Bots/Dark Build suggestions - is anyone NOT demons nowadays?

Seems everyone is doing Demons now, I don't see much on the Robots anymore...

Is Bots/Dark still a good set? Anyone have any builds for a good PVE build? Is AV soloing possible with this set?

Nah. Demons have even gotten some backlash because people claim they look like cows and constantly make annoying sounds.

Demons are both new
Look good(in a fancy higher quality way, their actual aesthic appeal is up to the viewer)
Are effective against single target and aoe
Are very easy to play of the MM's(Resist aura, heal, good base resists, -recharge, hold)

Anything /Dark is a good set
Bots are still a good set, though recently nerfed in the incendiary missle department.

2nd thing I did in Praetoria was roll up my long awaited
Bots/Storm for a trip to blueside!

Can't wait to dig into all the content with my creations.

I'm in the camp of not liking the Demons. They are obnoxious and annoying and I found my Necro/Dark to be much more effective.
I rolled up a Demon/Pain as a concept to be my Necro's dark queen.
After 16 levels I deleted her...

For me /Dark had perfect synergy with Necro. The heal never missed a beat in 46 levels and being melee meant I didn't have to worry about the wonky pet A.I.

Bots/Dark should be fierce, once you get a feel for the sporadic nature of their positioning. The heal can miss outliers easily unless you group them together. Tar patch should be good to keep the foes at bay while your laser squad tears them up. If you haven't played /Dark before I'd suggest skipping Black Hole but taking everything else.
Some don't like Petrifying Gaze but I found it really helped to be able to take that longbow flamethrower out before he could melt my cannibals.

I took Pulse Rifle just for cosmetic reasons, so I could see my gun. But with so many vet powers at my disposal it never gets used and will eventually be specced out.

While the exact details of Psylenz's build are not quite what I go with, essentially I run an identical build on my Bots/Dark.

Personally I fit Hover in there as I get lag spikes sometimes and Teleport without Hover for me is quick death... oh and I prefer Mu Mastery to Scorpion stuff.

I'm not.

I DID get my DS/Therm up to 37 before constant bubbling drove me insane. Deleted him and haven't remade. Having too much fun with Ninjas and Zombies right now. I will most certainly make another DS someday, when the popularity dies down a bit.

I'm enjoying my DS/Therm MM so far. With fire shield up, they're fairly durable, and I LOVE the fact that those damnable little scrapyarder demolitionists don't just destroy my pets, because they're so resistant to fire. I've had a lot of fun getting revenge for all my other MMs who used to tear their hair out fighting those guys.
