the Wheel of Destruction looked like myself. I kept picturing 3 contestants standing around a giant wheel with pegs in it and an arrow clicking between prizes. And some blonde chick turning over the letters in the clue message.
A visual representation of what exactly it is we're collecting or finding would be very nice for the feeling that we're actually ACCOMPLISHING something besides gaining levels.

I lack the proper words to express how much I would love them to do this.
/signed seems so insignificant a response.
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

Wheel of destruction turn, turn, turn. Show us the Dooooom!(tm) that we have earned.
Sorry. Couldn't resist.
There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"
I can't remember when they were removed, but, at one point, Souvenirs (and possibly clues as well) had little rounded off squares with question marks inside that were used as placeholders for, what many people assume, what was supposed to be a picture of it. They've got loads of unused badges, so I think it would behoove them to expend some art resources to generating some little pictures for occasional clue and every souvenir.
Items for our souveneers.
"Samual_Tow - Be disappointed all you want, people. You just don't appreciate the miracles that are taking place here."
I like the idea a lot. Those little "?" can be replaced with little pictures, and I would be quite content with just that.
Yes, yes. /signed
In addition, some nice pics of NPCs doing this and that placed within mission text would be nice also. That way instead of just being told about the Vahzalok stealing bodies or the CoS kidnapping people you could actually see images of them doing it.
I'm doing the Wheel of Destruction arc with my TA/Fire controller right now, and it just occurred to me, I have no idea what a Wheel of Destruction looks like. I have a contact standing here, telling me, "Yes, I can see how it fits with the other pieces you found.", but I can't see how it fits with the other pieces I've found because there's no visual representation of it in the game.
And it occurs to me that this is a problem. We're running through story arcs, picking up temp powers, getting all kinds of short, vague descriptions of items and objects in the game, but we never really know what they are because they're never shown.
Add pictures to contact dialog and temp power descriptions. It would, in my opinion, enhance the experience, the feeling of being part of the game world instead of just some random player reading things on a monitor. Being able to see that Idol of Lughebu, or the pieces of the Wheel of Destruction... that'd be downright nifty. We'd know what we're fighting for, and that would add a significant degree of immersion to the entire game.
All of these graphically pleasing power effects, all of these wonderful costume options, more capes that you can shake a stick at... and we don't have simple images of items/objects in description and dialog windows? Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaame.
