It depends how much you want it.

If a particular character has caught your imagination and you want a powerset or costume piece or whatever, I say go for it now. At some point the game will stop or you'll go off it and those Paragon Points will be worth absolutely nothing, so enjoy them now. Leave saving for real life.

(The same goes for influence, merits and everything else in my opinion)

I know, right? I mean, I remember a while back I paid fifty dollars -- FIFTY! -- for this game, and now they just give it away! Why did I waste my money? Not to mention the subscription fees I paid. I should have just waited and played for free. It's a scam, I tell ya!

Are you seriously complaining that there are too many discounts available?

Or are you under the impression that "charge what you think you can get for it now, then lower the price once sales drop off" is a sales practice somehow exclusive to CoH and Macy's? Because that's pretty much how the retail business works. Buy a DVD on release day, six months later it's selling for half what you paid for it. Pick up a new Xbox game, and pretty soon it's dropped from sixty dollars to twenty, and all the expansions come with it for free!

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

Ok i guess your right. but still i paid for that stupid dog pet and now its free in superpacks which i took anyways...

but you see my point.

I bought it yesterday and its on sale today!

That "stupid dog pet" was released with the Super Packs after, as I recall, people pissed and moaned that it could only be obtained by buying Super Packs, and here you are pissing and moaning that it can be had for free - by chance - from buying a Super Pack?

The pet from super packs is not the same as the one in the market.

Single Target Radius = 0. AoE Non-Cone Arc = 360.

To get it two months sooner, of course. Kitsune is totally correct - this isn't an evil scheme cooked up by Paragon Studios, it's completely normal in almost any business for things to go on sale after a while, and those with the patience to wait for a sale almost always get the best deal. They aren't even permanent price cuts, anyway.

Oh, come on, pissing and moaning is precisely what you were doing, at least own up to it when you're called on it. As others have said, this is all just standard business practice. In fact, you can even see it in the in-game market - we have the 'buy it nao' people and those who get the same item cheaper if they're patient. Not a novel concept. You can pay more and enjoy your goodies now, or bide your time and get them for a bargain later if you don't mind doing without for the intervening spell.

Then you should by the SBEs when they are initially introduced because they are introduced at a sales price and come back later full price.

Buy things at prices that you are happy with and never look back.
Look ahead, if you like, but don't bother looking back.
If it felt like a good price then... all is good.

No im not i wasnt talking about the one you get from the supepacks. I was talking about how i bought one and only a week or two later they gave one to the super packs which is the same thing with a different color. And

I agreeed with the later posts about how i should have waited...

In 2003 I bought a 52" rear projection screen TV (not HD) for $1600 and it was awsome. I watched so many movies and football games on that with my friends and family. It was fantastic.

Now I can buy a HD flatscreen the same size for under $500... Should I have waited?

I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.

Last night I bought two copies of Going Rogue from Amazon for $2.35 each plus s&h. Though if you buy it directly from Amazon it's $6.35 each and a possible candidate for free shipping.

It used to sell for just a bit more.

I'm just going to add that to two of my unpaid accounts. ^_^

I picked up on myself too

It should be noted that the $6.35 price is through Resellers that are fulfilled through Amazon. They still ship from Amazon, and are eligible for Prime, but aren't actually sold by Amazon.

Amazon's direct asking price is still $29.99.

$6 and change for an account upgrade and a month of game time is pretty good IMO

In the interest of fairness, I only did this because you pointed it out in-game. ^_^
