A Few Questions

1. Is the SuperGroup in CoH like a Legion/Guild? If so, I'm looking for one.
2. Is there an actual up-to-date wikipedia database that actually covers everything from the bestiary (listing of all mobs ingame and their location/level/etc.) to every single mission/quest in CoH?
3. Are there any good unofficial CoH boards?

I heard that there was some wiki site for game, but have never used it, so not sure of the URL.

Sorry.

Well, thanks anyways.

1. Yes. Plenty out there, or just make your own at level 10. Solo groups are viable, and can make full bases.

2. http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Main_Page

3. I hear rumors of them, but I think they work under Fight Club rules.

Not a board per se, but a very active thread can be found here.

If I had posted an example of what I was not referring to, Paragon Wiki would be one, and coh.wikia would be the other.

(Guess I really won't be around for long once FFXIV comes out.)

Then you might want to use the words "hand-holding walk-through" instead of "wiki" next time.

Yeah, there's a comment that makes people playing this game want to help you. You shelled out $30 just for the privilege of trolling some random forum? Nice.

Statesmonkey Sez: Lighten up! It's a game, for Lincoln's sake!
Also: Six years of casual play begins to look an awful lot like one year of hardcore play.

You're bad at asking for help, EDAR.

Thanks for eight fun years, Paragon.

Get over yourself. A wikipedia is an encyclopedia (and makes it all the more important for a min/maxer like myself), for an example of a real wikipedia, go look at FFXIclopedia.org. A wiki also is meant to instill a sense of community.

Please, trolling ASSumes I came here with some bad intent. I came here quite legitimately, and all I find at this board is just a group of forums with no real community. Which is sad, since CoH is supposedly an MMORPG, whereas the only CoH I've been playing for the past week was a single-player game with a little coop on the side...

A Wiki is ment to provide a lot of useful information in one central location (in which Paragon Wiki provides very well). Since when is a Wiki supposed to instill a sense of "communnity"?

Just because you suck at finding and getting on teams doesn't mean everyone else has the same issue. Also, if you think CoH doesn't have any real community, then maybe you should go play something more suiting of your style, like Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

If you think Vidiotmaps is only somewhat helpful, maybe you need to take a step back and figure out why exactly, you are playing this game. Paragon Wiki and Vidiotmaps are the two ultimate sources of all game releated info. If you are only finding that info somewhat helpful, this game isn't for you.

The one at wikia would definitely be an example of where not to go. It is not updated by the community and, on at least one occasion, has had spyware linked through ads.

I'm glad you took a whole two days to form an opinion of what is, in fact, an active and interesting community.

Take your own advice, you already made yourself look pretty ignorant. Did you even LOOK at ParagonWiki? You left the impression you didn't even try since the latest update to the site was YESTERDAY.

I'm going in for the kill now...

OH MY GOD WHAT IS ALL THIS INFORMATION!?

http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Hellions
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Freakshow
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Rikti
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Soldiers_of_Rularuu
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/5th_Column
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Arachnos
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Longbow

and that is only a SAMPLE of the enemy groups

I would of never found out this stuff if I used the SEARCH FUNCTION on the site or clicked TABLE OF CONTENTS.

****, ************, you have the patience, attention span, and intelligence of a mayfly.

Play the ******* game, *******. Ask people in-game. Socialize. Quit being a self-aggrandizing little **** who can't "beat" a game with out Prima holding your hand the entire way.

Seriously, if you are that discouraged with the immense array of independently derived and maintained sources of information on a 6-year old MMO, most (if not all) of which are 3rd party and user-supported/created, your expectations are a little high. It is possible to play (and enjoy) a game without a walkthrough/nanny/guide/cheat sheet leading you by the ring in your upturned nose.

TLDR - SITFUACO, or GTFO. We won't miss you.

I kinda wish that I wasn't drinking any water while reading this. But choking on the water did make it a tad more entertaining while I laughed reading this thread though haha

It's all been helpful, your just unwilling to accept whats been offered.
Which doesn't really make us willing to offer more.

This community is one of the most friendly you'll find for any MMO. Most of us bend over backwards to help out new players. Just this week I've donated 6 million in cash to new players to help with the learning curve.
You know why?
Because they conducted themselves with respect.

With regards to teaming in game. This new expansion has been out for less than 2 weeks. Which means most of the population are all enjoying the new content. Which means they are rolling solo for a bit, to read the arcs and what not.
Teaming will pick back up shortly.

So, were you really looking for advice? Or did you just wanna come troll/advertise for the next cookie cutter fantasy mmo?

If your really wanting help, chill. We'll forgive you and do our best to give you the info you need. I'm sure SteelClaw could give you spreadsheets out the wazoo if your wanting a beastiary.
If not, good luck on your future endeavors...

and to the OP:

Since GR launched, I've soloed a bit but spent most of my time in teams of 8. You may be experiencing the issue of teams don't come to you and you need to look for a few minutes. GR may be a fresh(ish) start but a lot of folks have friends lists and channels they recruit from, so try joining a channel like AE Anonymous, Infinity Badges, Infinity Badge Seeker, Infinity Hamidon, etc. and ask for team/advice. Most of the content in this game neither has nor needs lengthy how-to guides (that and the best speed runners on this server are barely literate). GL HF.
