Main account can log into game but not forums.

I have two accounts and have the same issue.
Same here.
That really is an issue, since this "main" account is going to premium soon, and the second account (Ad Astra) is staying VIP.

Edit: Updated so you don't need to read through alot of replies to see the fix.
If you are currently unable to get on the forums, log in to your account management page.
Change/Update the password you use to log in to City of Heroes (the forum password is the same as your City of Heroes log in).
You seem to be able to simply 'change' your City of Heroes password to what it already was in order to gain forum access.
Try again, you should now be able to log in.
As talked about lower down in the thread, several of us were able to log in after doing the above.
It's now Issue 21 and I am back!
My new Global is @Zyhar

My passwords were the same before but now I'm in because I changed both passwords to a new (same) password.

Either way it seems that updating the NCSoft Password and City of Heroes Password, making sure they are both the same when updated, does seem to do the trick.

Exact same issue, exact same fix. Thanks for finding it, but weird none the less. Seems like there may have been some larger, unforseen, issues from yesterday's downtimes.

I was having this same problem, but was also unable to login to my Master Account. After I was able to get access to my Master Account, I was able to reset my game account password to gain access to the forums. Like some others posting here, my game account and master account used different passwords, and they still do. So to confirm, you do NOT need to set your Master Account password and game account password to the same password. It appears that something in the forum auth list got corrupted, so simply resetting (or even re-entering) the password through the Master Account panel seems to do the trick.

Thanks for this thread, at least now I can get on the forums. Is there scheduled maintenance or something going on, because the game tells me that 'public access is denied'.?

Ahh its good to know that you don't have to change all your passwords then, and that just changing/updating your City of Heroes password is enough.
It still is rather odd though and it seems to be affecting a large amount of people. There were several on Exalted alone saying that they couldn't log in this morning due to details being wrong.

Aha I reset my nc account password first and that did nothing. I guess it does make more sense that the coh password should be reset.
Resetting the game password worked for me.

I had to reset my password twice in order to get in... Ouch, Now I just need to remember I changed it.

I just changed my password to what it was anyway. That seemed to do enough to kick the password back to the forum software.
Account Management was as slow as molasses though.
Ya I just reset my password to what it already was and that seemed to work for me as well though it took a while.

I had the same problem. Resetting the game account made no difference, but after I reset the master account password I was able to get logged in here or I guess I wouldn't be posting this...
Reset game password, still didn't work at first, but now I'm in, so either somebody flipped a switch, or I just had a bit of a delay.
Since the forums came back up yesterday i haven't been able to log into the forums on my main account even though logging into the game using the same name and password works just fine. It tells my i've entered an invalid name or password. i've already sent Avatea a PM, but was wondering if anyone else was having this issue. (Of course if you only have one account subscribed to the game you won't be able to respond...)
