Quickest way to kill 200 wolves/vampyrii?

I returned to the game a week ago, after one year and some, and I'm chasing Atlas Medallion.

Since the last 9 months I played were on redside, I don't remember the best way to kill 200 warwolves and 200 vampyrii, I have done all the other stuff I need to get the accolade.

I'm a 25 fm/sd scrapper so the mobs in Striga are still a bit hard for me since the wolves hit really hard and they are usually orange/red.

There's a TF that speeds up that process, right? I don't remember.

Thanks for any help!

Only TF I can think of is the Moonfire TF. If you look around Bonny Morass and The Bog in Striga there should be some lvl 23ish mobs, bring purples. Remember the Vamps come out at night.

One thing I would suggest is to check your server board to see if there are any badge hunting channels that you can ask for help on. I know that on Protector, there's a channel called Protector Badges (or is it just Badge) where people are able to ask for help.

Striga Island... There are large spawns of wolves standing around to be accolade fodder during the day, and after nightfall the vampyri line up to take their place.

City of Heroes was my first MMO, & my favorite computer game.

Yep. Striga. And t'Hell with geting the Atlas Medallion quickly - +5 max Endurance isn't all that great and can easily wait 'til you're level 35 or 40 and can mow them down without effort.

If you have a friend with a lvl 50, you can simply have them SK you to take care of the ones in Striga very quickly.

One of Moonfire/Hess basically gives you the badges if you do it. I don't remember which one though cause I've been redside since i11 almost solely. Alternately you'll get them both doing the ITF a few times cause of all the 5th Column ones (which seem to count).

Like the other poster said the +5 endurance isn't so amazing as to be a must have.

Yes the 5th Column count, but I don't think the lvl 25 OP can do an ITF, lol. One would also have to run it multiple times to get those badges. I hardly kill any 5th in that TF unless I'm clearing the map on purpose, and even then it's not really that many.

Moonfire. Aside from the regular spawns in various missions, that TF has one mission entirely of vampyri and another entirely of puppies.

Thanks a ton for the answers guys! I'll do moonfire then, I like TFs and haven't done blueside TFs for a long time (except for a recent Synapse, and well before I left I was doing lots of ITFs on my vills and taking my mind/emp out for the occasional MoSTF because she was requested sometimes by my Brazilian coalition because they called me a great 'healer', although I barely used heals except in the final encounter... I used mostly controls and buffs, but I don't mind the label lol, found it funny. I think I'm still sick of the STF even after the long break).

And Striga itself is a good place to level and get drops because there are lots of white-con banished pantheons that give me good salvage like Dark Astoria (and fire melee just destroys them). The problem is that even a white wolfie can hit hard at this level, I killed some orange bosses there but when they hit me.. ugh. When I had a couple small purps I could kill a large mob of yellow and orange doggies but that was not always the case. Should be easy at level 27 with Incinerate slotted up a bit and the wolves being green-blue to me.

I couldn't find vampyri because I didn't know they showed up at night, thanks for the info.

But anyway, even though it's a nice way to get drops and level, TFs are funnier, I've always enjoyed teaming, I just didn't remember the exact TF, I thought it was Citadel or Manticore. I'll check out the freedom TF channels, although assembling a PUG TF in Freedom is not hard at all, unlike many ppl my PUG experiences there were mostly positive (even did a PUG Dr. Q a long time ago and in the end there were still 6 of us).

And thanks for the welcoming G_G!

Let me know if you need a hand with this, by the way - I've done this quite a few times for people wanting the medalion as soon as possible

...You didn't know vampires come out at night?

You Sir/Ma'am will be one of the first to be devoured when the undead apocalypse comes!

Shows how much you know!
They're not undead. They're created by science, just like the Vazhilok zombies.

Thanks a lot for the offer G_G, I'll probably assemble a Moonfire on my fm/shield tho (haven't had time to play in the last 4 days :/ ). But hey if you play on Virtue I have a 24 DB/Elec who could use the help, although she doesn't have end issues after SOs... yaknow, Energize, DB is kinda light on end and at 35 I'll have Power Sink.

For now I think I'll end up trying (emphasis on TRYING) to avoid my altoholism (is that a word?) and level only my fm/sd because I have much less time to play nowadays than I had before.

lol @ you Aluminum_Dave, vampires even glitter in daylight, haven't you watched the masterpiece vampire movie Twilight?

What I do for this is, as mentioned previously, Moonfire, then I follow it up with the 3rd and 4th Striga arcs from the Hansens.

Moonfire, as mentioned, will get you very close to both badges, maybe even get you Silver Bullet. There are two missions by Hansen (Lars I think) that are all vamps.

Following that formula will not only get you the badge, but award merits and unlock Hess. Much more efficient than hunting greys.

I just did Mender Lazarus' task force today. There are a bajillion werewolves and vampires in that one. Also, we did Silver Mantis right after. The second to last mission is 100% vampires. Go in a big group and I bet you can do the badge in one run through.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

Nice to know about Mender Lazarus for other toons

Om my fm/sd I got Silver Bullet on a Moonfire TF (8 people team so lotts of wolves) and finished it 24 vampyri away from the badge. I just killed in Striga because I couldn't start the arcs Deacon mentioned.

Moonfire TF, first mission is all Warwolves second is all Vampyri, or vice-versa.
