PCSAR is still serving the community at large! As most have pointed out our services aren't as needed in the current game, with the temp travel powers and ouros etc. The revamp to the Hollows, while bringing players back to it, also meant it now had a hospital. Which removed the need for rezzing.
Currently, I've been patrolling Nova Praetoria offering heals and buffs as needed. It's been wonderful getting reactions from the new blood.
Taxibots are around as well. Just not as visible. -
Who would be your personal favorite trainer ingame. Redside, Blueside or Greyside. Is it the look of the character? Maybe it's the powers and lore?
Does your toon have a connection with them?
Mine would be Ms. Liberty in Atlas. She's the 1st one I trained at and will always stick out in my mind as 'trainer'
I even take my 50's back to her to level up that one last time. -
Before GR we could say that we only 'arrested' or subdued the mobs in game. However, specific missions in Praetoria actually force you to kill the boss. No wiggle room, spelled out plain as day, kill this person.
That said, the game is rated T for teen. Don't expect fatality animations anytime soon. Thankfully. -
I can't play Tanks. I just can't stand not doing damage.
I'm mainly a blaster/Mastermind player. Few scrappers.
Controllers and Defenders always stall in the late 30's for me. -
I can't stand a cluttered screen. Chat is usually the same height as my trays but this is the only pic I have with the UI. I use Ctrl to pull up the 3rd tray with my rest and temps and base porters. Team window goes between the chat and power trays on buffers. Attacks on bottom buffs on top.

Book? What's that?
j/k
Seriously, I didn't even know it was based on a book. Looks like I'll be giving Amazon some money soon.
Thanks Sleestack, I've always been a fan of post apoc movies. -
I'll second the nod for Shawshank Redemption. Pefect shot to end a wonderful movie.
SPOILERS
5th Element: When we find out it wasn't her all along, it was love.
Jurassic Park: "Mr. Hammond, after careful consideration, I've decided *not* to endorse your park..."
The Postman: I personally love this movie, despite it's critics. The ending was wonderful.
Short Circuit 1 and 2 Cause J5 makes me smile
What dreams may come: "When I was young, I met this beautiful girl by a lake." Still gives me chills.
Flight of the navigator
Dawn of the dead remake: Just cause I wanted a gruesome death for that tool the whole movie.
Scarface: I mean, how else could it have ended really. -
I'm really happy with the new design of boss fights in some missions.
Adds a sense of strategy that had sorely been missing all these years.
Protean proved to be much fun on my blasters, though he gave my scrapper a bit of a workout, which is good cause it's usually the other way around!
Belladonna was fantastic. I didn't see it coming! Kept me on my toes, even though she was no match for my blasts. It's these kind of dynamic battles I hope to see much more of.
Even though it's been around longer, the redside Marshall Brass arc is still probably my favorite mission to solo.
The 1st time I ran into Prof. Echo my jaw dropped! I survived, thanks to inspirations. But it was Wonderful!
More like these please.
It's mission design like this that makes methat WarWitch is in charge!

Peter Venkman's dead?? Ah man...
While I can see it be cool to have him come around and be able to talk about what it's like being an actual ghost it just kinda... doesn't sit right.
I mean, he's the heart of the movies for me. It was his con man ways that got them to actually attempt busting in the 1st place.
Ah well, a Venkman ghost is still better than no Venkman at all and with Bill Murray being the way he is these days guess I should just be happy.
Also, when did Rick Moranis retire? -
It's all been helpful, your just unwilling to accept whats been offered.
Which doesn't really make us willing to offer more.
This community is one of the most friendly you'll find for any MMO. Most of us bend over backwards to help out new players. Just this week I've donated 6 million in cash to new players to help with the learning curve.
You know why?
Because they conducted themselves with respect.
With regards to teaming in game. This new expansion has been out for less than 2 weeks. Which means most of the population are all enjoying the new content. Which means they are rolling solo for a bit, to read the arcs and what not.
Teaming will pick back up shortly.
So, were you really looking for advice? Or did you just wanna come troll/advertise for the next cookie cutter fantasy mmo?
If your really wanting help, chill. We'll forgive you and do our best to give you the info you need. I'm sure SteelClaw could give you spreadsheets out the wazoo if your wanting a beastiary.
If not, good luck on your future endeavors... -
I still don't know why they changed it to begin with. Having them unlock at 50 made more sense to me, as you'd have more experience with the game and could look to the EAT's for more of a challenge.
A new player fresh out the gate at level 20 would be so lost trying to roll a Kheld or soldier it would prove more frustrating to them, I'd think. Causing them to forget about them.
That said, since they are being advertised as being unlocked at level 20, then they should be unlocked at level 20 regardless of which side you start on.
Have you tried training your Praetorian to level 21? Maybe that will activate it. -
My mind!
It boggles...
Nuked his own thread in less than 2 posts! -
Infinity is my home server and it's full.
Virtue was my 2nd server of choice but its full.
I decided to create my Praetorians on the lowest pop server for performance reasons. At the time Liberty was last in the list so it was picked by default.
I'm so thankful I did, as Liberty does deserve the friendliest server nod.
Not only that, I'm not forced to be surrounded by uninspired toons all over. So far, nearly everyone looks to put actual creativity into their creations. Something lacking on more populated servers.
To the OP. I wouldn't spend money on a transfer just to get those badges. I would however consider rolling up an alt or two and testing the waters though. You might discover you'd rather be here anyways, badges or not! -
I never understood why the cape mission redside was tied to the starter contacts. They should just place an NPC near the two that acts like Blueside's city rep.
I ran both arcs a few times on villains, then skipped them on subsequent plays, making it a minor annoyance to run the missions just to go steal a cape. -
That is spectacular! Love the attention to detail.

Ouch, there is no way I would wait til 44 to get Fearsome Stare. It's just to powerful to hold out that long.
IMO, I'd push back Maneuvers if not remove it entirely and grab FS at 22.
You'll get more survivability out of FS than the defense buff would provide. When an entire mob stops hitting you and cowers in fear, well defense doesn't matter as much then.
I picked Maneuvers and Tactics on my Necro/Dark but quickly realized it just wasn't worth it with bodyguard mode and all.
I would keep Tactics though! -
Just a rumor.
Not likely to ever happen for security reasons as StarKitten mentioned.
Making you enter your password again is a verification step to prevent accidents.
Like you walk away from the PC to get a drink and your angry GF/Mom/BF decides to delete all your characters. They can't unless they know your password.
That said, I'd love it if they could upgrade to have it be a password box without going all the way out of game but I'm not holding my breath. -
I haven't had to call forth a GM since long long ago. When they gave us the option to complete or abandon.
Back in the day though, around Issue 7, me and a team of 6 ended up waiting for nearly 2 hours before giving up and disbanding. The very second the last guy quit the GM sent a /tell.
That was the longest wait. Usually they'd appear within 20 minutes for me.
Haven't ran said mission yet. -
Doh!!
I completely forgot WS had Nova form too. Must've been an off week for me. -
Quote:Quoted because it can't be stressed enough.I just noticed one more hole... Howling. I wouldnt go without that. Maybe get rid of one arrow attack? That power is huge, AoE Debuff to Regen comparable to that of the Rad, it /stuns/ targets, and it happens to rez everyone near you potentially being able to rescue a wipe. Definitely one of the jewels of the set.
I originally skipped howling, as my build was strictly solo I didn't see the need for a rez that wouldn't work on my pets.
Then an enlightened soul clued me in and around level 36 I vetspecced it into the build.
O. M. G.
I regret going so long without this little gem in my arsenal. The stun is powerful right outta the box and the -regen makes my zombies chew mobs like butter! -
From what I've heard the a.i. was busted because of Demons. Turning every MM set into a melee one...
This is the biggest issue for me, as I'd been looking forward to rolling up a
Bots/Storm for blueside since I heard about GR a year ago.
I'd rolled one up on Red and loved it to level 10. Then decided I'd have more fun on Blueside and shelved him.
Recreated him earlier this week with much excitement. Only to now find my bots taking a shot and charging to their death. This is really frustrating and now has me curious how my Thugs/Traps faired.
I'll have to check him out later tonight to see if thugs are busted too.
So, he meant Missiles will be fixed, not updated in patch notes. That's a relief. Now could we get word on when to expect the a.i. bug to be looked at, or is it just going to be considered WAI now? Since a fix would probably end up breaking Demons again.
Edit: Man, I don't envy these guys. The sheer amount of work that's gone into GR is astounding. Issues like this are inevitable but I'm sure his workload has doubled by now! As bothered as I am with this hiccup I'm still really impressed with how smooth the expansion's release has been. -
I love my PB but it started feeling like a weaker blaster to me so I rolled up a WS and really liked it... at first.
I have a really laggy system so I can't use Teleport without Hover.
No problem I thought, I'll just pick it up at the next level.
Then I found out I wasn't allowed to.
This perplexed me. Why? Why is the pool greyed out? Shouldn't I be able to have any pool I want?
I can't use TP without hover as it becomes an exercise in frustration.
Since I have no option to pick hover on my WS...
It was sad when I deleted him even though he was still low level.
As the thought of using jetpacks and the like was way too concept shattering. -
I don't even bother to exemp.
I like taking my 50 energy blaster to Perez and nuking large groups of Skulls just for Lulz.
Also fun is using Power Push slotted for KB with a friend in AP playing 'tennis' with the Hellions around city hall, trying to launch them over the building is a laugh riot!
In answer to your question no they shouldn't drop that low. /bugged -
2nd thing I did in Praetoria was roll up my long awaited
Bots/Storm for a trip to blueside!
Can't wait to dig into all the content with my creations.
I'm in the camp of not liking the Demons. They are obnoxious and annoying and I found my Necro/Dark to be much more effective.
I rolled up a Demon/Pain as a concept to be my Necro's dark queen.
After 16 levels I deleted her...
For me /Dark had perfect synergy with Necro. The heal never missed a beat in 46 levels and being melee meant I didn't have to worry about the wonky pet A.I.
Bots/Dark should be fierce, once you get a feel for the sporadic nature of their positioning. The heal can miss outliers easily unless you group them together. Tar patch should be good to keep the foes at bay while your laser squad tears them up. If you haven't played /Dark before I'd suggest skipping Black Hole but taking everything else.
Some don't like Petrifying Gaze but I found it really helped to be able to take that longbow flamethrower out before he could melt my cannibals.
I took Pulse Rifle just for cosmetic reasons, so I could see my gun. But with so many vet powers at my disposal it never gets used and will eventually be specced out.
