I've pretty much assumed that she's mind riding someone ever since I first saw the cutscene. Most likely she's riding Manticore and it was she, not he, who actually fired that arrow.

Quote:He doesn't exactly want to be her boyfriend, he's too crazy to think of it that way.Is it established that CK is wanting to be Penny's boyfriend or is that still just players belief?
Last I knew he never saw her that way.

I've got a controller that uses boxing, but if I hadn't had to have it for tough/weave I would have taken air superiority instead.

It's also true that the pets in that shot are definitely NOT in bodyguard mode, as they are set to passive. Bodyguard requires the pet to be in defensive stance and either follow, goto, or stay. And in supremacy range.

So far I've not even seen Penny in the 'moon' mission. Granted the characters I've done it with (so far) have had enough health and regen that hiding under her shield wasn't important.

Quote:That's where I put it on my Ice/Dark tank and it works quite well. That and I prefer slotting Siphon Life as a heal instead of an attack. You need a 12 second base recharge to guarantee a 100% proc rate. I'd put it in something that recharges 12-15 seconds myself, then add buckets of recharge. 10 seconds would be about 80% chance to proc.
I tested this on Beta with Crowd Control (12 second recharge) and I was very happy with the result. I'd copy your toon to beta and give it a quick test, just to make sure it's what you want.
For /Dark, I'd consider Midnight Grasp. -

Now we've wrapped up the first SSA we can begin looking forward to the next one.
So what do you think will be (or what would you like to be) the focus of the next SSA?
What I would like to see (and there's some strong evidence of it being possible) is the redemption of Scirocco. The Freedom Phalanx really took it on the chin with Who Will Die, now it's time to shake things up with Arachnos.
Scirocco has always been something of a reluctant villain, and recent events have had him acting more and more like one of the good guys. In WWD part 7 he's the Arachnos member to first propose working together, even being a good bit friendlier to heros than to villains.
The story of Dark Astoria goes even further in making Scirocco (and even his lackey Ice Mistral) a heroic figure. He's even come so far that (in Praetor Duncan's arc) Serafina is willing to work with him. And Ghost Widow's cutscene conversation with him points strongly to the possibility of him fighting what he has seen as his fate.
And what would happen to the Arachnos power structure if one of the patrons decides to go straight? Suddenly Recluse is left with an idiot, a psychopath, and a ghost who continually claims to be unable to change as his chief underlings. Do the three escalate the conflict they've been having behind the scenes? Is there a battle royale among those who want to ascend to patron status? Mu'vorkan certainly wants the job. Is Red Widow interested in it or does she prefer a more, um, intimate relationship with Recluse. Maybe Dominatrix, having burned her bridge to Praetoria, will try to get in good with Lord Recluse (which would cause Ms. Liberty to have a fit.)
TL, DR: Scirocco goes straight resulting in a Rogue Isles civil war..
So, what would you like to see (or think we might be getting even if you don't like the idea?) -
Quote:I put Black Scorpion on my ignore list though. I'm never teaming with that idiot again.I'm not sure how I feel about the arc as a whole, but I really liked the last arc. It felt epic in a way that I don't think we see often in this game.
As far as epic, the third mission in particular really nailed being impressive visually. The epilogue was pretty nifty too.
The only letdown for me was the fourth mission. When I was told I was going up against sapper tanks I was expecting to actually have some nasty sapper tanks to fight. Instead I just had to break inanimate objects that were only dangerous to Black Scorpion. -

I like to have Recovery Serum on hand for some mid-level characters that have endurance problems and the Envemoned Dagger for particularly tough mobs. Other than that, not so much.

He isn't as mysterious as Albert Maurer.

Quote:That's my thinking as well. I don't believe it's been officialy stated, but the implication has been that they will share a reward timer.I would guess it will share a timer with the first series, unless it has totally different rewards or something, but AFAIK there has been nothing resembling an official statement on the matter. We don't know the name of SSA2 yet, much less the mechanics of its rewards.

Quote:You should only get the bonus when soloing the mission and having the mission set to have the mobs at +whatever your own incarnate level is. How bout that?Just a note: You can't turn trials down to -1/x1.
Is Time Saver really that hard to earn when the enemies are all -1 and you're +3 with t4 Judgement and Lore pets? And how long would it really take for, say a stalker, to ghost each mission on that arc in Ouroboros and get back to that fight over and over again? To say nothing of a team of eight +3s that includes one stalker with Team Teleport... do they all get the salvage? And the bonus merit too? Because on a trial, the whole team gets them.
Best case, we'd be looking at a once-a-week time gate on this.
Edit: But yeah, there would almost certainly have to be a time gate on it.
Edit edit: FYI, I wasn't being sarcastic. When you get a badge for refusing any help then you should really have to refuse any help. -
Quote:If I went in with a fresh 50 I wouldn't have my difficulty settings at the same level as my t4'ed characters. I agree with you on the principal that there should be some reward for beating the things, but the tentacles genuinely aren't that tough. The 'monster' label on them is highly deceptive.
So, how about not going through and saying I'm exaggerating because you're +3 and loaded up on a high damage character? Get one or two of your other characters - yes, *go* for a defender! - with no level shifts and other "help" and see what you think after spamming a bunch of attacks for no reward for a few minutes. Otherwise, it's like saying "Oh, I had no problems with the hellions at the Steel Canyon fires!" to a level 13-15 - then adding "Of course, they were grey to me, because I was on my 50." Not even close to the same. -
Quote:On the itrials you get an astral merit when you complete a badge objective for a badge you already have. Having the DA badges work similarly shouldn't be much of a stretch. How do you handle giving that salvage to folks who already have the badges?
If you mean retroactively giving the bonus to characters for having gotten the badges, that's unlikely to happen.
