Unfortunately in the announcement discussion thread there are peeps already complaining about this. Seems as though they are worried that people that don't want sb crack for instance, will be put off with kins that use this to buff people that normally would not want it.

Just goes to show that no matter what the devs do somebody won't be happy with it.

Ok....... but I request that all said toons have random DE ambushes screaming bloody revenge for their fallen brethren....... and if you lose even one of those ambushes, you lose your staff.

I have seen (and been guilty of participating in) leapfrogging on fast moving teams made up of even a small (say 4+) vet players that regularly team together. While the main group is dealing with mob 1, 2-4 will move on to the next mob and start clearing that out. Once the group on mob 1 is done (if the team works well together) they will either move up and help clear mob 2 or move right past and start on mob 3.... and so on. This leapfrogging style absolutely rolls tf's along and I believe is a main strategy used on speed runs.

I can see though on a PuG team if everyone isn't on the same page how this can lead to disaster. On the times were I have helped out in this, it is with a group of vets that know what they are doing and I have confidence in their (and my own) toon's ability to pull this off. I'm not sure if this has resulted from more people getting to the softcap, I know in my case it isn't since my blaster is nowhere near it.

I'll say what others have said in the past: it would be a nice option, but I have multiple toons that the change would kill their entire concept. If its an option to be the present costume OR clones OR better yet customizable costumes then I'm all for it.

Or from a historical perspective what if that story did take place in the 30's, how was it dealt with and would that change how people look at the character today if he was less than liberal in his thinking for that time. The old bugs bunny and such cartoons from WW2 that portrayed Japanese and their culture during the war are very interesting to watch now but mostly buried and forgotten. I would bet very few people have seen them in the past 40 or so years.

The topic is......passe, for the lack of a better term. Ultimately I think topics like these ie racism, affirmative action, discrimination are a big deal because people with special interests keep making them into a big deal.

What if Lois Lane was black? Then she would be black.... so what? What if Lois Lane was Louis Lane? Or Lois Li? or his sister Lois Kent?..... ok, that one went too far. But you get my point.

It is interesting to me as someone who enjoys history, the real history about putting things into historical context for the time, that something like affirmative action was first passed in the United States in order to promote equality based on merit and has become synonymous with something else entirely for today's generation. I'm not saying whether that's right or wrong, whether they had it right in the past or whether people are more "fair" today... just putting it out there. Some people like to stir things up.... and I won't say whether that's me or the fact that this topic got started.

If I was a dev who's full time job it was to promote, develop, create etc. CoX, I would look at the drama class posts in this section of the forums over the last [insert dramatic time frame here] and cry a little inside..... then laugh, alot.... then log in to my bank's website and pay some legitimate bills like power, rent, water.... and call my significant other tell them I'll be late because they have to put in extra time to redevelop a portion of the game that works fine but has a small following which is willing to sacrifice a much larger potential player base that makes much more use of new content, end game content, new zones, etc. etc. etc. because it wouldn't be in that larger player base's and hence the devs interest to keep a happier larger player base.... well, happier... and by proxy keep their jobs.

But yeah now I guess I totally see how it's over!

I guess my point is if you change nukes be prepared for a wholesale change to the entire tier in order to keep the "crashless" blasters from complaining.

Sounds like a bag of worms that the devs will avoid at all costs if you ask me.

Edit: thats not to say I don't like your idea. I do.
