Here's a few Weapon samples. Axe, mace, and swords (which can be used by BS or Dual Blades, but not Katana)...
Yes, the mace is just hitting people with the back of the axe. It's actually pretty cool that way, I think.
There are also guns for Dual Pistols and a cannon for the Assault and Beam Rifles, but I don't have pictures handy for those. -

The IDF set is free to VIPs, but must be purchased by free/premium players.
Not sure exactly how VIP-to-free transitions work on costumes, though. Would assume you'd keep the pieces, but then not be able to alter the costume with those pieces if you stop paying your monthly fee. -
I wouldn't expect anything 'til i22, at least. We know of three different melee sets that are in the queue, so to speak, for release. I have a feeling that whatever new sets are coming for Dominators, they'll probably be a feature-piece for the next issue (possibly as a Time Manipulation-equivalent one free set).

It's 6 minutes for Corruptors, but it's on an 8 minute, 20 second cooldown for Defenders, according to real numbers. Is that an error in the numbers, or the power (as in it says one but recharges in another), or should we be expecting a fix on one or the other in the near future? Or is there some reason I can't fathom for the significant discrepancy?

Not that I think I'm all that big name of a guy, but this thread does make me glad that I went ahead and built a new alt with my main name on day one.

Well, I doubt it'll make it into theaters here, but given that I was too young to see it in theaters the first time around, I'll definitely go if the opportunity presents itself.
-
I did it with /Devices as a Blaster. Now I've realized I have a couple more server slots than I thought I did, so I'm trying to decide between /Traps and /Poison for a Corruptor. I expect the former will be more survivable, while the latter will be absolutely murderous (to them, not me) in hard-target fights.

I'd call them more of a gold. And, hey, blue and gold go together on heroes like, well, two things that go together really well.

To be fair, if it seems like the relative improvement of Mercy Island's content relative to that in Atlas Park is less, that's more because Atlas Park's previous content was pretty danged bad, so it had more room to improve.

You get it for your whole account. Build as many or as few characters with it as you like.

I'm weird, I guess. I like the new Brawl sound better than the old one.
Haven't tried listening to it in Shadow Maul yet, though. That may drive me nuts. -
Well, the first thing I "bought", in a manner of speaking, anyway, was the Celestial stuff. I'm doing okay for budget this month, so I just went ahead and bought the big pack o'points last night, and figger I'll use 'em when I use 'em.
As for my first store purchase...I may give in on my Beam Rifle crusade and buy it despite the missing models if I'm able to get confirmation that the Celestial Rifle is usable with the set. Otherwise, the first purchase is going to be an extra costume slot. -
Reset game password, still didn't work at first, but now I'm in, so either somebody flipped a switch, or I just had a bit of a delay.

My new "home server"? No, probably not.
However, since I've already filled up all three pages on Virtue, and the single page I have on Infinity and Guardian, Exalted will be the next server I start filling (at least until they have a notable sale on more server slots, anyway). -
Can't help but notice we're still here. Or did the forums blink out while I wasn't looking?

Quote:I think the problem with that is that if the villain doesn't realize the sin, then the punishment is meaningless. If Calvin Scott remains unrepentant to the last, he gets to think he dies a martyr, and doesn't really get what he deserves. Hence why I'd really rather seen him driven mad from grief and despair before we take him down. So, for me, the most apt ending for the Scott/Mayhem story would be for Calvin to kill Mother Mayhem while she's still lugging around Aurora's body, because "The Cause is more important than my feelings for my wife." Then our player heroes (with the player villains dragged along, because this'll presumably be co-op) have to take Calvin down. In this scenario, Calvin essentially damns himself to becoming exactly what he claims to fight against, with the added irony that he's incapable of even seeing the possibility that he's done so.

Beam Rifle is single target focused, and fairly heavy on long-term damage, but doesn't have much in the way of minion wiping (outside of Overload, which is on too long a timer to be reliable), so you'll want something that can either make up for your lack of AoE, or something that'll assist in the mitigation department. Devices does seem like a good match, both thematically and in terms of synergy (it's the combo I want to make). I could also see Mental Manipulation and possibly Electricity as other good matches.
At higher levels, it looks like Munitions will be a good APP, too, since it uses the same gun as your primary powers, ala Assault Rifle (though when last I played with it, there was still some buggy redraw issues, but I'd expect them fixed at some point). -
This is basically one of a few "best" scenarios I see for the end of Calvin Scott's storyline, the other being him "rescuing" Aurora only for her to hate him for what he's become. I could also see him "freeing" her, and her spurning him because she doesn't want to be freed.
More than likely, Tilman won't be vanquished from Aurora regardless, since that would make the repetitiveness of the raid when it happens exceptionally notable (plus they'd have to change Mother Mayhem's sprite if they ever wanted her to reappear in the story). So "Aurora's in charge" or "Leave me with Mother, you monster!" seem a bit more likely.
But either way, as long as Calvin Scott gets the despair he most decidedly deserves, I'll be satisfied. -

Quote:Badges are unlikely, because the the one gun from the stack that most logically ties to a badge, the DUST Cannon...is available by default. They'll probably be, in what would be classified as a horribly unscrupulous business move, made available for extra money. Some of the rifles from beta will not be available in live. Best guess is that they're tied to badges and thus won't be available unless you have said badges. Or perhaps they're slated for purchase from the paragon market. Either way if any rifle model gets removed from the game I imagine it would be accidental.

I always liked Galaxy City. Picked it as my very first starting zone when I came to the game. Couldn't help myself. I was offered a chance to go see "Back Alley Brawler" or "Ms. Liberty", and I mean, really, with names like that, the choice was clear. So Galaxy became my first home. Liked the layout, always felt it was a lot more "scenic" than Atlas Park as well. But that said, I rarely go back there anymore for anything other than the occasional fedex mission, though when I do visit, I'm always reminded of how nice a zone it is.
So yeah, I'll likely miss it from time to time, though not in a major way. And at least if i suffer a major nostalgia bomb, there's always Ouroboros, which is more than Faultline got. I wonder if the "memory" will be fully functional? Like with BABs for training, Jack Wolfe, working arena, and all the rest? -
9 hour (announced) downtime?
I expect a 14 hour (actual) downtime!
Which means poor Z's going to be knocking back the cough drops for the rest of the month.
