Did you try Zloth's Demo Launcher? It makes things much easier on you.

Make sure you are running CityOfHeroes.exe not CohUpdater.exe

I've been trying to pick up Zloth's Demo Launcher from the links I could find around the forums but those links always threw me to a dead end for some reason. Yours worked which I thank you for.

What I've seen from using Wiki doesn't really work.
I'm half assuming it has something to do with Vista. I just just gives me a to allow or cancel then it starts the game client like normal.
