SpeedFan has the option to use C or F. I just changed mine to F as a comparison, and it reports 90F for the Hard Drive as well, which is about 32C, nice and cool... and normal.

HalfSlice, if you are not seeing any voltages or other temps, you might have to click Configure and enable a few more devices. It seems strange to me that SpeedFan would default you to just the harddrive.

    Memory usage

My client regularly runs around 1.1gb of usage. It's not abnormal for it to get to 1.3 after a couple of hours but things start getting unstable round 1.5 or so.. and a few of us have gotten used to logging back in to our team and saying "sorry, got the 1.5g crash", lol.

As for today's patch, I haven't noticed any significant increase over the previous version.

lol, i16 has come and gone. i17 has been in testing for a little while now already. GR will most likely be released along with i18 content. They have already announced i19 content to follow GR as well. Unless you were making a joke about the spelling of the thread title, then sure, we can say i16 was going rouge (referring to power color customization), but Going Rogue is yet to come. haha

Anyway, we (GR purchasers) pretty much have the choice of getting a free month of service OR early access to the new powersets as they are tested and released.

If we wait, we can buy the Complete Edition for $40 and get everything, including the additional pack and a free month of service.

If we prepurchase for $30, we get early access to powersets and full GR content when it goes live. We can buy the extra add-on pack later for the extra $10, but you wont get the free month of play.

So basically it's just personal preference. Which one is worth more to you.. early access to powers, or the free month?

it was like a sneak peek at how they actually make the floor and areas around it.almost like a tile

the color shapes around the statues ive also seen when you run that low all the time..question! were you atl / tabbing to your desktop alot when it happened? and are you running an ati card?

usually to fix it to make it go away you should be able to just move your slider up to another lvl and then save it..then go back in and readjust it back to where you usually keep it.but if your atl tabbing itll most likely happen again..ive had that werid stuff happen for years now.
The situations you are describing should NOT happen under ANY settings unless your video card or system is not up to the task (or unless the game file containing the low res image is missing or corrupted).

That is NOT normal. If you are used to such a thing, then I'd guess you are running the lowest settings because you have a video card that can't handle the game properly, in which case THAT is your problem.. not the settings.
  5. Once you reach the 25million badge, your progress bar for the 50million badge will appear at 50% already, leaving you with only 25million more.

Same for the pillboxes. You (or your team) only need to take 100 of them to get all 3 badges.

Gratz! Don't sell yourself short. Getting 600 in a couple months still takes some dedication and some tedious work and you are rightfully proud. Well done!
  7. I suprisingly ran into this issue today, and I remembered seeing this thread. Camera angle didn't seem to have any effect on it at all, but I did eventually get it to work.

Apparently the Clickable distance is very small. I practically had to stand right against the pillar to get the hand cursor to appear.

I tested it again several times after, and with the same results. I had to stand extremely close to the banner to click it. I don't remember having to be that close before, but I could be wrong. Camera angle or position on the banner didn't seem to matter at all as long as I was close enough to it. The other objects in the series don't seem to have such a short distance on them though.

I agree the Merit Vendors are strange. They have been "broken" ever since they were released. They don't work the same way as other contacts for some reason.

For example, go to WW's and compare the way the Merit Vendor works to the way the WW Reps work...

WW Employee is Targeted when clicked on. They do not have a Hand cursor at all. They simply bring up the interface if you are close enough. While targeted, if you have the Actions window open, clicking Chat will open/close the WW interface as well.

Merit Vendor can be Targeted when clicked with the normal cursor and gives no merit store window. In some places it gives you a hand which will bring up the interface and not even target the contact. While targeted, opening the Actions window and clicking "Chat" does NOTHING.

It almost seems that the Merit Vendors are somewhat surrounded by an independent transparent object that acts as the store interface, while the WW Reps and other contacts are the clickable object themselves. I think I /bugged it a while ago, but no real response other than the usual "forwarding it to the team".

    Another strange random thing:
"/targetname Wentworth" will target the WW Rep
"/targetname Merit" will NOT target the Merit Vendor
  8. My personal feeling is that computers (in general) function better if the room temperature is below 65F (18C). If it's hotter than that in your room, a small fan pointed in the PCs direction can go a long way until you finally decide to kick on the AC.

As for the temperatures you are currently getting, they seem well within normal ranges.

On a side note, does your case also have an intake fan in the front?

  11. Getting badges does not make you a nerd.
Actually reading the plaques does not make you a nerd.
Crying over it is a little weird, but still does not make you a nerd.
Making this thread makes you a nerd, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. Me replying to it makes me a nerd too. lol

Sure. As always, you guys can pick whatever challenges you want to go for. Make sure to mention it once we are about to start so everybody else agrees.

Switch Outcast to Hellion, and I agree.

The Steel Canyon entrance at the top divides the two groups. West is Skulls. East (and all they way around the South end) is Hellion.

I'll also add that you can get Lost bosses and clockwork gears in that one as well. Then there is an occasional Vahz Embalmed (but not many that I remember), and the infamous Kraken! lol

You will get the Oportal power at a lower level too. It's not even grey'd out. But when you use it, you just get an error message that does not allow you to enter it.

It's just like a normal one for you, except when you finish the mish you'll be able to lay down an Oro portal that you can't use.
I don't think you can start flashbacks if everybody wasn't already in the same zone. That means you can't run it from Ouro. You'd have to gather everybody in an SG base (including the lowbie) and run it from the Ouro Pillar there.

Like the other poster said the +5 endurance isn't so amazing as to be a must have.
Yes the 5th Column count, but I don't think the lvl 25 OP can do an ITF, lol. One would also have to run it multiple times to get those badges. I hardly kill any 5th in that TF unless I'm clearing the map on purpose, and even then it's not really that many.
  17. In my opinions, the pillboxes are actually easier than getting the badges for the heavy. If you position the heavy correctly, you can make them last for a couple of pillboxes, especially if the character you are using has some buffs for it. Even if your character can't survive, you can hide around the corner and let it do it's thing.

Yes, taking out a box that is already taken over is much eaier/faster and the heavy will take minimal damage from it.

That said, you'd hit 100 boxes well before you ever get close to 250 heavy.. so what do you do?
Grab a heavy and relog 150 more times to keep grabbing it over and over? no
Grab a heavy and leave the zone back and forth 150 more times? nah
I just grab the heavy and suicide into the nearest pillbox (preferrably one not taken over with all 4 turrets still there).

If it's a really busy time for pvp, you can even advertise you are farming the heavy and you can get to the first one near the base before your pvp timer runs down and grab the heavy.. just let somebody kill you, and run back from the hospital again before the timer counts down. Repeat for a couple hours until you finally have that badge also. If it's not busy for PvP, or they are not fighting in front of your base, you can just get a friend to help kill you as well.

*Note: If for some reason you are slow and somebody kills you before you are able to grab the heavy, at least try to die next to the platform. If you open your Target window and click Actions, you can still click "Interact" while you are dead and still get credit.
  18. If you have a friend with a lvl 50, you can simply have them SK you to take care of the ones in Striga very quickly.

lol yYeah that could work too. Sounds like a plan.
  21. Please see your other thread regarding this...

There is more than one objective for that badge, so you cannot always trust those progress bars. Just kill some more of those Hellions, and you should get the badge normally.
  22. Next time this happens, just invite them to your team, or ask them for an invite to theirs, then you will all share credit anyway.

As for knowing if you got credit or not... that's been a problem with those badges for some time. Because there is more than one objective for those badges, you can't always trust that progress bar, so best thing to do is just keep killing fires and wiping out Hellions with an AoE whenever you see them.

    You'll eventually get them.
  23. I usually sort it by LVL (which will also put all the people online at the top of the list), and I never see it reset itself, or at least never notice it. I'll have to keep an eye for it now.
