Just curious. It appears that the Reputations status have been removed from everyone. Did I fall asleep in a cave somewhere and miss something or did they just decide to remove that function/feature from these forums?

They made a few changes to the forums last month - rep and tags were some of the casualties

It doesn't matter how long I wait--the people that quit the game over the forum changes are unlikely to come back. That's not funny, and it never will be.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. Well, if someone canceled their subscription to the game because of a change in forums policies then i suspect they were one of the rare people who only subscribes for the forum pvp. Which seems a bit excessive to me, but then the forums could vanish entirely tomorrow and i'd still continue playing the game. Posting in other forums, of course, but i'd still be playing.

i guess i'm strange like that.

I'm suddenly trying to imagine someone who buys a subscription to an MMO, but only to participate in their forums, and they never actually install the game on their computer.

I was discussing the execution of the changes with someone related the other day, and you're more or less correct. It's just easier to for them to enforce the previously existing rules from a clean slate perspective, even if there was very little change at all.

You're not strange--people just derive enjoyment from the game in a variety of different ways.

I've seen people do this. Or I should say I know of one person that has claimed to do this.

Well, yes. That occurred to me as well. Actually i was thinking of the similar saying: "Tragedy is when it happens to me. Comedy is when it happens to you." Regardless it was not intended as a serious assertion. And i knew full well in advance that the irony (literary irony, not that watered down pop culture stuff) was likely to be missed since that is the nature of ironic statements. If the irony is obvious to everyone it's not really irony.

Another somewhat ironic statement. i know full well how much of a sore subject the rules changes were. i even made posts opposing them.
