((Ma/Sr)) Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing resistance?

Hey,

((Title was an Adele reference btw not some morbidly depressing post ))

Ive been looking at trying to maximise my main's build ((ma/sr))

Not that the old build was bad, far from it. He sat at 6 secs from perma hasten, no end issues, runs the top Ma attack chain, softcapped to M,R,Aoe and carries Aid Self.

Everything you would expect from a half decent Ma/Sr build (i hope ) ...

Basically with this new build Ive kept all that good stuff and more, now 1 sec of perma hasten, more accuracy etc

What Ive changed the most is the S/L resistance from 16% to 24%, to do this Ive chucked in the Pvp 3% res IO and taken the 6th slot Damage proc from Cobra strike in favour of the 6th piece of ATO for the small S/L bonus.

I still have a slot free aswell ...

What I was thinking is that my Defences are now only at 46% so I could stick the Pvp 3% def in tough to round them up a bit. Or chase that last 1sec of recharge for hasten?

I guess what Im really asking is is the 6% increase to S/L worth it? or should I leave the damage proc in Cobra and just chase more recharge?

If anyone can see any glaring errors or improvements they would make feel free to chip in. ((Another option i thought of was to drop Conserve Power in favour of Focussed Accuracy and maybe 2 slot for end red?))

Note: Not interested in Incarnate soft cap (dont really like to solo and on trials theres always more than enough +Def from league mates to cover)

I wouldn't use respecs or resources changing my build right now because i24 is on deck and it allows you to add a significant amount of resistance to a build. It will have new ATOs, new sets for powers, and lots of set changes that directly address your goal of adding resistance.

Has completely forgotten the +Res changes coming to IOs, definitely wise to wait for i24.

Here is what my main, also ma/sr, looks like. I focused more on HP/regen (2058 hp) as opposed to resist. Helps a ton. Also took the melee hybrid, with it on my regen shoots way up when surrounded. I do'nt have hasten because I got tired of the fire hands, but guess thats changing. Mine has a little gap in the "best" chain, but I do'nt prefer that, especially with new proc, I use EC then CAK for ST or EC then DT for AOE. CAK has a crazy chance to crit, and EC is pretty high as well. I don't see how the best attack chain doesn't use EC, but I guess numbers tests don't lie. I also just enjoy the attack. Also, keeps me from having to use hasten and worry about the end crash from it. I hear the next scrapper ATO set is awesome as well. Probably some changes to be made to my build when it comes out, but hopefully can just plop it over the set of crushing impacts in EC and be done.

Ive found one interupt reduction to be plenty, i can usually get it inbetween some dots also, depending on the dot.
