Im usually FCARP.
First complaint after a red post.
Nah , just kidding. I never complain. -
I support this idea. Make it so.

Quote:Seconded.I wouldn't use respecs or resources changing my build right now because i24 is on deck and it allows you to add a significant amount of resistance to a build. It will have new ATOs, new sets for powers, and lots of set changes that directly address your goal of adding resistance.
Copy your build over to the beta server and check out some of the new IO sets. -
i believe there is an alignment change that can be bought using points. maybe he means that?

I have OG 5 slotted with the purple stun set on my long time stalker. It is awesome when well slotted. Kinda like Choking cloud on a rad defender, or hot feet on a fire blaster, it has its fans and its detractors.
I dont argue with the detractors because if too many people liked it, it would get hit with the nerf bat. -
i love the bio armor set. most interesting thing they've done for melee in awhile. i will be playing it to 50 as well.
largo-a bio armor fan
thank you devs! -
if you've never taken a stalker to 50 solo is a good way.
Anything can solo to 50 just depends on what difficulty you want to play at. -
poison has a pretty good rez. it makes you puke after 60 sec.

Can someone tell me the best place to put these special IOs in a Thugs/Storm MM?
Edict of the Master Defense Bonus
Call to Arms Defense Bonus to Pets
Command of the MM Rech/Pet +AOE Defense
Soulbound Allegience Chance for BU
Sovereign Right Resistance Bonus
Overwhelming Force Dam/KB to KD (Gale or Lightning Storm)? -
Since no one has commented on this, I am going to assume I just described it poorly. Let me try one more time.
I think what this comes down to is the game's not capable of permanently displaying Combat Attributes of your pets if the main combat attributes window is not open. Even if you choose to follow a certain attribute in the permanent window, say follow damage bonus of your bruiser. When you close the main CA window, or clear target, the damage bonus in the permanent window reverts to the MM himself.
So this is not a bug, meaning were not losing the bonus from Supremacy, we just have no way of seeing the bonus to pets without leaving the main CA window open. -
and I reported it in game, but I am not sure if its really a bug, or an old bug that they can't fix or what, so I'm bringing it here.
On my level 50 Thugs/Storm, I just got the final Pet buff IO, the Soverign Right Chance for + to Hit. Once I placed it, I wanted to see if I could find evidence that it actually fires. Since I placed it into Brawler, I clicked on him to watch his combat attributes, I noticed that the buff we're supposed to be getting from our inherent power to +Damage, we only get while the Combat attributes window is open. Once we close the window the buff goes back to zero. I found this was not just for the bruiser, any henchman I watched I would see the buff from our inherent, until I closed the window.
Duh, well if you close the window you wont see the buff, silly. Yes. if you right click on it and select follow Damage boost it goes into the permanent window. But that buff goes away anytime I closed the main combat attributes window.
So I have to ask, is this a long standing bug? or did I uncover something? Or is there something peculiar about my build that is causing this? -
Where is the closest invention table if you're currently in Night Ward?
Besides teleporting to your base I mean.
Would anyone object to them putting an invention table in the Dark Ward Midnighter Club?
Or would that somehow break the game? -
Thanks for the quick response. This forum community is still very helpful.

Is that experiment completed? We're not doing that anymore? Just wondering.

I agree and am in favor of making them emailable to yourself only. There is really no profit to be made from these. How could it be exploited?
It is frustrating to have one character they seem to drop on more frequently, who doesn't need them anymore, when you could use them on another, who just has bad luck with the RNG. -
Quote:This is almost exactly how I play this game. If I log on and no one I know is on, I start to solo and am lucky to make it through one mission.I rarely solo - when I do I tend to get bored after two or three missions. If I can't find/form a team fairly quickly I'll usually just log off and play something else rather than start soloing.
I'm actually not a very social person though - I almost never go out, and arguably have no friends - so I'm not sure it's the social element per se that I'm after in teaming.
I think it's more the interplay of multiple (player controlled) characters, the extra variability and unpredictability that brings, the usually faster pace (though I'm not a fan of the speed run), and all the synergies that can develop, both through powerset interaction and different tactics people bring.
It's also kinda why, while I'm only really interested in teaming when I play CoH, I'm not so keen on the trials. Adding more people starts out making things more interesting and complex when teams are smaller, but after a certain number it just turns into a big generic mush. Adding one more person to a team of four can change the dynamic in interesting ways and potentially let the team handle significantly stronger challenges (or indeed, hindering their progress if the new addition doesn't work out so well). Adding one more person to a league of twenty, eh, it's not even noticeable, however good/bad a player they are (unless they've gone to the extreme of deciding to troll the league by deliberately triggering trial fail conditions).
Small teaming is where its at for me. 2, 3, 4 Im most happy with.
I never run my own teams. I am most successful running with one good friend that I've been internet gaming with for over 10 years. We click. If one day he decided to quit this game, I'd probably be gone soon after. -
I use Time Bomb on both my /Dev blaster and my /Traps Corruptor.
Yes it needs slotted.
Yes it takes too long to set up on teams. Big whoop. Find better team mates.
No I don't want it removed from the game. It is for when you solo.
Would I like it if they lowered the set up time? Yes.
Would I like it if they reduced the recharge? Yes.
Tweak it.
Don't drastically change it. -
He's nailed to the perch!
-
Just hold onto them. For there's always a chance that they could come out with another Brute ATO set someday, and that one would need catalyzed, right?
-
Radmental Boy. Radiation/MM blaster.
He's done. IMO at lvl 27. No more XP gain needed. I've been playing him this way for over 2 years. I play him regularly still. Freaking fun to team with higher lvls. Or lower lvls. Or solo for hero merits. I built him as a concept toon, to be a sidekick, like Robin. Never the best, but definately not the weakest, either.
His Cosmic Burst is to die for! -
I don't understand, sometimes, what the big deal is with placate.
We all know, not every foe closes in to melee you.
When 5 foes are stumbling around in your melee oppressive gloom aura, theres one that stands away and shoots. HE'S THE ONE TO PLACATE.
Then you can still AS critical hit the one unlucky melee foe who's still stumbling around in your aura. If you choose to even do that. Its not necessary. Just punch away until you've build up enough assassinate juice to fire off AS with the red ring signifying you'll get a good one in.
Placate still works great on those ranged foes. Always has, always will. -
/Traps gets mezzed less than /devices. Perhaps that's what Gemini_2099 was thinking?
I agree though, one ACC in most attacks while running TD.
2 ACC in Slug and Burst. 6 slot those puppies. -
There are instances for me when using Moonbeam is fun. That's why I use it.
Doesn't matter if I can kill it faster another way.
Lets try sniping it.
OK!!
All that matters.
Not trying to start a fight, here. Just that there are different reasons to play this game, than maximum efficiency. I know, Mr. Pither squirms whenever I say that. -
My Dark/Dark/Soul stalker was the first of my characters to make it through all of the DA arcs.
A few issues back, when they made the effect of toggles disappear when he was hidden, made him much more effective.
I22 making AS useful in the attack chain after first strike gave me another useful powerful attack.
Void Judgement gave me just enough AoE to feel I wasn't just a ST murderer anymore.
I think the devs have made all the right moves to make Jacob Deyer feel like a powerful incarnate character, and not just a poser. I am finding myself continuing to want to play him, when a tough situation arrives. I know I can make it through. -
I keep placate ready incase I have a ranged attacker that is focused on me, just to get him off my back. I dont use placate on targets already in melee.
